This is a great new Smashburger place right in Hasbrouck Heights. The burgers were crispy, thin juicy full of flavor and top tie with whatever toppings you want. They have a huge menu to choose from. They even have chicken tenders and rice bowls for a leaner choice. Plenty of seating really nice staff really fresh and delicious.

Single burger, looks are deceiving, this was delicious

Updating with way better pictures, because this place is delicious and deserves better then what I previously posted.

    Chopped burger

Just another burger place. Nothing special. Similar to smash burger. Service extremely slow with ok burgers. Not a place i would recommend.

Great food and really good service as well. We had the Swiss burger, triple burger and Hawaiian which were perfectly juicy and so good! We also tried the loaded Mac bowl with chicken, fries and Mac and cheese which was our absolute favorite! Definitely recommend!!

Great vanilla shake! Lots of good ingredients BUT much too greasy for our palate. Take out packing could be better too.

I've heard comparisons between Marty's patties and those of Five Guys, and I can see why. They're fresh rather than frozen, and they're thin enough to approximate a smashed burger with those occasional bits of char while still maintaining enough heft that you can taste the beef. Their build-your-own burger menus are also similar, with plenty of free toppings to choose from. But I would argue that Marty's offers a fuller range of toppings from diverse cheese options to more premium ones like fried eggs, bacon, and avocado. I tried two of their signature burgers, and while the Swiss mushroom dijon was a hit with my husband (he pointed out the visible mustard seeds in the dijon sauce), the bacon avocado was the clear winner in my book. It not only had bacon that was texturally perfect (crispy and densely packed atop the patty), but also picture-ready slices of avocado. For that to come out of a fast food restaurant kitchen within a matter of minutes? Color me impressed. The banana pudding is dynamite. I'm usually neither a fan of banana nor puddings because those things combined just sound like mush. But here, the pudding is more of a whipped, airy texture, and I believe it when the lid says 'made fresh' because there were chunks of banana nestled in every bite. I admit it might not be much to look at, but I was hooked after a single spoonful (I'm actually greedily scraping the bottom of the container as I type this review). The restaurant has a diminutive dining space (I counted four two-tops at most), but it feels super cozy and casual. I took my food to go and found nothing had deteriorated - in flavor, temperature, or texture - during my drive home because everything is well packaged. There's paid street parking available, but this area of Hackensack is pretty dense so you might have to circle around for a bit before finding a spot.

I tried the Double Cheeseburger, Mushroom Burger, Truffle Parmesan fries, and Poutine. Everything was great. The patties on the burgers were cooked perfectly and were flavorful. Everything in the burgers added something and I never felt like they were doing too much. The fries were nice and I enjoyed them both but I think I liked the Truffle Parmesan more--I'm a sucker for all things truffle. The poutine was surprisingly good too though. I wish the gravy were a little thicker but it was hot enough that it caused the cheese curds to get nice and melty. I'll definitely be back to try some of their other offerings.

This specific deal was not advertised throughout the store, but I discovered it while searching the in-store menu kiosk. This prix fixe deal includes the following menu items: 1/2 BBQ Grilled Chicken Sandwich: The sandwich was piled with multiple toppings and serve in toasted sour dough bread. Although this was only a half a sandwich, it was still fulfilling for a standard lunch. Tempura Green Beans: If you are looking for a twist on french fries, this is the perfect pick! In lieu of potato, string beans are cooked in crispy tempura batter. It is a win-win if to have them plain or with a dipping sauce of your choice. Fountain Drink: Wash your meal down with a beverage of your choice ranging from Pepsi products, iced tea, or limeade. If you are feeling thirsty, free refills are an option. The Gotta Habit meal deal is the perfect portion if you are looking to have lunch without feeling overly full. It will definitely hold you over until dinnertime. If you are looking to vary your choice, an $8 and $10 special is also available. #thehabit #gottahabitmealdeal #gottahabit #bbqchickensandwich #tempuragreenbeans #$6gottahabitmealdeal

The place is narrow (I missed it both times I came here) but it's got a look and vibe happening... music cranking, album covers splattered all over the place. The menu is narrow (burgers and chicken and shakes) and they know what the heck they're doing... chicken is juicy and delicious, burgers are smashed and crispy and packed with flavor. (The shakes look amazing, but that's not my thing.) The staff - could not be any cooler. Pricing and portions - all more than fair. Parking - not that fair. If they were a wee bit closer to where I live I'm sure we'd frequent them way more often. (Just don't rat me out to my cardiologist who would not approve, I'm sure.)

The burgers were good but kind of pricey for what it was, especially since they were kind of small. It came out to almost $25 for the two burgers, and that doesn't even include fries. But it could also be because prices are usually jacked up in delivery apps. If that is the case, I wouldn't mind going in person and trying another burger hot off the grill, next time with some fries.
