Crab-ocado Scrambler
Robert F.

I had high expectations walking into Eggs Up Grill in Austell, but unfortunately, this visit missed the mark on multiple levels. First impression: the place felt oddly empty. There were more staff members standing around than actual customers, which immediately set a strange tone. Looking at the menu, it felt more like something you'd find at IHOP rather than what I've experienced at the Eggs Up Grill on Jonesboro Rd in McDonough. That location has a more grounded, food-focused vibe, while this Austell spot leans heavily into a touristy, almost Disney-like feel--more style than substance. Strike two was the menu listing mimosas... yet I was told they don't even have a liquor license yet. That kind of disconnect doesn't inspire confidence. Then came the food--the final strike. I ordered the Crab-A-Cado scramble, which was described as eggs scrambled with bacon, spinach, red onion, avocado, and crab cakes. What arrived was completely different. Instead of a scramble, it looked like a carefully stacked experiment gone wrong. One lonely scrambled egg sat at the bottom, topped layer-by-layer with a few spinach leaves, diced onions, bits of bacon, a very small portion of avocado, and two tiny pieces of crab cake on top. To be clear, a scramble should have everything mixed together--not stacked like a breakfast Jenga tower. A more accurate name would be the "Crab-A-Cado stack." The whole dish honestly looked like it was assembled from an AI-generated recipe with no real-world execution in mind. Overall, between the atmosphere, menu inconsistencies, and disappointing food, this just wasn't the experience I was hoping for. One visit will likely be enough for me.

Had breakfast here for my birthday. Came on a weekday. It was busy and the servers were running around looking lost. Some exhausted from probably working more than others. To make it easy for me to be seated, I chose to sit at the bar area. I decided on my order. The wait was so so. When my food finally came out, it looked likea kid fixed it. It was thrown on the plate and the raisin toast was burnt. The. A one and sausage were hard. I did enjoy the potatoes, they were seasoned really good. I wanted to address it, but I knew it would still come out messed up if they took it back. I was not satisfied. I would give them another try though, like I said, they were extremely busy. It also looked as if they were short staffed. It's not that big inside, so most of the tables were occupied.

The Classic - scrambled eggs, sausage and sourdough bread and a side of fruit.

After a couple of months, we decided to come back to this establishment to see if they have improved since the first time we came here. I ordered The Classic and asked for scrambled eggs, sausage, sourdough bread, and fruit. I don't like grits or home fries, so I asked what the fruit was and the server said that it was mixed fruit such as berries, cantaloupe, melon, etc. I don't like any fruit from the melon group, such as papaya, cantaloupe, melon - yuck! She offered to give me just berries instead, score! Thank you, thank you, thank you! Not only was the server helpful, we actually enjoyed our breakfast! Now we will definitely come back in the future! Good job Eggs Up Grill, keep it up.

Pack your patience if you are here on the weekend. I've been here a few times. During the week when it isn't as busy, it's pleasant, food comes out within a reasonable time. On the weekends, there is a long wait for your food to actually get to you. There are a lot of to go orders happening at the same time as your order and dine in are not prioritized. We waited 45 minutes. For oatmeal. It has been sitting out. The eggs were cold with the over easy eggs. Bacon was like warm. Very disappointing. Thankfully they by charged us for the latte I drank. Waitress gave coupons and was the only redeeming part of the experience. Sad. I really liked this place.

We came in right before closing and was seated tight away. We tried two scramblers with home fries and biscuits. The food arrived very quickly and was hot. The food was seasoned well and did not require any condiments . Definitely a hidden gem and would come back.

Coastal crab cake Benedict and a buttermilk pancake.

This hidden gem was amazing from Start to finish! The service from everyone was impeccable especially my server Kiki! The atmosphere is very cute and fun, think comfortable farmhouse chic and now the important stuff... the food was amazing. I had the Coastal Crab Cakes ( think crab cake Benedict) with home fries and a buttermilk pancake. The superstar of this was the housemade hollandaise. The crab cakes were great, not much filler and amazing flavor. The homes fries were seasoned and grilled to perfection. Even the hot fresh coffee was delicious! The place was packed and they still were fast and friendly! Bonus: it's black-woman owned Do NOT miss Eggs Up Grill in Austell!

Avocado toast & "cheese eggs"

Placed my order online said would be ready at 1:03 walked in at 1:05 there was no welcome when I walked in, finally got help she asked my name went to check on my order comes back and says it's not ready but I can see my food sitting the moment I walked in. I finally asked another staff member she a walked up checked the screen noticed my order had not been bumped so it had been sitting the whole time I was there getting cold and soggy and the avocado started browning. Finally walked out at 1:17 and I asked for cheese in my eggs and there was none even after the waitress asked the cook if it was cheese in the eggs. I am so disappointed and dissatisfied by this being my first experience I took pictures of my food and will be leaving several reviews about my experience

"CHICKEN & WAFFLES"
Brandeis C.

Sigh. I had such high hopes for a breakfast place in my neighborhood. First, it's cold.. like uncomfortably cold. But I guess it's giving Waffle House vibes, idk. The first time I went I ordered pancakes .. they weren't done all the way through. The second time I ordered chicken and waffles and it should have been classified as waffles and nuggets. The service has always been good, no complaints there.

The line was pretty long when I arrived, but to my surprise it moved quickly, which was a good start. The young woman who took my order was friendly, relaxed, and very personable--definitely a bright spot in the experience. I ordered a White Chocolate Mocha for myself, while my son chose a White Chocolate Hot Chocolate. When our order arrived, though, the first hiccup appeared. My son's "hot" chocolate wasn't hot at all--it was cold... basically chocolate milk. I had to send it back so they could remake it. My mocha was decent, though very sweet--so sweet, in fact, that I found myself wondering if there was actually any coffee in it. Price-wise, it was reasonable. The total came to about $8 for both drinks, which felt fair. However, I noticed I wasn't given a receipt. There were also a couple of small service issues. The lid on my coffee wasn't secured properly, so it was spilling out of the cup when they handed it to me. I had to ask for it to be fixed and request napkins to clean up the spill. In the end, my son was happy once he received his properly made hot chocolate, and my drink was... okay. One final observation: the cups are extremely hot, yet they don't provide cup sleeves, which would definitely make handling the drinks more comfortable. Overall: Friendly service and a quick-moving line, but a few details--drink temperature, lids, and basic extras like sleeves and receipts--could really improve the experience.

He immediately fixed her order and she left. -I continued to wait, growing more frustrated -I finally spoke to the manager and asked if my order is being worked. -it was not, she asked my name, because the original cashier had not asked, -she directed someone to make my order -I was served with the specific item requested - I refused and requested refund of $3.87. -I was credited back to the AP $3.13 I WISH there were creditable competitors in the area who could give this business competition-they are taking their customers for granted!!!!
