We were at Satori Studio when my husband's glucose (he's a diabetic) started dropping. I walked over to Shane's to find out they had recently closed. I asked the young man who came to the door where I could grab a couple bottles of apple juice, explaining the situation. He immediately invited me in and allowed me to purchase a couple bottles, explaining that he has a relative with diabetes and is familiar with the risks of dropping blood sugar. I am immensely grateful for his empathy and compassion. I wish I had gotten his name but whoever he is, he my profound gratitude. To the owners of Shane's, you have a keeper! read more

My first visit I enjoyed their beef (cold sandwich) and I substituted the cheddar for Swiss cheese. Not much of a hint from the horseradish sauce. The jalapeno chips have a nice kick to them. Friendly staff members. They seem to keep the dining room clean but didn't notice anyone spot cleaning after guests leave. The only bathroom is through the storage room and downstairs. A very good 4.5. Wish they would have a bit more beef and again some kick from the sauce. read more

Sandwiches are really good and fairly priced. I won't knock a star off for it, but requesting tips really bothers me. You're given options like 15% for 'good' and 25% for 'exceptional'. Thing is, this is a stand up order at the counter service. You spend one minute ordering. Why should you pay $7.50 to 12.50 extra on a $50 order? I know you can skip it, I did, but guilting someone into paying more, instead of the restaurant paying their people more, just feels wrong. read more

Shane's seems to have all of the tradition deli sandwiches. I tried an adult grilled cheese that was on special. Ham, Muenster and jam. The bread was very good quality. I also had the potato salad which was exactly how I like it--with a bit of mustard. They were moderately busy on a Monday at lunch and my service was quick for a made to order sandwich. I swung over to Shane's Deli for a lunch sandwich after realizing it has re-opened and I'm glad I did because they make a tasty sandwich! There isn't much to this place at all, in fact I think it looks like an old school donut shop. But don't judge a book by its cover! If you're like me you know the best food comes from the most unlikely places and Shane's is not the exception. This is a true no-frills sandwich shop that focuses on the food and that's it. When you enter you have really nowhere else to go but right up to the counter to order your meal. The menu, hung high behind the counter, provides guidance but the staff is helpful with answering any questions as well. I went with a classic Italian sub and man was it GOOD! The flavors and the combo of toppings was dynamite. I will say that I wish it was a bit larger, I tend to have a larger than normal appetite, but the price is such that I think I'll just pick up two next time. This is a solid place that makes we wish I worked more close by so I could get an opportunity to sample the whole menu. Oh well, looks like I have a lot of weekend runs in my future! read more

Really good classic deli sandwiches. Tried both the roast beef sandwich and the pollo pesto. Both were delicious! Very good quality meat, the beef was so tender. Generous portion of beef too! I absolutely loved the roll it was on too. Crusty but not too hard to bite into and chew. Also loved the pollo pesto. My grandkids chose this for lunch. Shane's has wonderful outside seating. The kids wanted grilled cheese which came with a juice pack and chips.I split a Rueben with my husband. It was lunchtime so there was a little wait but staff was nice and the kids started on their juice and chips so everyone was content. There are glasses for water if you do not drink pop. This place is an absolute joke. My wife and I went there with our little ones and ordered them each a grilled cheese. My wife and I each ordered a hot panini sandwich; for a total of 4 sandwiches for the entire order. It literally took 32 minutes for our food to be ready, and all the while we watched several groups of diners who ordered AFTER us get their food. By the time we got our sandwiches they were cold. Another lady who was there with her two kids also waited for over a half hour for two hot dogs and a turkey sandwich. Of course there is never anyone even slightly resembling a manager.
