UPDATE: The owner of the company called me just now and was extremely apologetic and stated what transpired should never have happened. He actually went so far as to go back and watch the video of the entire situation. He was very professional and again extremely apologetic. I am a pastor who was meeting an old friend for breakfast this morning to talk about issues of faith. We met at Eggs Up Grill in Rock Hill. We had finished eating but still drinking our coffee and talking when we were approached by the hostess and asked to leave because we were taking too long and others were waiting. We pointed out the fact that they had 5 other tables and an open booth, but that didn't seem to matter. I will never set foot in that restaurant again. read more

So dirty. We arrived and were placed at a table with dirt and trash under it. I had to ask for a clean space. After wiping the table myself (this is a habit since I have little ones) and noticing the table was dirty, I also wiped the chairs that were sticky. Food was very mediocre. Got to the bathroom, opened the door and there was an employee there who forgot to lock the door. I'm sure this place has seen better days. But today was definitely not it. I had the pleasure of my first dining experince at Egg's Up Grill this morning, and I have to say, I have definitely found my new go to for breakfast. Being known as quite a 'foodie', Eggs Up Grill was recommended to me by a neighbor who frequently visits, as a spot that would surely please my expectations, and he was absolutely right! Upon arriving, I was initially impressed with the very neat, orderly and efficient layout and operation of the eatery. When I walked in and saw just how busy the eatery was that early in the morning, and how effeciently and effectively everything seemed to run, I knew I had made a really good choice. The menu variety is quite expansive, loaded with lots of great options for even the pickiest of breakfast and lunch connoisseurs. My service was attentive, expedient and simply great overall, all things noteworthy of a well-oiled culinary machine, things that I really pay attention to and appreciate beyond just what is presented to the plate. Our chosen breakfast options were plentiful, hot, tasted wonderful, and were fairly priced for what I consider a very good value for the dollar for the quality/quantity received. My only critique is upon myself, that I waited so long to find out about this great eatery. Myself and my party were very pleased with everything overall, and most certainly make plans to make Eggs Up Grill our new home for breakfast, as they're practically in our backyard. Love! We were searching for another breakfast and decided to give this a try. We were sold pretty quickly. We were sat really quick and the wait staff was very attentive. Everyone was friendly and welcoming. Very kid friendly which is always a win. All of our food came out correct and yummy! One thing I noticed as well but so that the food was really hot and seasoned perfectly. Nice little breakfast/brunch restaurant. Huge menu selection! I ordered the bacon cheddar burger and got a side order of gravy biscuits. They could've been a full entree on their own! Eggs Up slipped by us as an option for brunch or breakfast. They are clean. I saw people cleaning tables an I even saw an employee cleaning the doors and handles too. The eggs were scrambled to perfection . My bacon was cooked and not wiggly. Our waitress smiled and kept my soda filled. The system and communication with the kitchen was efficient. I'm giving this place 3 stars because they have a big problem. They place their pickup orders before their walk in diners. I watched as people sat and waited for food. Bunch of empty tables while food was flying out the door for pickup. The food is decent for breakfast type food, but it's all overshadowed by the constant flow of food flying out the door for people who don't want to wait in line or just don't want to be in public. If you are looking for a "breakfast place", you won't do much better than this. The place was bright, clean, and well staffed on a Wednesday. Our waitress Erica was pleasant, knowledgeable, and honest about what was great on the menu vs. merely decent. Speaking of which, they make their own corned beef has using the founder's original recipe. Recommend the Patty O'Sullivan omelet with Swiss cheese. When Plate came, pancakes were hanging partly off plate (my little thing I don't like). Pancakes tasted fine, but curious about consistency- kept soaking up all the syrup! So I used a lot more than normal ... curious. Service - I had to ask and then was out of coffee when finally got some. At other Eggs Up, have been offered & see wait staff more. Hali is the best ! Me and my fiancé found this place recently and we are in love with it. The service is stellar and the food is to die for ! It's like home made food made by a chef! Everything is fresh and of excellent quality! From the taste to the temperature and seasoning is just on another level! Do yourself a favor and come visit them.
