My daughter had a tennis tournament at College of Dupage which really doesn't have much around it (from what i could tell). When we started to get hungry just being spectators I sent my dad out to find some food. I did a quick search on Yelp and pointed him the direction of County Farm Bagels. Similar to the tennis courts at College of Dupage he said the bagel place wasn't easy to find, but he made his way there. From there he ordered 2 sandwiches and then realized he forgot his wallet at home. Oops. And he's about 10 years behind when it comes to having apple pay on your phone. The woman at the bagel shop was nice enough to let him call me and pay over the phone. 20 minutes later he made his way back to Dupage and I enjoyed a poppy bagel filled with egg and cheese. It was a bit too cheesy for my liking, but still tasted pretty good and I was famished so anything would do. I also don't find Chicagoland to have the best bagels, but this one was pretty soft! This is quite far from me in the North Shore, but if i find myself in the area again (likely for another tennis tournament) I'd stop here for a quick bite to eat. read more

Yesssss, FINALLY a bagel spot in my area that I actually like! A friend and I stopped in on a late Friday morning and the place was consistently busy. Even with the influx of customers the staff members kept up with it and provided excellent service. Tip - bring cash to avoid a 3% CC charge. This location is smaller/narrow compared to the Winfield 1. Indoor seating is good for 10-15 people. I got the cheddar oregano bagel toasted with veggie cream cheese. The bagel itself was flavorful and had a decent texture. I should have asked for have it be double toasted but that's just my preference. I enjoyed the cream cheese too. I also should have asked for them to drown my bagel with it but again, that's my B. Overall flavors were there for me and I really liked it. I'm particular when it comes to bagels and I'm happy to have finally found my go to bagel shop in the SW burbs. I'll be coming back to try more items very soon! read more

Locals know about this place and I'm so glad I got a chance to visit. It's a small bagel and coffee shop in the middle of downtown Wheaton and there's a location in Winfield too. I first got a chance to try their bagels when I grabbed a left over dozen at the end of the night. This time, I had an amazing egg and cheese with an everything season bagel. It was delicious and so filling! It didn't break the bank at all and you can walk around downtown Wheaton afterwards. I come here all the time and the bagels are good. I will say they are more bread than chewy and not really flavorful. Tasty sandwiches though. I will recommend that they should change their toasting process!!! I feel like I've never had a properly toasted bagel here and the toast with cheese on the bagel, and the burnt cheese is not good. Good prices on most and there's a variety of flavors. The inside is pretty small so it's mostly a to go place. A stop here on a recent morning was to get a few bagels. It's more like a store than a cafe. There's only a few tables. Oh well, most people don't stick around. The bagels are the main thing of course, and I got a few. It's about $3 each. There were some pretty cool flavors including sweet ones like blueberry and strawberry. Also options to make breakfast sandwiches with cheese and eggs. There's not that much to put on the bagels, but you can get a good breakfast at least. Good place for picking up a few bagels to eat here or at home. The final on the register stated $14.90 Asked for a receipt after the cashier took my card and completed the purchase. The final sale says $17.13 and the receipt stated such. The receipt states a $2.23 tip was applied. I questioned the $2.23, and the cashier stated it was for the bagel. I asked again and she stated it was the 3% surcharge for using the card. I asked a different worker for a manager and they stated it was the girl who checked me out. Luckily a male employee was able to assist. The male employee stated that I chose the tip, which I did not. I was never asked to give a tip or given the machine. I asked him to explain the $2.23, but he could not. Eventually, he stated it must have been a mistake and that they did not steal money. I was refunded the $2.23 in the end. I'm lucky to have asked for a receipt. The cashier is tipping herself. If you want to call me a liar, let me know and we can go to the police station together. If the owners want to respond, please do. I have attached the receipts. For one of the original purchases and a second one, I requested a breakdown and then a refund. Came here on a Saturday and there was a line out the door. They were moving at a good pace though! Staff was friendly and fast! They didn't let the crowd overwhelm them. I had a bacon, egg, and cheese bagel. It was pretty good. The egg is scrambled. It's not the best breakfast sandwich I have ever tasted, but it definitely was worth getting. BEWARE! Their cashiers add hidden fees and tips without telling you! It feels really dishonest :( I am so bummed because I've seen many other people have had this same experience here. I love to give a nice tip on my terms. Not when I am secretly charged $15 without mentioning it. If you get more than a few bagels, they automatically add a large tip as if you're dining at a full service restaurant. I find that to be really dishonest and makes me less excited to support a business that is taking money from its customers without disclosing. It's "to go"- I'm not sitting in your restaurant and no one is serving me. Again, I love tipping on good service but in this case it feels inappropriate. The bagels are good, and I'm sad that the workers are more interested in paying themselves instead of honoring their loyal customers. I truly hope they see all of these reviews and learn a lesson that it's wrong to do this. If you go, be vigilant, as questions about your bill and ask to see an itemized receipt. This store has two locations. One in downtown Wheaton and the other is the first and original location in Winfield. Both are scrumptious! Todays visit was to the newer Wheaton store. Well staffed, clean, good service, full menu and great food! Today I had the County Farm Bagel Boat on a French Toast Bagel. The sandwich was awesome! So many ingredients I can't list them all. But it consists of several meats, cheese and a ton of veggies. It was sooooo good! I went around 1:00 PM and the bagel selection was poor. So go early for more variety! We stopped in at around 9am on a Tuesday morning and the place had people in it, but wasn't packed. There were also still plenty of bagels left which was a plus! It is a small shop and the employees seemed to know most customers by name (which I love!). I ordered a BEC on a pumpernickel bagel and my husband ordered the chocolate chip bagel. Bagels came out quickly and were delicious! I especially loved how much egg and cheese were on my sandwich. And if I am not mistaken, it was only about 5-6 dollars. I might have my frame of reference completely skewed because the last two bagels I've had were from NYC. These bagels couldn't compare to that tier of bagels. There was no bready aroma and they didn't taste that freshly baked. Definitely not bad - just your standard bagel. Single bagels are pretty expensive (~$5), but buying in batches seems worth the cost. I got a lox bagel and while the bagel itself was pretty average, the cream cheese was really good. I originally planned to go to the "place down the street", but found this gem instead...I'm so glad I did. This place is like an ice cream shop, but with bagels. The front display is full of the various cream cheese flavors they have (and there are many to choose from). I was not adventurous today, and opted for the wheat bagel with plain cream cheese, but I will definitely be back here. To top it off, the staff is fabulous and friendly.
