We were greeted and seated immediately. I've visited twice. Highly recommend one of the ceviches. Great tang and fresh. This time we did fish bites as the appetizer. Perfectly seasoned pieces of deliciously fried basa. Served with a side of onions marinated with cilantro and citrus; gave a delicious bite. My dining partner ordered the paella. The seafood was perfectly cooked and flavored. Crab, shrimp, conch, octopus, squid with creamy cheese. Served with a side of shrimp ceviche in onions and cilantro. It t was savory and she didn't want to leave a bite. She described it as one of the best she has had. I ordered the tacu tacu with steak and the smokiness of the creamy rice and beans under that seasoned skirt steak just burst on my tongue. Steak was moist and gave a good chew. Generous portions make each platter excellent for family style. Absolutely recommend Blaze on Fire for savory meal.

While the presentation was beautiful, the dish itself tasted average. The flavors were unique, but overall it felt like something was missing. The service was very friendly and the restaurant itself located near many restaurants and shops.

I've heard great things about this place from a friend, and it did not disappoint! I decided to go…read morefor the 53rd STREET BOWL, which features signature pulled chicken, brown rice, a mix of kale and romaine, pickled red onions, cucumbers, chives, and a drizzle of white sauce. It was delicious! The pulled chicken was flavorful, and the pickled onions and cucumbers added a perfect crunch and zest that complemented the brown rice and kale beautifully. I chose to order directly from the staff instead of using the kiosks since it was my first visit, and I'm glad I did! They were incredibly friendly and helpful, even wiping down the outdoor tables for me. The prices are pretty standard for a fast-casual spot.

My husband and I stopped into Brine because we'd never seen one before. This is apparently one of…read moretwo locations, with the other being in New York City. Their tag line of "Eat Juicy Chicken" compelled us in. Unfortunately, our first time was a bit of a flop. First, the positives. Placing your order is a cinch, either with one of many kiosks or with the folks at the counter. We opted for the latter since it was our first visit and we were paying with cash. Service at the counter was warm and friendly. While waiting for our meal, we also took notice of the wide array of pumps by the drink dispenser. They're all free sauces you can get to dress up your meal. But that was precisely where things kind of went meh. My husband's boneless breast meal was heavily sauced and rendered the whole thing a little too salty. My chicken Caesar salad was just fine, but I craved more texture (some croutons would've killed). I keep comparing our ho-hum experience to others who've raved about their meals here, and I think our mistake was two-fold: 1) We didn't order a chicken sandwich. I should've known better - when most of the signature items on a menu gravitate toward one type of item, it's a restaurant's way of hinting at their strengths. Opting to order a salad and a grilled chicken at a fried chicken place was a bad start. Learn from my mistakes. 2) We paired a saucy chicken with saucy sides. All three items in my husband's order - the meat, the Brussel sprouts, and the potatoes - were generously drizzled with a sauce. It's no wonder our taste buds breathed a sigh of relief whenever we had a bite of undressed crinkle cut fries; we were assaulting our mouths with salt and flavor. If you're a saucy person, have at it ; otherwise, I'd recommend creating a more balanced plate and ordering a few things without sauce so you can appreciate the cooking. Because in my heart of hearts, I believe items are well-prepared here; they're just doused in too much covering to be appreciated.

THE GOOD ----------------…read more+ Solid Korean Fried Chicken. Was it the best I ever had? No. But it was pretty good still. ++++ Kalbi Chicken and Soy Garlic Fried Chicken were good. A bit too saucy for my liking for Korean Fried Chicken, but had good flavor to them. ++++ Don Katsu was also pretty good - very crispy pork cutlet and it came with a soup, cole slaw and white rice. + It's tight around the entrance and cashier, but there are a few decent size tables inside the dining area to the left. + The entire staff were suppppper friendly to our family and the service was excellent. THE NOT SO GOOD ---------------------------- - The private parking lot is a bit tight as there are only 3 parking spaces for the restaurant. They were big, moist inside and had perfect crispy layer mixed with the Galbi sauce. Will be getting more wings from them for sure.
