Love the farm to table concept and their menu is very special. Love both Breakfast in Piedmont (polenta) and Creole Breakfast that we got! Well come back again soon :)

We came to Everett Farms for a birthday celebration. The place has a small dining area inside, and an outdoor patio as well. Ambiance and decòr was good and I liked the vibe of the place. During the time we were there, they sat us outside. Unfortunately, there is a Metra train line right outside, which may not be a big deal as the metra doesn't come too often, but on this day, the Amtrak train came quite often and for some reason there was construction on the train line, so it was very noisy and unpleasants so we had to relocate inside. Our server was attentive and pleasant, and got all our orders, correct. I got the grilled chicken sandwich minus the pesto sauce and it was decent. Everyone else unfortunately didn't like their meal, with comments of too salty, or just not good. When they gave us our food, which came out Quickly, the person who placed my plate ended up, spilling water all over me, as the plate tipped over a glass. That was yet not a fun experience. We also ordered dessert, I got the crème brûlée and it was actually pretty good. We did waitat least 15 minutes to even get our bill, which for me at least, you should never be waiting to pay. We all agreed that this place was so-so, but it wasn't worth the drive. Probably wouldn't come back here again. BATHROOM REVIEW: Located near the front entrance, the men's bathroom consisted of a urinal and toilet. I always wondered whether I should lock the door, since there's both urinal and toilet. But I figured you want privacy when you're using the toilet, so I locked the door behind me. Everything wasn't working order and seems somewhat clean. There was definitely some rust spots on the urinal that was not fun to look at while you pee. Sit or squat? Squat.

Great restaurant! Located near the Lake Forest metra. Makes for convenient place for a nice dinner after work. The service is spot on. Very attentive. The food is excellent. The drink menu is massive. They have something for everyone. We liked everything we ordered. We plan on returning many more times to try their other items.

It was a scorcher outside but cool inside Everett Farms. We didn't have a reservation but were able to be seated. My crispy cod was great, lightly fried with crispy potato wedges. We finished with a delicious key lime pie.

I recently visited Everrett Farms with my coworkers for dinner and the experience was good. We were a large party so I called them in advance to reserve a spot for 10 people. We ordered a lot of appetizers and drinks for the table. We ordered a hummus spread with pita bread, mushroom croquettes and cheese curds for shareable. The hummus spread was really good, cheese curds were a bit too greasy and mushroom croquettes probably had more potatoes than mushrooms so that was a bummer. For drinks I tried a mezcal drink and it was pretty good, the sour taste in it was overpowering the bitter taste of Mezcal which was good. I ordered a Zucchini noodles main course for myself and it was good. It had a lot of mushrooms so I was satisfied. My coworkers ordered steak, potato and mushroom leak, chicken breast, and penne as well and they all liked the food. For deserts, my coworkers ordered creme brûlées and apple tart and they were quite delighted with how it turned out! Overall, Everett Farms is a good spot to get dinner and drinks. Our server was also very friendly and patient while dealing with so many guests.

biscuits and gravy ($4 for gravy side and $3 for biscuit, as of 02/25) and it a great rendition of that midwestern breakfast classic.

When I went up to put my name on the list, the man writing names down was extremely rude to me and my family. The man at the front also made multiple microaggressive comments toward us, which made the experience uncomfortable from the start. The food, in my opinion, was also subpar. I ordered two eggs with bacon, potatoes, and pancakes. The eggs and potatoes were good, but the pancakes tasted strange, and the bacon tasted old and honestly pretty disgusting. My sister ordered the "Factory French Toast," and she said it literally tasted like something that came straight from a factory. My mom ordered the meat omelet and said it was just okay. When it was time to pay, we asked for the check to be split three ways. When we received the bill, we noticed they had charged us an additional fee just for splitting it. On top of that, while we were waiting in line to pay, the employee clearly saw us standing there, yet allowed another man to cut in front of us. There was also a confusing moment when my sister accidentally dropped a few things, including her card and my mom's card. Someone at the front helped pick them up, but then tried to pay using whichever card he had in his hand with a random receipt. My sister had to politely correct him. Overall, the service felt disorganized and disrespectful, and the food did not make up for it. Unfortunately, this was a really disappointing experience for my family.

I've never been the girl who created vision boards for how her wedding would look so I spoke to Annie about the vision in my head and the specific flowers I wanted in my bouquet. After she showed me multiple photos of previous work and other photos of what I was describing we landed on the perfect look. The vision board that Annie created for me was just a vision board of the look and I knew that it wasn't exactly going to look like the photo, but very similar to it. After my first meeting with Annie I knew this was the spot and fully trusted everything was going to be perfect. The whole process from the first meeting to finalizing the details was super easy and delivery was prompt and on time. As soon as I saw those bouquets and boutonnières I was speechless and blown away with how they looked - exactly what I pictured. Annie and her team are truly talented. I'll be adding photos from the photographer once I get them, but I'm attaching the few I have so far. Edit: Honestly the photos don't begin do do these florals justice! :)

About a week or so before the event, we were given three options to select from for the menu we would be preparing, so we ended up with pasta. Taste Buds Kitchen is located in a mall, so I had some difficulty locating it, but finally saw it. We were split into teams of four and the meal we were prepping was fettuccini, spinach/ricotta ravioli and a marinara sauce. Our instructor was Lauren and she was very nice. There were two ladies assisting her as well, responsible for the clean-up and helping with the prep work. Lauren was great explaining all the steps as well as showing up the prep moves. I love fresh pasta but never thought about making it (and still won't do it at home), but I had no idea how easy it could be with the right tools. Making the dough was fun and interesting, with each of us taking turns kneading the dough in preparation to make the fettuccini and the spinach/ricotta ravioli. Making the fettuccini was such fun and so easy if you have the proper equipment. I really enjoyed putting the dough into the pasta roller to flatten it, then into the cutting attachment to make the pasta. We each got turns going through the process, so I can say that all of us made the pasta and sauce. The spinach/ricotta ravioli and a marinara sauce were also very easy to make. Marinara I have made at home before, but the recipe we used at Taste Buds added a twist by adding shredded carrots for sweetness. Not something I would have thought of, but it really worked. Making the spinach/ricotta ravioli was a hoot. The very first one was a hot mess, but I learned and moved on to make perfect restaurant quality looking ones (IMO). Because we did a morning 2-hour session, tea, water and lemonade were provided for us. What we prepared was delicious and a nice early lunch. Because Lauren and her crew had made dough in advance, there was plenty of pasta for eating and to take home. My only complaint (if there is one) is I would have loved that we had made more of the marinara because it was so good and I would have loved to have taken more home. Overall this was a wonderful experience and the staff was amazing, cleaning up behind us, setting the table, cooking the pasta and ravioli for us. I think this is something I would consider for my direct reports as a team building event.

I visited Midtown before as a prospective member so I know that guests can only enter a limited number of times. It wasn't a large brunch but we had some made-to-order omelets, bacon/sausage and fruit. There was also some potatoes and pastry. When I sat down to eat I received a text from Midtown about a membership. The brunch was bottomless although one omelet was enough for me. I also had two emails from Midtown when I got home, one a waiver of liability and the other a membership offer. I didn't join as a member on my previous visit and I am not going to join now. I already have a Pilates membership that includes three studios with classes from 6am-8pm. Midtown has a Pilates studio but none of the class times work for me. They also have some reformers in the middle of the cardio area reserved for private lessons. If I have a private lesson I would prefer to be in a secluded area, not in the middle for all to see. The facility has many machines, a boxing area, a cycling studio, a theatre, a spa, a cafe, courts, pool, etc and this is a great place for those who need this. There are families who spend the morning at lessons, classes, workouts, then join up in the cafe. This is great for those who are looking for this but it doesn't fit my needs right now.
