I used to live really close to this location and stopped in all the time. It was a good location. Unfortunately on a recent, quiet random stop (was driving by & needed a bathroom) it wasn't what I would say is a good experience. The bathroom was. It clean. No soap in the depender and no paper towels to dry your hands with (no dryer either) Then I went to go get a bagel because I used their facilities (though flushing a toilet and using a few squares of TP, i'm not sure equals a $10 bagel & coffee) but I could not because at noon on a random weekday there was not a single bagel. Not one. So I ordered a chi latte with light ice which did not have not light ice and was basically milk with ice. Staff also wasn't very friendly. While I get that this is not a mom & pop local small town shop...it's a big box, national brand, having the product in which you sell, is you know, not exactly asking for the moon. I don't know what happened, maybe this was just a bad day but I won't be back to find out. read more

Needed to order bagels for a meeting. Wanted to choose bagels since wanted to have a good variety. Went into this location because it would not allow the order needed to be created online as online ordering was off during store hours. Employees were rude and passive aggressive and actually had a discussion with each other about how the order that was placed and paid for couldn't be custom. Proceeded to throw bagels in box and continued to complain about the order loudly. A Bakers Dozen is on their menu and a customer should not feel like they are inconveniencing restaurant staff for trying to order menu items! 0/5 out of stars would not recommend this location. read more

Growing up in New York City I didn't strategize about where I'd buy bagels. A) I like bagels but I never loooooooved them, and B) in NY most every bagel place tasted pretty much the same to me. Except in Monticello! So I move to Marietta GA and eww ... I've had some real clunkers. With my daughter and her new boyfriend coming home for the weekend, I wanted something decent. The best bagel I've had here is from Einstein's, so we schlepped to Smyrna to buy a dozen. (They give you a bakers dozen. Nice! Also a 10% discount if you're over sixty.) During COVID, the staff was masked as were the few patrons in the shop. People were respectful of social distancing. Normally I tell the person by the bagel bins what I want, and watch the bagels being pulled. I don't know if this is a pandemic measure or if the shop normally operates like this; you place your order with the cashier, and voila -- the bagels almost instantaneously appear boxed up. "Do you want them sliced?" the nice gal at the register asked when I placed the order. "Nope." Well don't you think when I got home, I saw that four were pre-sliced. (It compromises freshness.) And they gave me two garlic bagels. I didn't order garlic!!! So yeah, the bagels are okay. Again, better than other places. (I had one of the garlics for lunch.) But they don't hold a candle to Monticello! read more

I have been a regular customer of this Einstein Bagels location for the past two years, as it is the one most local to me. Unfortunately, it is the most frustrating Einstein Bagels location I have ever visited. My daughter eats a bagel almost every morning, so I pick up bagels just about every other week. I generally order a baker's dozen of plain bagels, sliced. Pretty easy, right? Not so much. Sometimes I get 12, sometimes 13. Sometimes they're sliced, sometimes not. Then there's the guy at the register who always seems confused. Oh, and heaven help me if I try to order two dozen bagels on a Monday with my app discount. Even though he's been there probably close to a year now, he still hasn't been able to figure this one out! Another thing about this location is the inconsistency of the bagels. Sometimes they are big, fluffy, and gorgeous, and other times they are small, dense and just not all that good. I'm talking a huge difference. When I bring them home I put the bagels into gallon ziplock bags. When they are big and fluffy, I can just barely zip the bag with 6 in there. When they are the dense hockey pucks I can easily fit 8 with room to spare. I wish this location would get their act together with their product and get their employees trained so they weren't so confused at the register, and inconsistent in getting the orders correct. read more

The good...the service here was awesome for it to be 7:15 in the good morning. The guy at the counter who took my order was so nice and patient with me while I looked over the menu to figure out what I wanted. It was very quiet inside and if I had a few extra minutes before I had to get to work, I probably would've sat down and pondered about how awesome my day was going to be. Okay. So I came here a few years ago and randomly had this berry smoothie that was absolutely delicious and for whatever reason decided hey let me stop on my way to work for a smoothie. Of course the universe was against me and they no longer had the berry smoothie but the kind young man taking my order recommended a strawberry banana smoothie so I was game to try it. Well, it was watery, not that great, and my dream of having a delicious smoothie definitely didn't come true that day. I also ended up orderding a blueberry bagel, toasted and buttered with cream cheese and that was pretty good so it wasn't a complete bust. (Before finishing the job with my own knife post photo.) The hash browns were not what I was expecting either. (Literal hash browns not buried in a ball of cornmeal or similar.) I'm not knocking the place at all, I just don't get it's appeal personally. If not for the sloppy preparation, I'd give it another try someday, but nah. Lines are long... very long... they move fast! They gave me the wrong receipt... they called out the name Mike, instead of my name.. when I asked about my order.. they said they called it for 15 minutes and was gonna reheat my food, instead of make me a new one. I'm not sure why, because they called the wrong name, they could just make a fresh one. The only reason they made me a new one, is because I overheard them saying to just reheat it. It's frustrating because I can't eat with my peers, I ate after them. When the food actually came out, it was good. No one offered it to me, when I told them why I ordered 6 onion bagels to begin with. Yes, I flaked on realizing it was Monday, but should that cause me to pay twice as much? I will return. No doubt. This is my favorite bagel place. I prefer to go to the locations with drive thru's. I'm here picking up bagels for a morning meeting. The customer service is great. They greeted me coming through the door. They have a sandwich menu, gourmet bagels and different coffees. My favorite bagels is the spinach Florentine. I've tried the chocolate turtle latte and the s'mores version. The have a variety of shmear (cream cheese) flavors. I like the smoked salmon and the garden vegetable. The have a cold case with fresh fruit and beverages. If you are looking for something different from the normal fast food breakfast try Einstein's. read more

So, they have a couple breakfast sandwiches and coffee on their entire menu. Its all they "do". I order 2 breakfast sandwiches, 1 for me and 1 for my wife, on the Internet and go in to picked them up. I arrive, as most Americans do in the morning, in a hurry only to have the guys say "we're out of this and we're out of that, so nothing got made, what would you like instead" So, I call my wife in to re-select and place an order. When they're done, (of course, not before, while I'm waiting for my order which would have made more sense), they hand me my 2 empty cups and point to where the coffee is. I go over and there are 4 coffee pump canisters, one with decaf, 1 with hazelnut, and 2 empty regular coffee dispensers. Frustrated, I made the comment to my wife, "they sell bagel sandwhiches and coffee, & they're out of bagels and they're out of coffee, but other than that everything's great". Some pissy little woman comes tearing around the corner pointing at the coffee canisters and barks "what are those, what are those...." at me. So I pop the handles on the top of both of them demonstrating that they're both empty, and the woman just about comes unglued. She starts slamming around making another pot and barking at me to give her the cups for her to fill, sarcastically muttering "so you don't have to wait a whole 5 minutes". Of course that doesn't take into account that I put in an online order because I was in a hurry and already had been in the store 20 minutes waiting for them to make what I had ordered online. I think she was upset cause her one goddam job is to keep the coffee pots full and that's apparently far too much for her. They had like 4 employees in the place, one not making bagels they dont have & 1 not making coffee, 1 washing something in the back and 1 whose job is apparently is to be snide to customers. I love Einstein's! Yes this is a chain. But the bagel variety is awesome, the bagels are big and doughy, and the cream cheeses are delicious! There are also many Sandwich options -- breakfast and lunch. I love the honey whole wheat with strawberry cream cheese as a classic option. But for a fancier option, I like the cheesy wakin bacon egg sandwich! During the fall, be sure to get the pumpkin bagel with pumpkin cream cheese!
