They have a full bar and a very extensive menu filled with delicious breakfast foods that's served all day. Never fear because other lunch and early dinner foods are offered later in the day, if you're not a big breakfast person. I ordered the chicken and waffles for my meal and it was scrumptious! Very filling and prepared perfectly well! An 18% gratuity will automatically be charged to your bill, but you can speak to the manager if you don't think it's warranted. OMFG epic brunch spot. The Gambrills location is a must try Sunday Funday brunch spot. We loved the punk rock decor in the way back seating area--totally our vibe. Though the restaurant gets VERY busy, staff is able to keep themselves cool and collected. Everyone was kind and pleasant. Food was on-point. SO GOOD. I thought this would be a nice spot for brunch with my god daughter. We were sat in a dark corner that looked like no one dusted or cleaned by the windows. There was no wait and several wait staff standing around and talking quietly. However, it took too long to have our orders taken. After waiting about 15 minutes I got up and walked to the front. They sent someone over who said she would take our drink orders but not the food. Eggspectation's is well worth the wait for bunch. We went on a Saturday and had to wait about 30 minutes to get a table which wasn't terrible for brunch. I got the All-America breakfast which comes with a large portion of food while my wife got the Shrimp & Grits. We enjoy coming here because the service is great, not overly loud and is kid friendly. The best advice I could give is to get the PITCHER. They have a great variety of Mimosas but if you are trying to get the best deal buy the pitcher. read more

This location is brand new to the Gambrills area, but I feel like it's going to eventually be one of, if not the best breakfast spots in the area. Keeping in mind that I visited this location within 3 weeks of it opening, it definitely had some room for improvement, but I was not totally going to write this place off before they can even get the doors opened good. My server was training another server when we visited, which I thought was weird because the trainer was forgetful and we never received a few items both food and drinks that we ordered. The trainee must've missed it also, which is more understandable but it still sucked for us. The food that we did get was really good, though my juice sat at the bar for an extended period of time and got to my table at almost room temperature. The shrimp and grits was good, but it only had about 4 pieces of shrimp and a ton of sausage. The piri piri wings were delicious, and might be some of my favorite wings in the area. My daughter ordered the Huevos Ranchero which she enjoyed. It looked delicious when it came to the table. My wife got a classic meal, but ordered it with the Lemon Ricotta Blueberry Pancakes which might've been some of the best pancakes i've had in a while. So definitely some good and bad during my visit, but I will say that I don't think the service was malicious. More like a young lady that for some reason was training a newbie while still getting the hang of things herself. I'm looking forward to coming back and updating this review in a couple months, because there really aren't ANY good breakfast spots around this area, and this one is right around the corner. I barely get to go here but when I do I always look forward to it. The breakfast is always fresh and hot, so many great options. My first visit I wasn't expecting to see a bar so that definitely made me happy to be able to have a drink. The service hasn't disappointed me, they're always on top of it. This Chicken was skinless, nice and warm with a little bit of crunch to it. One thing I would try different. Use chicken tenders as opposed to fingers, tenders would be thinner, the fingers were kind-of thick and the syrup was really thin. My son's bacon was flaccid, which is gross. They really should serve crispy bacon. At $7, his tiny smoothie was overpriced by A LOT. The hostess wasn't very friendly, but maybe she has social anxiety; I don't know her life. She did seat us in a booth, which was nice. Our server was fantastic, even though he was crazy busy.
