This place is a hidden gem. Kinda pricey but so unbelievably delicious with friendly staff and a calm comfy atmosphere. They make their own hot sauce, too, and you can buy bottles of it to take home. You can barely tell this place used to be a Chinese restaurant lol. You would think they would be able to get better Feng shui. When you walk inside, every single person is confused by the layout and seating arrangement. In a breakfast diner usually there's lots of stuff on the walls. The walls are mostly empty with comically small decor and a comically small TV shoved way up high in a corner. Thr service staff are nice but super inexperienced and slow. The food was good. However, a note for the kitchen - biscuits are gravy, the gravy is supposedly to be on the side unless you grill the biscuit. Otherwise the biscuit gets cold and soggy quickly. If you want it smothered then you should split the biscuit and grill on the flat top. read more

I placed an order and when I arrived they said it was getting bagged and they'd bring it out to me where I was sitting, waited 10 mins to get up and ask again about my order only to be told it was ready sitting out for a while, I asked the girl why she didn't bring it out like I was told and she said her area was waiting tables that she didn't know but it was the same girl that told me she's bring it out. They should have a person specifically for to go orders because then my food was cold I was 100 only for my food to be cold and they tell me it's not their place that the people (cooks) are in charge of the orders. I came on a Wednesday morning early at 8am and was the only person there besides staff. Noticeably there were staff coughing and sneezing . I ordered the 2x4 pancakes with sausage, scrambled cheese eggs and bacon. The pancakes tasted like they came from a plastic wrapped box, the bacon was rubbery and tough to chew, the eggs were slightly runny . The space itself was bigger than I imagined somewhat clean. Lots of open seating . The prices would've been reasonable if the quality was there but it wasn't . I would hope the lunch menu is better, however I won't return to find out. read more

Great breakfasts awaits! We have eaten here several times and each time was better than the last. It has been difficult for me to order anything but the crepes which are so thin, light, and luscious with mixed berries. The kids menu is for ages 10 and under a fair price at $6.50 for the pancakes and a drink. I should mention there's no refill on milk or juice. Andrea was our server today. She was extremely busy with 4 additional tables. But she happily made rounds to our table often. The best tip I can suggest is have your food order ready as soon as the server arrives to get your order. This since the kitchen appears to get backed up very quickly. Our food order was not delivered within 15 minutes or less, actually closer to 22 minutes for our breakfast to arrive. Breakfast is made to order. Yes, please, and thank you! I went here after church with one of my friends. This was a very good experience. The customer service was good. It was in too packed and busy, but it definitely can get packed and busy. Wow 5 stars. As I was leaving church, I knew I wanted something really good for breakfast, so I looked at the local diners near me and Eggsellent café came up. I did not see a lot of pictures of the menu, but I was really hungry and I enjoy small diners. This diner was about seven minutes away from my church. I got there glanced at the menu and decided quickly what I want it because I was super hungry. My food took no more than 10 minutes my steak was juicy and cooked perfectly this steak skillet was an awesome choice. The steak is so perfectly seasoned. I didn't need any sauce to go with it. No extra salt nothing it was seasoned. The hash brown underneath the steak has feta cheese, tomatoes, peppers, onion, and spinach. This was an amazing blend and I cannot wait to go back in order it again. I ordered the banana Nutella crêpes without the banana. I love crepes however, this was not my favorite crêpe. It was very mushy and doughy. As I cut into it, it was very slimy. This is a small diner. It's very dark inside, but very intimate. I think it's family owned and the customer service was amazing. Everybody was nice very attentive and fast service. I cannot wait to return and bring my family and friends with me. read more

What a great find for our late breakfast at 2:00 pm. Our waitress was Andrea and another beautiful lady. They both was very nice and kept asking us how everything was and tending to us as well. I had the Steak Skillet and my had the Chorizo Omelette. Both dish was very good. We also had a cup of coffee. Our bill came out to $37.50 tax included. They also offer teachers, veterans and first responders discounts. Although I did not asked for it. So our bill was without the discount. Food was very tasty. I recommend if you are over in the Bishop Arts area or in Oak Cliff this would be a nice spot to eat at. read more

I have ordered three times and not once disappointed. The service was timely presented and freshly made. It gave you a feel that it was home cooked. It has a community and family ambiance; I also would recommend at-home Sunday brunch with foods from this restaurant. The traditional breakfast items did pair well with my dry white blend of Chardonnay/Sauvignon Blanc, "Farms Remembered". You may also want to consider creating a Mimosa from the fresh orange juice at this cafe. For wine drinkers, a Prosecco is also a good pairing wine with most of the breakfast items they offer. Found this spot on Yelp and the food looked really good and fresh. When driving up to the CAFÉ I wasn't expecting anything but possibly good food and was planning to order takeout. Once inside I was pleasantly surprised at how large, neat, and open the space was. They have also spaced the tables out within the café to allow for social distancing. I immediately changed my mind and we ate in. The service was excellent and the servers were attentive. The meal was hot and fresh and was delivered within a reasonable amount of time. Once we received our food, the server never came back to our table to check on us. I got up to grab the butter and syrup to go along with our multiple orders of pancakes and waffles. We weren't offered a refill on coffee until we were ready to leave. Salt and Pepper shakers were sticky, bacon didn't taste right, and the coffee and tea tasted old. Lastly, they started bussing the table while we are still sitting there and my daughter was still eating off her plate.
