TL:DR; Will misled us into paying upfront for much of the work that he either didn't complete at all or did poorly/not up to code. When confronted, he agreed to give us our money back but has failed to make the full payment after 9 months. He also forged our signature to pull permits because he doesn't hold a license himself. We hired Will (aka Wisal) in October 2024 for a fairly large home project, and it was an absolute nightmare. The ordeal he put us through was an extremely emotionally taxing experience for our family. On top of that, he had not honored the refund agreement for the poor and incomplete work. We are now out of the money he still owes us, and we had to find another contractor to correct the terrible work he and his "team" did. Here were the main issues that led us to fire him from our project: 1. Forged Signature: We discovered that Will pulled permits under my name without permission by forging my signature on the paperwork, which he initially told us was pulled under his company's name. 2. Suspicious Electrical Work: Before the scheduled electrical inspection, Will had his team patch up the walls, which would make it impossible to inspect the wires. We found this suspicious, so we asked 4 separate electricians to take a look. Without being able to see behind the walls, they all saw that the work was not up to code. 3. Unnecessary Electrical Upgrade: We told Will we only wanted to rewire the house and to pull the permits. He told us we're required to upgrade our electrical panel. This caused a 3-month delay as we waited for PG&E to do the work. When PG&E responded to us, they told us we actually didn't need the upgrade. We suspect this was Will's attempt to charge us for unnecessary work. 4. Pressured To Pay Upfront: He pressured us to pay upfront for fees associated with the PG&E work (e.g. trenching fees, paving fees, etc). In California, you only need to make a downpayment of up to 10% or $1000 of the total contract price, whichever is less 5. Overpaid PG&E Fees: Will charged us $3,500 for PG&E's engineering advance. We asked PG&E about the charge and were told it was only $2,500. 6. Inconsistent Team: His "team" changed all the time. Will also did not seem to know when his team would work on our house. It was only when we checked and saw that either minimal or no work was done that he would then call his team to ask why they didn't show up. 7. Constant Delays: Will would promise us work would be done by a certain time (e.g. end of the week), but those deadlines were rarely met. For example, he told us the week of February 18th that interior painting and tiling work would be completed by the end of the week. By the time we fired him on the last week of March, that work was still not done. 8. Unprofessional Work: For basic jobs like painting, his team did not cover our floors. We now have paint splatters, scratches, and drywall residue all over our floors and cabinets. After all these issues, we fired Will and demanded a refund, which he agreed to pay on a 7-week schedule. That was back in April of 2025. It's January 2026, and he still has yet to pay us back fully. Do yourself a favor and avoid this company at all costs. P.S. If none of the above points convince you to stay away from this business, run some of the 5-star reviews through an AI detector. Many of them won't pass. Ah, the joys of homeownership. You think you're just fixing a little leak, and next thing you know, you're starring in your own personal horror story--except instead of ghosts, it's a scammy contractor, a roof full of holes, and a rapidly draining bank account. Let me take you back to December 2024. After some heavy rains, we noticed a leak in our living room. Enter Will of Biohazmat (license #957784), who came in like a savior in a time of disaster. We were in a bit of a time crunch, planning to leave for a three-week holiday trip, and let's be real--it does rain in SF in December. Will assured us he'd take care of everything. Roof? Fixed. Ceiling? Restored. Peace of mind? Oh, how naive I was. Red Flag #1: The Mysterious Bathroom Leak One of the first things Will did was open up the ceiling--toward the upstairs bathroom. Now, I had explained, multiple times, that the leak happened after rain. Yes, there had been a small issue last winter, but it was clearly a rain-related problem. Still, Will was on a fishing expedition, hoping to uncover a more "profitable" issue. He eventually convinced me the entire roof needed replacing. I wasn't entirely sure, but hey, the roof was old. Maybe it was time? Spoiler: It was not time. It was a terrible decision. Red Flag #2: The Roofer Who Hates His Job The very next day, a roofer showed up to apply a temporary patch. He was barely inside when he launched into a rant about how Will had been delaying his payments for weeks and how he was planning to quit and work on his own. Now, a contractor's own workers bad-mouthing him before work even starts? That's a neon sign flashing "run" in bright red letters. But between holiday prep and wishful thinking, I convinced myself it would be fine. It was not fine. Red Flag #3: The Disappearing Act We left for the holidays. Will started work in January. I had set up cameras to monitor progress. It was a different roofer - I guess the first one has already quit. Three days before we returned, Will declared the job was done and demanded full payment. I got a few blurry, low-resolution pictures (classic), but on my cameras, I could still see workers moving around. Assuming they were just wrapping up (bad assumption), I wired the money. Terrible. Idea. The Disaster Unfolds Upon returning, I did what any responsible homeowner would do--I climbed up to inspect the work. Oh. My. God. Where do I even begin? Even without being a roofing expert, I could tell this was a train wreck. There were literal holes in my brand-new roof. You know, the thing meant to keep water out. I had a contractor neighbor take a look. Then, I brought in a few proper roofers. They all independently painted the same picture: total incompetence. Some highlights from my roof's tragic new look: The roofing material wasn't properly heat-sealed, meaning large sections could be peeled off by hand. Other parts were over-torched, melting the material and making it brittle. The seals around pipes? Instead of using proper metal flashings and sealants (as is standard), they smeared on some mystery black goo. Around chimneys and walls, instead of applying material properly, they just stuck it on without capping--essentially creating pockets for water collection. Drainage system? Not sealed at all. As if they just assumed water would avoid those spots out of respect. At this point, my frustration had reached Olympic levels. Red Flag #4: Will's "Fix" Was Even Worse I confronted Will, who eventually agreed to send someone to "fix" things. Enter Victor Hernandez, a supposed "partner" of Will's. I asked if he was licensed. Will assured me he was. Victor assured me he was. Fast forward through some back and forth, Victor himself admitted the roof was beyond repair (shocker). So, naturally, Will's solution was... to have Victor re-roof it. Because clearly, the guy whose company just butchered my roof was the right person for a do-over. When I asked what system they'd be using, it was total confusion. They claimed they'd heat-glue the roof but showed me materials meant for cold application. These guys didn't even understand the product they were using. So I asked for Victor's credentials. Nothing. No response. So I did my own digging. Guess what? Victor's license (#1071828) was suspended. He had no roofing license. His general contractor license was revoked due to a lawsuit. I confronted Will. After some discussion, he agreed to pay me back and part ways. Guess what? That didn't happen either as of now. And Then It Got Even Worse... It's been four weeks since that agreement. I'm still owed $9000. No payments. And just when I thought it couldn't get worse--it got worse. Before I had the chance to redo the roof, one of the drainages (the ones they didn't bother to seal) leaked and flooded my baby's room. So let's recap: Replaced a roof that probably didn't need replacing. Got scammed out of $9000. Ended up with more damage than when I started. Flooded my kid's room. read more

Will and Biohazmat Solutions are absolutely fantastic. Highly recommend. I reached out to Will because we'd been smelling a strong mold smell in our hallway since the last big rainstorm, and since we didn't see any water spots or leaks, we assumed something might be in the walls. I was particularly concerned because I work near that area of the house and had been sick for a month, plus have a kiddo with asthma whose bedroom is nearby. Will responded to my request on Yelp right away and let me know he'd be happy to come take a look at it in just a few days. He was super easy to communicate with via text (my preference since I'm always on calls) and on top of that he had a good sense of humor. He followed up when he said he would, and he arrived a few minutes early! Once here, we had a laugh because the smell had vanished after a few crazy warm days and our landlord replacing a rusty vent/pipe leading up to the roof. Still, he took the time to check for signs of water damage and explained a lot about the science of mold, which was super helpful to understand. He gave us recommendations about what to have our landlord look into, how the approach would differ for a renter vs a home-owner and what to expect if we called in one of the mold-inspection companies. He let us know he did have a roofer he could call should we want to take a peek under the roof just to be safe but his take was the now-repaired pipe was the likely culprit. Whew! Ultimately, Will gave me peace of mind, a plan of attack, and taught me a lot! Plus he saved me/my landlord a ton of time and money. Cannot recommend enough! My wife and I were having issues with our apartment who flooded our bathroom with an unknown chemical. Will showed up early the morning after our initial call, was able to determine the problem, and provided us an estimate. He was extremely thoughtful and took the time to explain each step he and his team would do to clean our bathroom. My wife and I also have a few cats, and typically we're nervous about leaving them with strangers, but his team was conscientious about our animals, ensuring they would be in a room where it was safe for them throughout their visit. Not only were they reliable and knowledgeable about everything around the house, but they also demonstrated superior craftsmanship and execution in all aspects of home renovation. It started with a leaking door frame that they fixed, and then we asked them to help with our bathroom remodels, fixing and replacing the knob-and-tube wiring, and even painting and retiling the backsplash in our kitchen with Heath Ceramic tiles. Will will tell you that the project finished within a few days but it turns out it's going to be a quarter project. Will is always trying to find the cheapest contractors in the bay area. They perform substandard quality. Whats even worse their contractors will directly contact you for their payment. What a big win. He just got the money for a consultation and talking to people without doing anything, and the contractor is still asking the customer the contractors payment even though they will claim this is all inclusive finally don't pay for your advance. His pricing is fair and was more cost effective than any other quotes by almost half for the exact same job. He also did not upcharge for small addons to the scope of work. He went beyond what was expected and loaned us free of charge equipment that he left even when the job was complete to ensure that we were comfortable and satisfied with the outcome of the project. Couldn't recommend Will & Biohazmat Solutions enough! If I could rate 10/5 stars, I would. Will was a complete life saver, and I can't thank him enough for his thoroughness, responsiveness, and knowledge! We run a multi-unit rental property in SF, and noticed some black mold/mildew on the ceiling of one of our rental properties. I called Will out there to get a quote to remove the mold. He identified that this was a larger issue and there was likely a leak in my roof. Rather than me reaching out to many different providers/vendors to identify the leak, replace the roof, cut out the drywall, dry the walls, apply anti-mold, and put sheet rock back up, Will essentially served as my General Contractor for this entire project. He leveraged his network to find a roofer, and replace my roof. A few days later we had a massive storm in SF, and all three of my rental units were flooding with water. I frantically called Will and he came out right away. He sourced an electrician, and emergency roofer (I called several other companies and due to the storm no one was able to make it out for us). They applied a temporary fix, realizing the leak was coming from another location. Will later worked with me on a several week-long project which included applying a permanent fix to the roof, identifying moisture in all three units, demo'ing the walls, drying them, applying anti-mold, putting sheet rock back up. Will did not have to do all of this, but he was sooo incredibly helpful in sourcing all of the vendors for us. He is responsive, trustworthy, and was incredibly considerate to my tenants. I provided him access to my house, he spoke with my tenants directly, he would respond within seconds, and was very understanding about a variety of things. He was very thorough, and even after the major project was fixed, he would stop by to make minor improvements to seal cracks, remove trash, move my tenants furniture back into her room etc. Will totally went above and beyond and did more than I ever could ask for, essentially being a general contractor for my project. He did not need to do this since it is technically outside of his trade. We work with several contractors and tradesmen in the bay area due to our rental units, and Will is the best I've ever worked with. Absolutely phenomenal service! I would recommend Will and this company to anyone in a heartbeat. I had a bit of a unique situation, that was a bit outside what this company normally does, but they had the expertise I needed and the kind willingness and professionalism to help me out for a very fair price. I found them through Yelp and was skeptical when I saw they had zero reviews. But communication with Will was easy, professional, and zero red-flags, so I decided to give them a chance. He mentioned they normally work contracts with city governments, so I'm assuming that explains their minimal public/Yelp presence. I'm a renter, and we had a mouse infestation inside our gas range and laundry machines (among other things). Our landlords are out of town and simply told me to hire someone to deal with the situation and they'll cover the cost, and they also didn't have any suggestions for who I should hire. Finding someone with expertise in both hazardous rodent waste and large home appliances was surprisingly difficult, but Will came to the rescue! They automatically took their shoes off before entering my home, and I really felt like they treated everything as if it was their home, or the home of a family member. They also very clearly knew what they we're doing and they did it well!! I even learned a few things about how our stove functions. They partially disassembled our appliances, used chemical sanitizers, a HEPA-filtered vacuum, and thoroughly documented everything so I can share it with my landlords. The main project of mold remediation was taken care of, BUT the finer touches were lacking - poor communication - not returning phone calls and finally being ghosted; not following up on details that require immediate attention; what was suppose to be a 2-3 week project, turns out to be 2 plus months - it dragged on and on until I just gave up on the last few items that were supposed to be done, but not; every single project that needs attention requires different sets of "tradesmen" - some were skilled, while others were just so-so. Totally bad coordination and time management - initially friendly and agreed to do things, but never followed through in the end. Will and his team are fantastic. I reached out on the weekend regarding water pooling in our crawl space. He stopped by that afternoon to inspect. I'd already had professionals for the furnace, a plumber and a roof specialist inspect for the water source. None of them could determine the source of the water. It took Will just a couple days to determine the source and provide a solution. He was methodical and explained everything so clearly and patiently from start to finish. The water was coming from condensation in our furnace stack (original with the house and from materials not used anymore) and the water had accumulated enough to do damage in our daughter's closet wall and floor (with some mold), where the stack went through to the roof. Will's team came in and cleaned everything up, replaced the stack, closet floor and repaired the closet wall. He inspected the crawl space beams to ensure integrity. He tested to ensure that there was not an additional water source and he guaranteed the work. I'm so grateful to have found BioHazmat and appreciate everything they did to solve our unusual problem. When you need the services that Biohazmat Solutions provide, you need them badly, you probably need them very soon, and you need good professional advice. Good humor is a comfort, too. Will and Biohazmat Solutions did a superlative job the day after I called them, not only removing biological matter from the carpet but making all uncovered areas of the carpet look and smell as fresh as on move-in day and not only sanitizing the bathroom but leaving the sink, tub, toilet, and mirrors gleamingly clean, and as a bonus, turning the entryway and kitchen floors from blackened with dirt to mostly white, all this while working in extremely cramped conditions with little free floor space and returning everything they moved back to its original location. My friend who had the health crisis will be surprised and delighted when he comes home, and so will his visiting friends. Strongly recommend.
