I cannot express how thankful I am to Eilers Electric. I have used them twice before. They came out last Thursday, because the GFCI in the garage had tripped, and would not reset . Since the GFCI was probably at least 30 years old, it was replaced with a new one at a fair price. It worked fine for about a day and then went out. So I messaged for another appointment and they were able to come out today. After courteously working for quite a long time trying to find out what the problem was, it was discovered that a jug of water was leaking over a power surge protector and causing the short. I highly recommend them and will contact them over and over for future projects. read more

I had put off getting lights around our yard for a few months. We have 2 acres, and at night and unless the moon is especially bright, it's PITCH DARK in our yard. The biggest issue we had, was that we were getting married back there in just a couple weeks. They came out and knocked it out in 2 days! Totally rocked the house. They ran outlets along 5 of our trees and hooked them up to a switch on our house so we could plug in Christmas lights, and then on some of our other trees they installed uplights to highlight them. Killer job!! There must have been a solid 250-300 feet worth of trench digging to do, but they got it done in just 2 days and saved my butt so my to-be wife didn't kill me for waiting so long!! I don't usually take the time to write reviews on Yelp, but these guys were so good that I felt like I owed them this. Brandon and Robin installed two driveway lights for me today and they did an amazing job. They are very professional and very customer focused. What I appreciated most was that they actually installed the light fixtures for me! I paid them to do the electrical wiring only, and I was planning on installing the fixtures myself. However, once the electric wires were in place, Brandon and Robin insisted on installing the fixtures for me at no extra charge! The take away: Very professional and honest electricians. Not sure these guys need ANOTHER 5-star review (I think you get the point that Ehlers Electric is the way to go) but just couldn't help myself!!! Brandon was at my home yesterday to check out a problem we were having with the power line supplying "juice" to our pool and landscape lighting. My husband is usually pretty good with this stuff, but when he tried fixing it and sparks flew out he decided we needed to call in the "big guns". Called Brandon on Tuesday and we made an appointment for Wednesday afternoon. Shortly before he arrived on Wednesday he texted me to let me know he was on his way. Brandon and his assistant quickly figured out the problem, fixed it, made a few other minor revisions to make things fit and work better, handed me a very reasonable bill, and were on their way in about an hour. Amazing! A contractor who answers his phone, arrives on time, fixes the problem, cleans up his work area, AND is reasonable? Plus...he (and his associate) are also very, very nice - professional, friendly, and helpful. These dudes are awesome. After calling almost a dozen different electricians, these guys offered the best over the phone quote. They arrived on time and expertly installed 5 ceiling fans and a chandelier (a last minute request). They made every attempt to minimize cutting through drywall with the ceiling fan installation. Brandon and Robin finished installing a bathroom exhaust fan for me in my master bathroom today. My husband and I were dealing with moisture issues in this bathroom for a year or so and this fan project was long due. For some retarded reason, the steam just wouldn't go out through the window but instead, drifted into our master bedroom even with the bathroom door closed causing it to smell like a locker/shower room (not mold, we don't have mold or a leak...specifically it was a shower steam/locker room smell from all that moisture anytime a long shower was taken). It was difficult finding an electrician in the area willing to do the job. I must have left 15 messages to different electricians. 1 electrician with reputable reviews in Escondido kept flaking and rescheduling...a bad sign. I called these guys and they answered the phone and were able to put me on the schedule (though I waited 2 weeks since they were busy which was fine with me). And to my surprise, they actually showed up and didn't flake...I almost thought they weren't going to show up since they came during the later part of their 9-10 am window. I was nervous to get the job done with them because they only had 1-2 reviews?? I don't get why they have such little reviews because they did awesome work for me and clearly knew what they were doing. This bathroom exhaust fan required a dedicated 20 Amp circuit as there was no existing wiring in the bathroom. I had an adjacent gable in the attic that made it easy to duct the exhaust out to so they didn't need to do extra work going through the side of my condo. They showed up around 10 am to do the job, did a quick 30 min shopping trip to get my 6 in duct work and a switch panel, then finished the job at 1 pm. These guys are brothers so they were able to tag team the work to get stuff done efficiently. This job involved going through my attic, installing duct work out to my gable, installing the bath fan in the ceiling, and wiring in the attic, subpanel, and bathroom switches. They also accommodated my request to use smooth (not the flexible) 6 in duct to use since according to the reviews on the bath fan I bought, it would help with condensation and keep the noise down. The smooth duct is more difficult to install than the flexible duct but I was okay paying them extra in labor. I feel that the total price they charged me for this project was more than fair and I am hoping this review doesn't give them too much more business as I want to be sure they will be there anytime I wish to have more electrical work done (yeah, I'm selfish on this). I just finished a long hot shower in this master bathroom and I have no more condensation on my mirrors or window sill. Also, no more shower/steam smell in the master bedroom either...YAy! We hired Ehlers Electric to prewire our kitchen for under cabinet lighting and then install the lights once the cabinets and backsplash had been installed. When we removed our old cabinets, we discovered hidden outlets, flexible electrical wires that ran through the ceiling and under cabinets, all of which were fire hazards or were not up to electrical code. Brandon came out and came up with great solutions for fixing the faulty wiring and brought everything up to current code standards. Brandon picked out the under cabinets lights and we absolutely love them. The cost of the entire job was very reasonable. Two words - On. Point. I had estimates from several other companies - none of them were bad, but just couldn't get me going. I spoke with Robin briefly and he gave me an rough estimate and said he could make it out in a few hours. They arrived when they said they would, we talked about what I wanted and these dudes got started. It was perfect timing all around. We needed our newly remodeled/flipped home to get wired for cable/internet and these guys came in and handled business. Unfortunately, they uncovered some shoddy work from the previous contractors. They were available to answer any questions I had about what they found and even spoke with my Realtor about the find. The pricing after all had been said and done was more than I expected, though I wouldn't say it wasn't worth it. I had been going back and forth with Ehlers Electric with different questions about several electric needs my home needed. They always responded and gave me prices up front. The big item we needed done was have our new 65" television mounted and an outlet placed up on the wall so we did not have any ugly wires exposed. When they showed up they were friendly and made sure I was ok with where the TV was being mounted. Once they had finished mounting it they double checked with me to make sure I was satisfied. I was and I asked them about different outlets that needed to be replaced. They immediately got to work and replaced the outlets and also fixed a power outage in the house. They also fixed the hallway switches that refused to work together. They did not try to hustle me and stuck with their original bid on the project and even saved me some money. I will definitely use them again soon, probably to hide the wires from our other mounted television. All the guys at Ehler's Electric did a great job with multiple electrical projects at my house. They did a TV mounting along with a soundbar that required a lot of new wiring and outlets to have it come out perfect. There were some other items I needed done such as motion detector switches and changing out all the outlets in the kitchen for a new backsplash. A few weeks prior they also replaced three light fixtures and a ceiling fan for me. They were on time, professional, had reasonable prices and are very trustworthy. I had received a quote from a large electrical firm that was three times as much and am very pleased I decided to call Ehler's based on their location and the reviews on here.
