food was better than 5 star. service was prompt and friendly ambience was clean and spacious definitely recommend it for breakfast.... scrambled eggs were soft and fluffy. french fries were seasoned perfectly

    The best servers!

I was greeted so warmly. They showed me where I could sit. I had an energetic, kind and beautiful server. She made me feel like I was home. She delivered my meal with a smile. I devoured it. Almost forgot to take a pic. The entire restaurant was sunshine and happiness. It was closing time and they did not rush me out. They chatted with me as they cleaned up. Excellent service with fantastic food, relaxed atmosphere, and awesome service! Definitely recommend.

Wanted to try a new place. The restaurant was clean. The service was slow. The food took forever. Not just ours but also the tables around us. They would not come around and top off the coffees. Our coffees were iced cold while waiting for our food. If you're going to make people wait, the bare minimum you could do is provide warm up's. The food was actually pretty good. The American fries were probably the best I've had in the area. The next thing that really put me over the edge is the waitress coming to our table, when I'm in the middle of eating my food that took forever. And proclaiming she is going home and could we pay our bill now. ‍ Not just our table, but several others. I probably won't be back, because I have closer options. We wanted to add a new option for breakfast. But obviously this isn't anything to go out of our way for.

Fresh Egg - Where Diets Go to Die (Happily)…read more Our group of 4 1/2 (yes, somebody only ate half their plate because self-control showed up late ) walked into Fresh Egg thinking we were just grabbing breakfast... and walked out needing a nap and a moment of silence. Let's talk FOOD. That omelet? Fluffy like it trained at egg boot camp. Stuffed with sausage, ham, bacon, cheese basically the Avengers of breakfast. The home fries were crispy golden cubes of perfection. Not soggy. Not greasy. Just straight-up breakfast excellence. The ham slices were thick and flavorful like they meant business. That biscuit sandwich? Soft, buttery, and holding everything together like a breakfast superhero. And those cheesy grits? Creamy enough to make you emotional. Add melted cheddar and it's basically Southern comfort in a bowl. Portions? Generous. Flavor? Elite. Coffee? Flowing like we were at a caffeine convention. Now let's talk about Jonathan Jonathan delivered AMAZING service. Attentive without hovering, friendly without being forced, and on top of everything like a breakfast conductor running a delicious orchestra. Drinks stayed filled, food came out hot, and he made sure our whole crew felt taken care of. That kind of service turns a good meal into a great experience. The vibe inside? Busy, lively, happy breakfast energy everywhere. You can tell this is a spot people return to again and again. Final verdict: We came hungry. We left full. We left smiling. And yes... we'll be back. Fresh Egg you cracked the code.

This spot delivers exactly what it promises, making it a reliable choice for the area. To start, the coffee was great--hot, fresh, and strong. For my main dish, I opted for a Western omelette. It was perfectly fine, a solid choice, if not spectacular. My husband had the egg, bacon, cheese breakfast sandwich and thoroughly enjoyed it. The only reason I'm docking a star is for the side of corn muffins I ordered. They were, unfortunately, a complete letdown. They were hard, dry, and truly tasted like small stones. Even piling on the soft, fresh butter couldn't save them. However, the excellent service and the positive experience with the main dishes and coffee easily outweigh one bad side item. We had a good meal overall, and I would definitely go back again (and just skip the corn muffins next time!).

The place looks like a pub, inside and out, with a huge patio in the rear. All the workers we encountered were really polite and personable. It was very clean inside, even the bathrooms. We pretty much knew what we wanted but enjoyed looking at the menu anyway. Started off with a 20 oz Black & Tan and a 16 oz Harps. So good. My husband had the Fish and Chips. Perfect fry, thick and flaky fish, served with a side of malt vinegar and tartar sauce. The slaw was crisp and savory and the fries crisp. He loved every bite. I had the Bangers and Mash. The sausage was tender with a delicious onion gravy. Some veggies were included (green beans, cauliflower and carrot). The mash itself was creamy and chunky, just the way I love it. Complete comfort food. We ended the meal by splitting a dish of Sticky Toffee Pudding. It was sweet and savoury, with a hint of salt to balance, topped with vanilla ice cream and more toffee sauce. (I haven't had a Sticky Toffee Pudding since I was a child and this was such a delicious treat to share.) The whole experience was exceptional and we cannot wait to go back.

They, very kindly, offered to put us on the list while we were in-route! We arrived and were seated within minutes. Very cool of them to do that! Our waiter was very patient, friendly and explained the specials and menu items in detail. He made the dining a positive experience for sure! Potato bites were good. Whatever the shmear underneath was it could use some more of that! Bangers and mash were meh. Bland mash, overcooked bangers and not enough gravy. I was provided some extra gravy though. Fish and Chips were a big hit! Perfect cook and the batter was light, crisp and stuck to the fish well! Tartar was great. Slaw was on the boring side but unnecessary in the end. Everyone was friendly, a band was playing, the lights were dim, drinks were cold and the fish is good. If you live in the area I highly recommend checking it out!

They now serve breakfast in the mornings at The Crazy Pig and their usual BBQ in the afternoons and evenings, so it worked out perfectly for them! Don't be surprised if you don't see signage for The Egg, but If you're at The Crazy Pig, you've come to the right place. While Crazy Pig is a bit smaller inside than The Egg's original location, I think it's cozier--and nicer! They play great music in the mornings, too. My husband and I heard Sinatra on a recent visit. We usually get the same things every time. I like their Mixed Grill omelet, filled with chopped ham, bacon, sausage, and cheese. I do wish the cheese-to-egg ratio were higher, but you can always ask for extra cheese, like I usually do. My husband gets their house-made corned beef hash every time. It's so good, and you can tell it's not from a can! Their hash browns aren't super crispy, but have a lot of flavor. Ditto for their homefries. Several of our favorite servers from the original Egg moved to this location, too, and their service is excellent! Their coffee is good, too. And their prices can't be beat. I'm hoping that they might incorporate some BBQ options in their breakfast, like a pork BBQ omelet. Yum--that would be great! Even if they don't, we'll keep coming back.

I don't throw those words around lightly. I'm a breakfast professional. I've traveled. I've eaten. I've sacrificed stretchy waistbands for less. First of all Kayla J. Service? VIP. Celebrity status. I felt like I walked in with a security detail. The way she checked on us? I thought she was about to hand me a Grammy. Attentive, friendly, and faster than my metabolism trying to survive those portions. Now let's talk FOOD. The corned beef hash with potatoes and eggs? My goodness. The eggs were perfectly cooked -- that yolk broke open like it had something to prove. The corned beef? Crispy, juicy, seasoned like somebody's grandma was back there supervising the kitchen. The potatoes? Golden. Crunchy. Faith restored. And these portions?? They don't believe in small plates here. They believe in "Cancel your lunch plans" plates. I wasn't eating breakfast... I was entering a commitment. You know it's serious when you're halfway through and start negotiating with yourself: "Alright... one more bite... for America." And don't even get me started on the pancakes. Fluffy like they were trained in altitude. Powdered sugar falling like breakfast confetti. Absolute madness. Famous Toastery in Davidson isn't just breakfast it's a spiritual experience with syrup. 10/10. Would return. Would loosen belt again. First, we arrived at about 8:30am and there was about 3 other parties already seated. After being setting, we waited about ten minutes before anyone came over to offer coffee or a menu ; as I watch all of the wait staff in back just having, which looked like a bunch of chatter because something was very funny to them them all. One young lady kept wiping her nose with the back of her hand( I am sure it was her allergies but you are working out food); I am glad she was not my waitress or I would had to say something. The food was very good as always as I wanted to treat my mom since she had to fast for the test she before breakfast The ambience is basic but conducive. Nothing worth writing about. I felt it odd that 3 to 4 tabletops were covered with dirty dishes. They definitely had not been pre-bussed and no one had been to the table since the customers had left. There was clearly not a bus person anywhere to be seen. It was a gorgeous morning and we sat outside for about 20 minutes or so, and nobody had greeted us. One waitress walked by our table, but didn't say a word another waitress saw the mess on the patio and came out and started cleaning, but also did not greet us. I detest complaining, but after losing at paper, rock, scissors, I was definitely the one who had to go in and address the issue. I finally went inside to ask if the waitstaff knew that we were seated outside. The blonde lady behind the register said she did not know who our wait person was and that she was trying to find out at that moment. We waited patiently for at least 10 to 15 more minutes and finally my boyfriend went in and asked the same question. Unfortunately, he was given the very same answer that I was roughly 15 minutes earlier. Finally, a waitress appeared and apologized and stated that nobody had told her that she had a table on the patio. Things were looking up, so I thought. She brought the drinks that we had ordered and placed our breakfast order. Then delivered the drinks, but we had nothing to mix sugar into the coffee. I returned inside the restaurant once again and requested a spoon to stir the sugar. There was a counter full of silverware that was sitting right next to the register, but the blonde lady said that she would have to have someone bring me a spoon. By the time we finally got the spoon the coffee had started to cool. Our breakfast arrived shortly after and the waitress looked at us and asked if we needed anything else. We mentioned that we did not have any silverware and she said that she would be right back. Again, we waited for what felt like an eternity and then went inside and retrieved silverware. My boyfriend was standing at the counter again, waiting on the lady with the blonde hair and in the meantime, the waitress finally did appear with utensils, but breakfast was already getting cold. The taste of the food was good. The portions were generous, but my last bite had a portion of the avocado seed that causing me to cough until almost gagging. I don't like to leave negative reviews! Something was definitely off today. It felt as though there was not a manager at this location and that at least 1 bus person called in sick. This might have been the first day for the lady with the blond hair working the counter at First Watch. I am so disappointed! There are numerous restaurants that we could've chosen to have breakfast at this morning. I dare say that I've had a much better experience at the local Waffle House.
