My favorite breakfast foods when I eat out are omlettes and pancakes. I tried an omlette the first time I went there, and it was horrible. I love this place!!! Every time I go, I try something new and it's delicious! Some of my favorite items are the Banana/Nutella crepes, North shore yogurt, Burger w/avocado and sweet potato fries, Chocolate pancakes and my absolute favorite the Chicken salad sandwich. By the way... Orange juice is freshly squeezed! The staff is very friendly, and service is prompt. I've never had to ask for something twice when I was there. Went here for the first time this morning. The bacon is greasy but delicious and the Eggs Benedict are tasty with some nice spices to differentiate them from others in the area. The hash browns are especially good making for a solid overall breakfast. The waitress was very friendly and accommodating and the outdoor seating at this establishment make it one of the only breakfast places I know of in the Highland park, Deerfield, Highwood area with this option. read more

Pretty darn good! Doesn't have quite the atmosphere of Walker Bros, the other good breakfast place in the area, but pretty good. They really deserve no stars , I have been here several times and have enjoyed it but this past Sunday for Mother's Day was horrible !!!! From the limited menu to my chicken sandwich dry to my server forgetting about our table . We placed our order 4 dishes in total with a smoothie . Within a reasonable time food came nothing spectacular but food . I waited on my smoothie kept asking the waiter several times , once we all finished our meals and asked for the bill the waiter finally came with my smoothie , I refused to pay for it . Seeing that it was been seating out since it was watered and melting . Food was on point. Unfortunately, my friends and I had a horrible experience. Server collected our credit cards for payment of our bill, he brought them, to the host/ front desk per him and left them for the Manager/Owner(?) to run them. Only 2 cards were returned to our table. We, immediately, asked where the 3rd card was at which point, the server that brought out our cards, returned inside to, presumably, get the 3rd card. We waited 10 minutes, nobody came to our table, nobody came to explain what happened, nothing. We got up and went inside to retrieve the cards and finish up with the bill. Manager/Owner rolled his eyes at us, was incredibly rude and pushed us aside to ring up another customer. He tried blaming my friend as if she lost her own card, yet, the server told him that he indeed left the 3 cards for the host desk to ring up. When we asked if there was a camera that may have captured who took the card, Mgr got mad and said this had never happened and nobody in this area would steal a card. Well, he continued his rudeness, we insisted he take my friend's number in case anyone returned the card. Two days later, the restaurant never called, never followed up. Sure enough, the person that was given/stole my friend's card went and rang up groceries at Heinan's. My friend cxld her card and had to go through that psin of a process all because this restaurant was not responsible in handling our bill and her credit card. We demanded they cover our brunch bill after losing her card, not taking responsibility and for being so rude. Had they handled it with concern and kindness, we would have never insisted on it. So far I've only had their corn beef hash and berry smoothie and I like them both. They use real chunks of corn beef for the hash which is so very tasty. They also have fresh orange juice. Five star but they are a little pricy. read more

Disgusted by this place. I ate here for lunch a few weeks ago. There was no toilet paper in any stall and no soap. The hostess appeared to not be surprised when I told her this. I sent a message online directly to management about my experience as well as called and left a message for the owner to call me back. I have received no responses. Very disappointing. read more

This restaurant is a RIP OFF! I would go there and get a coffee "to go" every Sunday and each time I paid 1.50. Then on Sunday they charged me $2.19 for an 8oz to go cup... I said to the manager that it wasn't right and I always paid a $1.50 and I even showed him my bank account with the multiple charges of $1.50 at eggsperience for each Sunday. He just looked and me and said that they never charge that price for a "to go" coffee. But he knew very well that he would see me each Sunday get my coffee to go. As a manager he did not handle my situation well and wasn't flexible about fixing it in a way a good manager would treat their customers... he just gave attitude and said, "What do you want? 50 cents back or something?" So when he said it like that I knew I wasn't coming back again. I know that this issue might seem small but I feel like a customer that is not how a manager should handle an issue. Side note- I've also gone there for breakfast with family and friends once and they did not like the food there and how pricey it was. Very disappointed in the food since we had a great experience downtown location. We went a couple days before Xmas around 10:30 for a brunch before road trip. The food was cold, every order seemed over cooked and slightly burned. My sons bacon looked liked it was overzapped in the microwave, my husbands Denver omelette was cold and burned on the outside, and my ham was cold and not tasty at all. I remain consistently disappointed in the service at Eggsperience. On a day where it was 4 degrees outside, the restaurant's heat was set to 65 degrees (I checked). Additionally, our party was left waiting for 15 minutes after being seated without anyone coming by to say hello or take our drink order. We actually watched the server assigned to our area standing around and chatting with other staff members. On our way out, we said something to the hostess who didn't seem bothered by our complaint. I have been here twice and both were horrible customer service experiences. The first was to celebrate a birthday and we called ahead to confirm they have GF pancakes which was the birthday girl's request. When we arrived and promptly ordered them we were told they had changed their menu for the day (it was a holiday) and they weren't serving GF pancakes. We persuaded them to at least make French toast from GF bread and the waitress said she would sub them in the French toast full meal which included eggs and sides - at no extra charge due to their mistake when we called ahead. Upon getting the bill we were shocked to see that not only had a $15 upcharge been added for the sub but an additional $25 on top of that because they charged each side ala carte instead of the meal deal price. The waitress said the manager wanted it charged that way. We argued with the manager for awhile and he ended up removing only $3 from the bill rather than the extra $40 in charges. He offered no apology for the wrong information given us on the phone despite us traveling here just to have the GF pancakes and basically said he didn't care if we didn't come back because he had plenty of business without us. After writing about this experience on a Google review it was removed just a few days later. Since then I have learned of multiple other people who had a horrible experience there, wrote reviews and also had them removed. Apparently their higher rating on Google is because the manager can remove negative reviews! I would take more stock in the Yelp reviews which show multiple negative experiences like we had. The second time we thought we should give it one more try during COVID with the focus on supporting restaurants; we thought maybe he was just having a bad day on our previous experience so ordered carry out for Mother's Day. Upon arriving at the time we were told, our order hadn't even been started yet and there were many angry customers outside waiting for their orders. I get that all restaurants are adjusting to new Covid guidelines and having all carryout business but what upset me so much this time was that none of the servers were wearing masks. I spoke with the same manager (don't think he remembered me from before) and shared my concern about no masks and asked if the cooks were wearing them. He said it was too hard on his employees to ask them to wear a mask when they were so busy and packed into that area (the irony is that's even more reason to wear them!). I reminded him of the mask mandate and he said it wasn't being enforced. I cancelled my order for concern out of the safety of eating our food and he refused to refund it. For a local business asking people to help them stay in business during a pandemic he certainly doesn't seem to care about the customers who are the ones helping him out! read more

We really like this place and go to breakfast there just about once a week. The staff are friendly and accommodating. We've never had to wait very long and we have always enjoyed the food. Portions are generous, we usually end up taking home half to enjoy a second breakfast the next day. They're good about substituting fruit for potatoes etc. and have menu items to suit special diet requests. We especially like the egg white omelets, their sausage is very good and they have fresh squeezed orange juice. Great sweet potato fries and a decent burger. The outside seating is nice and the inside seats are very comfortable. No parking problems ever. The ambiance is o.k., not fancy but clean and bright. Reasonable prices, our breakfast....for example an omelet with sides of ham or sausage, fruit, coffee, and pancakes ....usually comes to below or around $35 for two. We're picking up during the corona shutdown and it's been ready within about 15 to 20 minutes of our calling in the order, delivered to our car. read more

Got the egg white omelette there that I usually get at the Eggsperience in Glenview. It was flat, ugly, and burnt. I pointed this out to the server who said sorry but did nothing. My daughter and I removed really dark outer skin and ate the interior. I should have complained more but we were on a time schedule and needed food. I got a order to go she gave me military discount with no issues; perfect experience 5 stars. I loved it so much i returned the next day. Today their was a different person a man he was very short with me, and when I asked him did they give military discounts he said no. Not that I really care it's just the principal of the matter. I took my son for a special day with mom and had a horrible experience. The waiter was extremely rude to us from the moment he came to our table. We asked for water without lemon in it because my 10 year old is sensitive to citrus and the waiter slammed our glasses down on the table and rolled his eyes at us. He then stormed off and came back with the same water minus lemons, but with seeds and pulp floating in it. Our food was not great. Our last two visits to Eggsperience have been disappointing marked by slow service, order problems, and inconsistent quality. Historically this has been one of our favorite breakfast and brunch spots so not sure what has changed. While waiting to pay the customer in front of me told the manager of the slow service they experienced which met with complete indifference. I shared with the same manager that our experience with the service was similar and that our order came out wrong. There was little interest to address or even acknowledge the issue. Previous 2 times here have been nice however we will not be going back. Twice today plates were removed from our table while we were still dining. The first time, we were still eating our toast and fruit. The server literally took my toast plate while I was reaching for the toast. The second time, we were still drinking our coffee. I went to the ladies' room and returned to find a bus person had removed our coffee, our juice and our water while my companion was still seated there. We had planned to stay and finish our coffee. Management apologized but didn't seem to care. Even if the place was crowded (which it wasn't - the place was only about half occupied), tables should not be cleared while diners are still seated at them. This is so rude - and unhealthy. We absolutely will not be returning. If management cares so little about how its customers are treated, it doesn't need or want our business. Perhaps that explains why this breakfast restaurant was only half filled on what should be a busy Sunday morning. read more

If you are ever in the area, I highly recommend you check this place out! The service is always friendly and on point. They have a great selection of healthy meals but also offer choices that will indulge your sweet tooth. My all time favorite dish is the Eleni's egg white delight omelette with hash browns, instead of a side of fruit, and a short stack of pancakes (which you can always upgrade, to try their specialty pancakes which is a must!). Horrible service! A waitress arrived when I first sat down, but then she disappeared. I went to pour water from the picture on the table and it was black stuff floating in it. My guess arrived and we were talking and all the waitressed passed us by and didn't even offer to assist or take our orders, etc. I finally flagged down a waitress and asked her to replace the water and take our order as we were on lunch and needed to order. She had an annoyed look on her face and reluctantly came back with what I assume was a clean picture of water then she took our orders. Shortly thereafter she dropped off our orders and was never seen again. I had leftovers and no one was there to request a box to take the rest home. I took my plate up front to the host and asked him to wrap up the leftover sandwich. He went to the back and was talking to our original waitress for at least 5 minutes while he wrapped my leftovers. I wasn't sure what he was doing so I didn't eat the leftover sandwich. I ended up throwing it away! I want my money back because the staff seems to be clearly more concerned about socially amongst themselves rather than assisting customers. As a result I left the waitress NO TIP! She didn't deserve one for being so lazy and uncourteous to the customers. I PAID $12 AND I WANT MY MONEY BACK IT WAS SO BAD!! SO NOT WORTH IT!! Eggsperience has long been a favorite of mine for their egg white omelette. It's a friendly place in the morning. Lunch today at noon was a totally different story. They were busy, the attitude of the person behind the cash register was curt almost to the point of being rude. I asked for a turkey burger with avocado and cheese and sweet potato fries. I took one or two bites of the sandwich, it was smoked turkey and tasted terrible. I decided to eat the sweet potato fries, they were cold and had a weird taste. This place was very busy when we came for breakfast back during the summer. It showed because we ordered our drinks (coffee and some latte thing.) Another girl came over to take our food order. 10 minutes go by and no drinks so we stop the waitress and she said someone else is bringing them out. Always tasty dining experience for both breakfast and lunch. Chicken salad wrap is delicious as is their chopped salad loaded with fruit, vegetables, cheese and chicken breast. Friendly, efficient staff. Only complaint is the noise level. Extremely tall ceilings accentuate voices and noise so much so that you don't care to linger if the place is really bustling and crowded. I love to review breakfast places. It's by far my favorite meal of the day, when I get a chance to enjoy it. But, on a Sunday, it's a family tradition to go out for morning brunch. I've frequented this establishment often, and I had the opportunity to have breakfast and lunch. They are both excellent. Eggs Benedict is hands down the best in town.
