A few days ago I noticed that on one of our faucets, if I closed the hot water side too fast there was a little bit of a rattle under the house. I thought I could handle it myself after asking Perplexity what it could be and installed a water arrestor. That didn't help so I thought, maybe it could be the strapping. I reached out to Handy Plumbing Man on a Saturday and they were quick to respond that they could have someone there on Monday. Monday morning came and their technician, Miguel, went down and found that one of the pipes they had worked on wasn't totally secured. No problem, mistakes happen. He said he'd call the office to get technicians over to check the strapping on the work below. I had to go into work but did get a message from them later on that day to see if they could get someone over the same day (Monday) to fix it. This is more on me that I had already gone into work, but they said they could do tomorrow morning at 8am. The guys, Carlos and Baltazar, came bright and early, went under the house and secured the pipe and then some. Awesome company!

Then they text me a picture of a plumber and a little bio of the him. It's reassuring knowing who's coming into your house. When Ross arrived, on time, in uniform and clean. (Maybe I was the first stop.) I knew cause of the bio text and picture that the company sent was very helpful. Ross was polite and courteous to our house and slipped on some shoe cover which I very much appreciated. I told him our issues with the faucet and which problem started after water shut off in our complex . With a couple toggles at the faucet lever he had an idea what was wrong. I had a gut feeling it was an easy job but let's let the professional figure it out. Which he did. After the water shut off a lot of debris came out and clogged up the faucet spout filters. Ross removed all the debris and cleaned it out. Lo and behold we have more water pressure!!! He told me he wasn't going to charge me because of how easy of a fix it was. I was extremely thankful and embarrassed at the same time now knowing how easy that job was. Nonetheless, thank you Ross and Bell Plumbing you guys are a prime example of a company with a high standards!

This summer we were redoing our bathroom and the pipe needed repair. Danny Jimenez came out to spec the work the day I called, documenting the job and explaining everything in both English and Spanish for both his team and mine. Glen Cruz came to do the prep work and pipe liner extension which was done quickly and cleanly. The cost was a fraction of what other plumbers quoted. My pipe goes through the center of my house and other plumbers wanted to dig up my floors or my garden. 10/10 for Bell Plumbing. My pipe is working great, and my house is still intact.

However, when I was a kid, my dad would take me with him to the hardware store, and I would get a lollypop while he and whomever from behind the counter would wander around looking for an eyebolt or the right shade of caulk. Giulio- who I assume is the owner, is easily 10 years older than my mom, who lives in the assisted living up the street. My mom can't be bothered to go to the chair yoga we're paying for, but Giulio went to work. He's not totally mobile, but he knows his s#!t. Whenever I come in, he or whoever else is behind the counter is happy to chat through my issue and suggest something. It's not a Home Depot- so they may not have what you're looking for every time- but they have a lot of things, and it makes me happy to know my money is staying local. Also, side story: One day during the summer, it's like 90, and I am behind a contractor who's getting a bunch of stuff - lumber, rocks...I don't know- but he's paying for it, and he grabs some water bottles for him and his crew and puts them on the counter. Giulio totals him up and says a number; the guy says, "Oh, don't forget these waters". Giulio says, "The town where I come from in Italy has the best water in the world, and it flows right off the mountain. If my father knew I was charging people for water, he'd come back from the dead and strike me down. Those are free." C'mon. How can you not go here first?

We purchased a home that needed renovations from removing walls to open it up, remodeling the kitchen and bathrooms, all new electrical and plumbing, etc.. It was a big job! After interviewing several different companies and getting quotes we picked JR Home Remodeling. They won use over with their initial introduction. They are courteous, listen to what you have to say, give clear responses and clarifications to my questions and they also ask their own questions. I felt comfortable and secure in that our remodel would get done. They are a full service company that doesn't have to higher out. Their team can do it all! Their pricing is far and should something pop up they give you options. The job was completed on time and their work was well done. If something didn't meet my expectations it was fixed right away. Jackson is a very professional and respectful person. We were having a difficult time finding the right company and we just felt that we were almost at our last but Jackson was very diligent and understanding. We were left with the last minute task of removing junk that would have otherwise cost $500. Jr came to our rescue at a reasonable price. As a result, we weren't penalized. read more

Slavic was highly knowledgeable and patiently answered every question we had. He handled all the construction materials while we supplied the finishes, and everything integrated seamlessly. His crew reinforced the structure before drywall went up, and we were able to witness every step. They sanded the drywall perfectly smooth before painting, with edges blending flawlessly. Attention to detail was outstanding--even the power outlet screws are aligned uniformly in the same direction! Beyond the main scope, he quickly fixed several small unrelated issues around the house (like a few doors that wouldn't shut properly, some power outlets/breakers, and a sagging fence) without any extra fuss or added costs. The finished bathrooms look amazing--top-notch workmanship with no visible seams, sloppy edges, or shortcuts. Communication was excellent throughout; Slavic updated us regularly and was always easy to reach. They renovated the lower floor of…read moreour house, and even though the project was only about 1,000 sq ft, it involved some pretty major plumbing, mechanical, electrical and structural upgrades. Along the way, we found out our old sewer system did not pass inspection, so Victor also helped coordinate a full main sewer line replacement. That turned into a complicated job because of the existing and new underground pipes and structures, but he handled it well and kept things moving. The team also did a great job dealing with the different Daly City inspections. I especially appreciated that Victor was not afraid to ask questions or challenge comments when something seemed unclear, while still keeping the project on track and looking out for the owner's perspective. Throughout the construction, the crew was patient, reliable, and punctual. We could hear our garage door open at 8 a.m. every morning and knew they were there and ready to work! Thank you again!

At the time, I was 32 weeks pregnant and hoping to have the remodel completed before our baby arrived. Azeen came over, listened carefully to our needs, and patiently discussed all the details with us. Our project was a like-for-like bathroom remodel, and Calibuilder's quote was competitive compared to other companies we considered. Knowing that our neighbors also had a great experience gave us confidence in choosing them. Throughout the project, we had a group chat with Azeen, where we documented all the finer details to ensure nothing was missed. This was incredibly helpful in keeping everyone aligned as the project progressed. Azeen also recommended a few stores for finishes and tiles--we went with Porcelanosa and are very happy with the final result. She prioritized our project, which we really appreciated given the baby could arrive any day. While there were a few things that initially didn't turn out the way we had hoped, calibuilder was responsive and came back to address and fix them. If you're particular about the small details, like we are, we recommend clearly communicating them upfront and documenting everything. Also, be sure to discuss any potential additional costs for smaller tasks that may not be included in the original quote to avoid surprises later. Overall, we're very satisfied with how our bathroom turned out.

This turned out to be a very detailed and complicated project with many moving parts. We ripped out the entire old bathroom including walls, ceiling, the floor, and redid everything from scratch. We also repositioned the bathtub, vanity, and redid the entire plumbing system. The project manager, Azeen was very responsive, involved and caring. Along the way, Azeen was always available to answer any of our project/progress related questions, to address our concerns, and to discuss next steps. Azeen jumped at resolving any issues, and she also helped with finished product selection, provided her advice and guidance on design. It was a pleasure to work with her. Despite some bumps, and challenges, which alway come up with any construction project, overall we are very happy that we've selected CaliBuilder for this project and we are fully satisfied with our new beautiful bathroom. One note - we've realized that the project success does not only depend on the professional and detail-oriented project manager but also on the skill and attention to detail of the workmen. Initially we had someone who did not seem to be as focused and often produced results below expectation, but then the new crew was amazing! We highly recommend this team!
