It's good not great. Didn't meet the hype and price for me. First burger way too salty. Second burger barely any salt. Onion rings have this unexpected sweet nutty kinda flavor. Probably the beer used in the batter. Pork belly was kinda wilted and a little overly pig gamey for my taste. Meaning picture a stereotypical pig in your mind, that image as an essence of flavor. Are smash burgers always only crisped up on one side? Service was phenomenal. I don't regret trying it, but I won't be going back for 2nds. Really nice people though. Over the top service. Went around 5:20pm on a Sunday. Had to wait about 10 min to order and 30 min to get the food. We were able to get a table but lots of people appear order online and pickup so even though line inside wasn't bad, the kitchen looked very busy. I got a single and my husband got a double with fries and onion rings. It was hot and very good. My biggest suggestion is to work on the "patty to bun" ratio. I had alot of patty extending over the bun - not just alittle - alot! I did try to see if I could fold the meat in half and it fit the bun pretty well - but a messy process. So less smash or get bigger bun. (I would go with less smash). My husband's double had a similar issue but while I was working on my burger folding - I looked up and his burger was gone - devoured. :) Fries and onion rings were good. We did not find anything overly salty and asked for salt for our fries so they may have fixed that issue from previous commenters. People were very friendly and helpful. read more

WOW. Im not one typically to leave a review at any establishment. HOWEVER, I have been to eighty twenty 3 times in the last 5 days simply because it IS that good. I happened to see the new store front as I was driving through Westwood and it happened to be lunch time. I had never been into the pop up locations prior but had heard great things being that I am from the area. I decided to give it a shot.. I was greeted by the owner Matt with an extremely friendly demeanor alongside his staff. As soon as the tray containing a "double smasher" and an order of curley fries met my table, I knew these guys knew what they were doing. In 36 years I have never bit into a burger that was anything like this. Instant gratification. Matt had earned himself a "regular" customer before I even got halfway through the double smasher. Looked forward to a new burger place. But the problems here are many. 1. No pre-ordering: We had to wait on line for 40 minutes just to order 2. Food ready: we waited another 50 minutes for the food. 3. Greasy as all hell: All six burgers and fries were dipping with grease right thru the wrappers and bags. 4. Salt City: Everything was just too salty unless you want be petrified or elevate your blood pressure. I am definitely a fan of other burger joints that let you season the salt yourself which I always do add salt. Maybe I will call and ask if the burgers are pre-seasoned. My only complaint about this place is that it's not open all the time! Some of the best burgers I've ever had are from here. It is right down the street a brewery which doesn't serve food so you can head over to this place over the weekend and have yourself a time. As soon as me and my friend walked in it felt extremely welcoming. Service was amazing and we were checked up the whole time there. I got a double with everything and absolutely loved it. They brought us out a side of fries on the house too. I didn't get a picture of the burger or fries but when they brought out our cookies I had to get a photo. It felt as if your grandmother just cooked you a fresh batch of cookies. The atmosphere felt welcoming as well as the staff seemed to be enjoying themselves and everyone that walked in seemed to come around a lot. Woah. This place was amazing. I think we got lucky and came in when there was no line and waited only 10 mins after ordering for our food. Stopped in at about 9:00 pm on Saturday for a bite to eat with the kids. I ordered cheese burgers and 1 fry, it took about 15 minutes the burgers where on the small size but not too small. First time at Eighty Twenty and wow, I was so blown away. I couldn't find the place at first so the gentleman, Chris told me it's between two stores and he was already holding the door for us. Wow, such a sweet and kind man. Then we met Sean who rang up our orders and he was so informative, meticulous and kind. He told us in advanced it might be a 45 mins wait for our burgers and we were definitely okay with it. We were happy to wait and it was definitely worth the wait!!! We ordered the double cheeseburgers since Sean did warn us that their burgers are a little bigger than a slider but smaller than a burger. He was definitely right and we made it a double! Then he also suggested the hot dog and it was so delicious as well. We also ordered their crispy curly fries and onion rings. They were both so delicious as well! Probably should have written this review a long time ago especially since my family and I have been "regulars" for almost 2 years now. Have had everything on the menu (except the veggie option of course) and nothing disappoints. Always cooked to perfection, with customer service above and beyond expectation. And you should see this team cater a party. Had them cater a backyard event for over 50 people at my house. Had the food you get in Westwood plus chicken sandwiches, unbelievable wings and Mac & cheese that was to die for, and more. Was really hopeful for this spot cause Bergen could use a proper smash burger like 7th Street. Quality ingredients used but the execution wasn't there. Burger was cooked well but couldn't taste anything because the salt was overpowering. Shame Line was 40 min to order and they prepped the burgers in front of the folks waiting to order (a function of the rental kitchen) so you could see they were just figuring out the cooking and assembly process. My daughter in law just got a double Smashburger to go for me. Smash burger was okay but can't eat too many of these too often. Very greasy, top and bottom bun was completely soaked with grease but that's what makes it taste good I suppose. For me eating these too often at my age is like a heart attack waiting to happen. All in all it was okay, but not worth the money in my opinion. The Habit Burger Grill is still my favorite though, for $12 I get a double charburger with fries and a drink with free refills and I'm stuffed afterwards. The patties at the Habit are probably almost double the size, that's why it's more filling to me. Plus the Habit patties are grilled, not cooked on a flattop so they're not greasy. I'd have to eat at least 2 or 3 of these Smashburgers to get full, but to pay for 2 or 3 would be crazy. That would be $18 for 2 or $27 for 3 At least I got to try it to see what all the hype was about this place. This may be a good burger for some, but for me The Habit Burger Grill will still be my No. 1 go to place for a burger. read more
