    Texican Bowl
    Rebecca C.

So I visited on 2 separate occasions and had two completely different experiences. On my initial visit a group of 4 came in on a Saturday morning and although the restaurant was pretty full we only had a 5 minute wait. Our server was very sweet and answered all our menu questions as this was the first time visiting for half the group. I ordered the texican bowl but instead of chorizo I was able to swap out turkey sausage. Absolutely delicious. The spice from the fresh jalapeños and the over easy eggs was to die for! They definitely go potato heavy which I get since it's cheap and filling. Now on to my second visit. Once again a group of 4 on a Saturday morning, however this time there was no wait and coincidentally we were sat at the same table. I opted for the Baja chicken omelette. Food took longer than last time and when it arrived my entire plate was cold. The butter on the toast wasn't even melted. Our server who was super sweet apologized profusely and had the kitchen remake my food. When it came back out , half the food was lukewarm. I'm not sure if they potatoes and toast sit in a warmer but I wasn't about to send my food back a second time. My omelette had unripe avocado pieces on top which I I could not eat. Major bummer since the avocado was one of the reasons I chose this meal and they forgot the salsa. I told my server and she brought the salsa right over. Overall between both experiences I give it a 2.5/5. Had my most recent visit been my only impression I absolutely would never come back

Our first brunch experience here did not dissapoint. We heard it was tasty, and boy was it ever. I had country-fried steak, eggs, grits, with a buttermilk biscuit and it was marvelous. My wife had the Creme Brulee French toast with chicken tenders, which was a special order, and she said it was one of the most flavorful meals she has ever had. The coffee is fragrant and strong, just like I like it black, and our waitress, Autumn, kept my cup topped off. The atmosphere is old-school 50's diner with some booths, and lots of tables and chairs. I enjoyed the kitchen being visable through the large serving window. The food came quickly and the staff all seemed to love their jobs. Very clean and inviting decor. The only negative was everything was really pricy, but overall, a wonderful meal.

Several reasons I like going here twice a month, the staff are wonderful by being friendly all the time; the food is great and the prices are very reasonable.

It's bright and sunny inside and we had delightful service. Our orders came out quick and everything was piping hot. The food is decent, not a super high end place but the price is about right for the quality. I was happy that my steak was cooked correctly for my steak and eggs and my husband enjoyed his sugary coffee dessert it was a good place to come for a brunch meeting.

Avocado toast-thin thin bread, avocado spread very thin and looked like it been sitting out a while, not a bright green color. Eggs over medium were okay. Killer Carmel iced coffe was great. Service was good and quick. Blue berry pancakes were dry.

Eggs Up Grill is a new restaurant located in the Berwick area of Savannah. I ordered my food though the "Toast Takeout" app, so I do not have any opinions about the service aspect of the business in this review. Ordering through the app was very simple, with an easy process to make any substitutions or modifications. I ordered the "Little Waffle in the Hen House" (Half waffle, two eggs and choice of bacon or sausage) breakfast classic which is perfect for me. I can never eat a whole waffle, so this combination was great. The app informed me when my food was ready, and pickup was fast and effortless. The food was very filling, and the eggs were scrambled with cheese as requested. Everything tasted delicious and I had no complaints. The restaurant also offers omelets, biscuits, salads, burgers, burritos, and family bundles. There appears to be something for everyone on the menu. They are open for breakfast and lunch. It is nice to have a dedicated breakfast restaurant in this part of town, and I will be back soon.

We came back for a workday lunch. It's quiet so we got our food in time. Yet we still failed to get a soda refill throughout the time we were eating here, because our waitress is too busy talking to other waitresses. We could only get a small to go cup in the end. The avocado toast is a bit disappointing. You would think it would be warm, or at least room temperature--wrong, it's icy COLD!!! They toasted the bread, but everything they put on top of the bread is directly from the fridge. Avocado and salsa are both cold cold, immediately taking away any warmth of the toasted bread. The portion is small--you only got two very small extra thin slices of bread, plus two eggs. For $7.99, it's better to order something else. My husband's lunch burger looks decent! I love breakfast place, so I guess I will keep coming back.

Over easy eggs & steak with grits & buttered toast.

It honestly reminds me of that 'Country Greek' hospitality where nobody leaves hungry. The food is just phenomenal. That Fried Chicken is easily some of the best in the South, perfectly crispy and seasoned. I couldn't get enough of the Sweet Potato Soufflé and the Creamed Corn, which was so fresh and rich. The Macaroni and Cheese was exactly how it should be, thick and flavorful with that perfect baked crust. Every bowl they brought out was delicious, from the Butter Beans to the Flaky Biscuits. If you look at the photos, the sheer amount of food is mind-blowing. It's like a massive family feast every single day. The restaurant is communal style and only opened from 11am-2pm. There are about 8 oval shaped tables total that can seat approximately 8-10 people per table. I believe they said they can seat 75 total. When you go inside, at each table they'll have sweet tea and plenty of dishes of food for you to choose from already on the table. The options included fried chicken, sweet cornbread, biscuits, green beans, black eyed peas, Mac n cheese, squash, okra, dirty rice, collard greens, potatoes au gratin, Lima beans, pulled pork, beef stew, mashed sweet potatoes, mashed potatoes, potato salad, and maybe a few more options. You pass the dishes around the table and load your plate up until your heart is content. The best items to me were the fried chicken, sweet cornbread, and peach cobbler. The dirty rice was undercooked and there were hard pieces. Everything else was just sustenance. If you're a vegetarian, your options will be limited to sides only. You might be able to have squash, Mac n cheese, and maybe potato salad. Many of the items are cooked with meat or made with beef or chicken stock. It's $35 flat per person. Based on the 2 hour and 15 minute wait, I don't think the food was worth it. If the wait was 30 mins to 45 mins, maybe.

The refund came through exactly as he said it would. To be clear, the food on my visit genuinely missed, and I'm not pretending otherwise. But Tyler responded publicly, owned it, and followed through completely. That kind of accountability is rare, and it's what earned the bump. Credit where it's due on the space, too -- the ambiance is genuinely great. Warm, candle-lit dining room, an open kitchen, a well-stocked bar, and a covered patio that had a real buzz to it. It's a spot that looks and feels like somewhere you want to be, which is exactly why I'd give the kitchen another shot based on how the owner runs this place. --- Original review (2 stars): Disappointing birthday dinner. Came in for my birthday and left underwhelmed. Our server Troy was the one bright spot -- professional and attentive all night. Caesar salad: Several bitter pieces of lettuce, and no black pepper offered or available. Faroe Island salmon: Overly buttery like it had been sitting under a heat lamp. The shishito cream sauce was way too acidic -- tasted like uncooked wine or vinegar. Crispy rice cakes were bland and a strange pairing (rice blocks with salmon?). The baby bok choy was decent until the sauce drowned it out. Braised beef short rib: Tender but flavorless. The mashed potatoes tasted old, not fresh that evening. To top it off, my wife had arranged ahead of time for the birthday dessert to be brought out -- the message never reached Troy, so that moment never happened. Troy deserved better than what the kitchen sent out.

The greeting from our arrival to seating was prompt and very courteous. We got suggestions from the wait staff and started our experience. They have an extensive cocktail and wine list. Very hard not to make it chewy. Great char and sauce that accompanied it. For entrees, we did the Perloo, an amazing interpretation, and a swordfish. Both dishes were immaculately prepared and perfectly sized. We chose a bottle of Loss and Lehn, something we had never tried before but recommended based on what we had ordered. It matched perfectly with both dishes. We also choose items from the pick 3 menu to accompany our entrees. We finished with the best bread Pudding we have ever had nd french press coffee.
