truffle hashbrowns + bacon, egg & cheese sandwich

So excited that Portland gets its own Eggslut location! I've tried the Vegas location and this is equivalent! We ordered their truffle hashbrowns and the bacon, egg & cheese sandwich - both items were delicious! Since they're in their soft opening and gaining plenty of traction on social media, I've heard of people waiting in line for over an hour. We went on a Tuesday around 11am and there were no lines and we only waited 8-10 minutes for our order! Great service! Additionally, plenty of seating in the Prost area. Highly recommend checking this place out!

We tried a few of their breakfast items, 3 breakfast sandwiches and a single order of potatoes. Insanely expensive. The bacon sandwich was dripping with ketchup, which made it hard to enjoy. The sausage sandwich has a green sausage patty. Maybe intentional, but slightly off putting. The vegetarian sandwich ( which I believe is called " the Fairfax" ) was the best one, good flavor, eggs were so creamy. Potatoes were just ok. All the sandwiches were very messy with yolky egg mess running everywhere. Overall, extremely overpriced, and flavors don't justify.

Potatoes were super salty and they didnt even put egg on my sandwich They need to do better and make sure their orders are correct

I had high expectations and they were not met. I ordered the chicken sausage with egg sandwich and their hash browns. Hash browns tasted fantastic but way over priced for the portion. $5 for maybe 6-7 coin sized pieces. . The sandwich was bland. Sausage should have FLAVOR, It did not. I haven't ruled this place out. I'll try the bacon sandwich and the burger. Hopefully those are better

Eggslut has made its way to Portland. We've tried both the Grand Central Market and Glendale ones in LA, so eager to see how it compared. We were able to catch them during their soft opening, located inside of Prost in the Mississippi District. It's in an outdoor shared space with other dining options. The line was moderately long but the staff moved quickly and efficiently. The wait for food wasn't super long either, but considering this was their soft opening, I'm sure that could change. We ordered a Wagyu Cheeseburger, Sausage Egg and Cheese, Truffle Hashbrowns, and a Fresh Squeezed Orange Juice. Could definitely tell the orange juice was fresh squeezed, and you really can't beat that. Normally on sandwiches with egg in them, we opt for a jammy-firm set. But both sandwiches we ordered were very runny, resulting in a rather messy eating experience. The truffle hashbrowns were tasty though. A much nicer side to have with a burger than fries, imo. A fine option for a meal, but not one I'd go out of my way for, based on price.

Amazing food! I got the Wagyu cheeseburger and my friend got the Fairfax with their truffle hash browns. Everything was delicious. Staff were amazing, especially Kevin, who went above and beyond to give us complimentary orange juice to wash everything down. The food cart seating is very nice and the area is clean and greenery was calming.

Since it was late, I was excited to…read moresee they offer a 1/2 sandwich and side of potato salad special because I really wanted to try the potato salad (I have yet to meet a potato I don't like), but didn't think I had it in me to have a whole sandwich plus potato salad without ruining dinner. The service was friendly and our order came out quickly considering we hit a mini-rush. The inside of the restaurant is cozy, clean, and comfortable. There are a few booths and a couple of tables inside as well as a few picnic tables outside. My daughter and I both got the No. 1 1/2 sandwich with potato salad special. The house smoked five-spice pulled pork was AHHHmazing. The pork was deeply flavorful, the sesame slaw was crunchy and added balance, and the chili-garlic BBQ sauce was the perfect way to bring it all together, flavorful without being overpowering. The thing about sandwiches is, you can have the best filling in the world, but it all hangs on the bread. I'm happy to say that their bread was incredible, delicately chewy, nice loft, but not too much bread. The German potato salad was piquant and flavorful, just what I hoped. For a side, they gave a generous portion. I was fairly stuffed, but managed a couple more bites in honor of Dolly. Now is the time when I tell you I'm not even a sandwich fan. Yes, I eat them, but I don't crave them. I can't wait to return and bring my lobster because he LOVES a sandwich. So many of the sandwiches look delicious, but now the test will be, do I keep ordering my beloved No. 1 (which I find myself craving now), or branch out?

I did a filter for which restaurants are offering a vegan sandwich for $10! I have heard of Chubby Bunny, but until now, I have not tried them out. They are a food truck located in a pod on Alberta Street. I was able to park close by in the neighborhood. When I entered the pod, I found Chubby Bunny right away. I was planning on paying with cash, but I saw a sign to use the kiosk. The kiosk was handy, but pay with a card. I thought oh well. But when I went to the window, I saw a sign to ring the bell if you were picking up an order, paying cash or had questions. I decided to get another sandwich to go, so I rang the bell and paid cash for it. When my first sandwich was ready, they called my name. I sat at a small outdoor table next to the food truck. The Nice Bunny, which was the special for sandwich week, was really good! It consisted of Fried Spamm, egg, melted provolone cheese, Creole mustard, on a toasted pretzel bun. 100% Secretly Vegan. It was really satisfying! I definitely plan on returning to try other menu items!

The food cart is located in a little gated square, along with several other carts. The central dining area is great-- space is plentiful, there are tented and untented tables, and it is very clean. The food cart space is located on Albina, which means you can easily make an afternoon of your outing. There are a ton of small shops and boutiques around with pretty much anything you can imagine. Chubby Bunny doesn't have anyone outside to take your order. Instead, you order on a big tablet and they text you when your food is ready. I'll admit I actually hate ordering on tablets because I miss getting to chat with a human being, but that was the only negative thing about this experience and I know a lot of people vastly prefer the no contact options. I got the Sandwich Week Breakfast Sandwich (fake eggs and meat with a spicy sauce on a pretzel bun) and a hash brown. It was INCREDIBLE. I was a little skeptical to try the fake eggs (I am a vegetarian, not a vegan), but I couldn't tell a difference at all. I get why they call themselves "accidentally vegan"-- it absolutely tasted like the real deal. The sandwich was large, flavorful, and the sauce had such an excellent zing. The hash brown was perfectly crispy. This was a great meal and for $10, it was a great deal too. We will absolutely return.

The space is cute and relatively small, so I wouldn't be surprised if it gets crowded and has a longer wait. They have a counter with a bunch of pastries and several people came and got food and pastries to go. We got the full corn cakes plate and the trout sandwich and both were excellent. I would say the corn cakes were the better of the two dishes but I would get either of them again. The menu isn't massive, so you have to like what they have to like the restaurant, but at the very least both of these dishes were excellent! The coffee was quite tasty too and has bottomless refills which is always nice. I will definitely be back to try the rest of the menu!
