We found Generation Builders in Burlingame and couldn't be happier with the entire experience. Leonardo had our trust as soon as we met him. He was able to help us visualize the big picture from the start. He's not just a general contractor but in so many ways a designer. My wife and I were unsure of exactly what we wanted on a few details. He's very decisive and always led us in the right direction. Unexpected things can come up in the process. He always thought of a cost effective way to work through it. A smart, creative man. Our house was built in 1978 and we did nothing to it since we bought it in 2002. It was time for a full remodel! You would expect the work to to require at least 6 months. The entire structure was finished in a little more than 3 months! Workers were arrived by 7:45 every weekday morning working diligently (and politely!) all day. No issues with materials coming on time. Generation Builders is an accurate name for the company because they do it all and to me this is the way to go. No worries about disputes between subcontractors regarding one being delayed which causes the next to be delayed, etc. Those variables are eliminated with Generation Builders. The buck always stops with them. The work performed was outstanding. Our house is beautiful. Wonderful quality at a really good value. Ecstatic with what basically has become a new home. Leonardo, Deborah and the entire family at the core of Generation Builders are stars. Incredibly efficient, great communicators, punctual, always there. Anytime we called or texted (sometimes after hours) the call was answered, text or call returned immediately. Absolutely quality people who we consider friends at this point. From demolition to final inspection it took just over two weeks, which exceeded my expectations. The subcontractors they used were professional, clean, and speedy. They left the place looking good. I wouldn't hesitate to use Masterful Construction again, but I probably would work harder to make sure I have chemistry with the designer, who I never gelled with. My understanding is she isn't working with them any longer anyway. That said, the bathroom looks great in the end. Masterful Construction aren't the budget option to remodel, but the process was painless and quick, and at the end of the day, that's exactly what I need.

After taking measurements he sat down with me for over an hour patiently answering all of my questions. This was my first time considering a major remodel and he was great at anticipating where I would need guidance. He also showed me various completed projects in his portfolio and I was so impressed with the quality of his work. I could tell that he really takes pride in his team and his craftsmanship. Doron was able to provide me with an initial quote on the same day as our consultation. I ended up with further questions and changes, and he graciously set up a zoom call with me to address them the following day. Out of all the contractors that I spoke with, Doron stuck out for being the most passionate about his work and also the most detail oriented. Their team did a great job with both rooms and the price was reasonable. They even did a lot of extra little jobs for me for no extra cost, like replacing some of our old outlets with modern outlets with USB-C ports, and helping me fix a ceiling light. They also hauled away some of our junk after we moved in since they were already hauling away construction material. Everyone on their team were nice, polite, and professional. If you are particular about your plans I would definitely check in on their work to make sure they are doing it how you want. I had to ask them to start over when they made the grout lines on the shower thicker than I wanted. Even then, they were happy to change it to how I wanted it, but it did add some extra time to the completion date. I did my homework: I inspected his work at a similar job site, gathered bids from four different contractors, and interviewed each one personally. Liran stood out because he was easy to communicate with, honest, and highly organized. The Financials His bid was middle-of-the-road--neither the cheapest nor the most expensive. However, the value was in the transparency. We had zero hidden fees or unexpected change orders by the end of the project, which is rare in this industry. The Reality Check No massive project is perfect. In our case, there was a permit oversight where the fire sprinkler consultant wasn't called in early enough. Because they were backed up, our project was delayed by three months. What sets Liran apart is his accountability: he admitted the mistake and paid our rent for those three months to make it right. Room for Improvement The only area for growth is in the hand-off for final touch-ups. Information didn't always flow perfectly from Liran and his foreman to the subcontractors doing the finishing work, meaning some tasks had to be redone once or twice. It didn't cost me money, but it did cost some time. The Verdict This is an honest look at LB Construction. Despite the minor hurdles, Liran's integrity is top-tier.
