We were looking for a Reuben fix. Fortunately, the menu sides had changed, and we could order fries and fried okra! Yaay! We wanted good balance of meat kraut and swiss. The sandwiches did not disappoint on meat! The marble rye toast was perfect. The kraut was underwhelming as was presence of swiss. The fries were steak-cut and a little soggy. The okra however was perfect! Hopefully having this sandwich dine-in is better, we ordered take out, since the line to dine in was too long. There is nothing but good about that. Some people want to get sloshed with mimosas first thing in the morning. I don't know about you - but I like to do things with my day. Lolling around, staggering from place to place and p**sing off your mimosas is a waste of a good day. There is a reason I drink coffee or energy drinks for breakfast. Snooze wants to get you plowed. 2) Eggsquisite is not about giving you a 3500 calorie breakfast. I don't know about you - but I like to do things with my day. Lying on the sofa and groaning because I have just eaten 3500 calories is a waste of a good day. There is a reason I eat normal sized plates at breakfast. Snooze wants to build the tab by piling gratuitous calories sky high on your plate. * * * Sure, Eggsquisite has Benedicts in a variety of forms. It also has sweet breakfast entrees. But portion sizes are reasonable ... and there is a large selection of plain sensible functional breakfasts. I had the biscuits and gravy with two eggs. That is a big breakfast by objective standards - but it is the Dieter's Delite at Snooze. My wife had salmon toast. We both had coffee. The regular drip was fine. My decadent touch was putting in a single packet of French Vanilla Half and Half. We were good to go for the rest of the day. I could drive on I-35 without either falling asleep or being pulled over for a breathalyzer test. Falling asleep on I-35 in Dallas is not a recommended strategy for bed rest Unless you are fond of the very thin mattresses in Dallas County Jail. read more

I came in before 12:00 today and as I was enjoying my lunch near the kitchen I overheard the manager with a snake tattoo on his hand say out loud to a server with a cross necklace, I need to take a GOD DAMN piss. Then ran off to the restroom. I could tell him saying that visibly shook up the guy server. It's sad really. He was running a round the whole time positive smiling and being loving to everyone plus he also was running the expo getting all the food out. 10/10 for the sever 1/10 for the manager. The food was kind of bland and over hyped. It's over priced for no reason. It's also very small and crowded.

My dad and I came on Saturday around 12:30 PM and got seated quickly. It was pretty full so if you have a big party I recommend calling ahead. EXCELLENT service, I wish I caught the name of our server because she was absolutely amazing. I've never been so politely "yes ma'am"'d in my life and I appreciated it. When I asked for hot sauce she asked which one, and then said she could bring all of them and I was delighted! The menus looked a little worse for wear, which I found funny. No big deal as we knew what we wanted from looking at the menu online anyways. The food itself was good. My dad's breakfast burrito was delicious and he got a side salad along with it. I ordered the chicken fried steak and honestly it didn't have too much flavor - it was as if they'd forgotten to season it, or at least salt it. My dad's side of ranch for his salad helped a bit and the texture was great at least. Also, just fyi they use cream gravy and not sausage gravy for their chicken fried steak (I asked as I saw sausage gravy for their biscuits and gravy dish). They have fruit OR berries as a side so I got both. I picked up a raspberry and noticed it had mold so I didn't end up eating the berries. I saw a bunch of people at the front of the restaurant that dissuaded me from going in. My husband told me to go ask them how long it will be to seat two people. The girl there said 20 minutes and maybe less. So we waited. Waited past 20 min and then I clicked on the website and saw we were 10th in line seating would take 40 minutes. I don't like being lied to... We went up to the counter and said why is the wait time double what was quoted to us. She didn't even apologize. She said she can't predict how long it is going to take. This visit was my second. I came on a weekday and this was my first visit on the weekend. I met the manager or owner during my first visit as he was visiting tables to check-in. He was a very nice gentleman. This hidden jewel is a must for food lovers especially those who LOVE breakfast foods. The omelettes and hash browns here have FLAVOR. It's beyond the regular taste of potatoes and eggs you typically get from most restaurants. Now if you get your eggs scrambled, you will taste your typical egg. You will have to taste for yourself to understand. There are a lot of options to sooth your hunger. The coffee brand is awesome and there is freshly squeezed orange juice available upon request. This place is HOPPIN on a Sunday afternoon (1pm) but we were seated as soon as we walked in and I already have a warm cup of coffee in my hands. Hubs and I are both going for veggie omelets, and he's got a berry yogurt bowl coming, too. DELICIOUS! Definitely a must try in Rockwall, TX. I've had this spot saved for almost a year now and my partner and I finally stopped by. We came on New Years Day and there was a bit of a wait. The hostess was sweet but she seemed a bit overwhelmed with the rush, which is okay she handled everything very well. We met the manager Gasper (pronounced Yasper like Casper the ghost lol) he was super sweet and amazing. I can't remember our servers name but she did an okay job. I ordered the crab cake benedict. Delicious but I wish there was a little more of a crunchy element or bite to the meal. He got the traditional breakfast: eggs, bacon and pancakes (cinnamon toast pancakes). His pancakes were waaaayyyy to sweet for me but perfect for him. The food came out super quick like 7-10 minutes after we ordered it quick. But I mean it is breakfast lol.
