I have ordered from this place via Door Dash quite a bit, but I went inside for the first time today. I am a big fan of sandwiches so I should have actually been eating here a long, long time ago. I was surprised that the ordering island looked like a bank lobby with slips to write out what you want. I guess we must have looked confused because an associate came out to explain the ordering process in a friendly way. I stuck with my usual. A turkey on wheat sub with provolone tomatoes and lettuce... Dressed to kill with oil, vinegar, oregano and black pepper. It did not disappoint. I also indulged my sweet fang with their delicious, better than anyone's Oreo Milkshakes. This is not hyperbole but theirs are " the" best cookies and cream shakes around, even without whipped cream. This review is based on their Meatball Sub. It was my first time trying Which Wich and after trying the meatball sub I see why I was never in a rush to try them. The service was excellent and the workers were friendly and informative, but the bad sub overshadows the good customer service. The Meatball Sub is packed with bland meatballs, very chunky pomodoro sauce (which I dislike) pesto sauce, and of course provolone and mozzarella cheese. My sub was a mess! Absolutely terrible customer service and negligent managers/owners. Their app took our order for delivery and then could not fulfill since their store was actually closed when their own delivery service driver was out there to pick up. Instead of a normal refund process, I got the cancellation email and to call the store for refund. After 7 calls with providing details each time, the manager and the owner did not follow up at all. I had the joy of a server telling me that if it were them, they would not care about the $27. This is very interesting and makes one wonder about value of resources instilled in the team that runs the place. I have now let my credit card company handle it as a dispute. I used to like the place for the simplicity of the food and ability to customize a meal. Clearly between their poorly designed app, their negligence in follow up and lack of care for their customers this is not the same place that once was a great spot in Birkdale village. Although the staff is very sweet and attentive, I don't recommend this location. I have been to which wich locations in other states and areas that have a much better variety on their menu. Every time I come to this location there is less and less on the menu to choose from. It's actually very sad to see. I used to love going to which, wich because the meat and bread was so good, they also had a good selection of cheese. I remember in Tulsa Oklahoma you could get cheese whiz on your sandwiches. At this location they only have four options for cheese. By the next time I go there they will only have two options for cheese probably. Even the chip selection is very limited. Oh Which Wich...I love you! The ordering process is marketing genius! Bags are are neatly organized for you based on your meat/protein choice. Then comes the fun part...deciding any & everything you want on that sandwich. Veggies, condiments, type of bread, extras, etc. It's a bit overwhelming, but I have a favorite combination that I stick with: turkey with white bread (toasted), pickles, avocado, pepper jack cheese, & bacon. Friendly employees make my experience so much better. The employees here get my top vote for their attentiveness & customer service. Reasonable prices. $7.75 for a "combo" meal, which includes a (regular) 7 inch sub, chips & a drink. However, the (regular) 7 inch sub alone is $5.25 & it's filling! The only thing I'm a little mad about is the house chips no longer being fresh and in a brown paper bag, though they still taste good and are just as salty. Very disappointed with my lunch today. I got a turkey sandwich and it didn't have the correct toppings I ordered and they didn't include my chips either. (Which I paid for). This is why I hate ordering delivery because they regularly leave items out of my order or make the sandwich incorrectly. Nothing was rectified when I called the store to complain. Let me start by saying that I'm not really a fan of sandwiches. I just think they are kind of boring. But Which Wich has definitely won me over! There are so many choices for different sandwiches, and the prices are really good. I'm hooked on the tomato avocado veggie sandwich - it's loaded with avocado, and I'm thrilled that hummus is an available topping (at no charge). Which Wich serves their vegetarian clientele very well. Other than my favorite, there are several other veggie sandwich options, like the tomato caprese or the Mediterranean, as well as several seafood options. For meat eaters, the choices are unbelievable. My hubby favors the Wicked - it's loaded with five meats (pre-selected) and three cheeses (you select). Olive spread is another available topping, and it works really well on this sandwich. If you haven't been to Which Wich before, I strongly urge you to check out the menu on their website before going. That will help navigate the vast menu and all the condiment options. I appreciate that when you arrive, you step over to the side to place your order on a bag. That way, you are not holding up the line while making your selections. When you're ready, you give the bag to the cashier to ring you up, and then wait for your sandwich to be made. We tried a vanilla milkshake with banana on our last visit, and it was good but a bit pricey ($3.50). Even so, we'll probably get one again, ha ha. Which Wich is a great addition to Birkdale, with reasonable prices and great food. I'm hooked! read more

Bumping Which Wich up to 4 stars as they seem to have overcome their early operational hurdles and, as the team has trained, the sandwiches seem to come out much more quickly when they are busy than back in the summer when they opened in Birkdale Village. I wouldn't call it "fast" but it's certainly reasonable given the customer volume. Quality is still quite good and there are enough options to make your head spin but all easily ordered with their bag and marker system. I have to admit I was confused at first. I could use one of those guides for how to properly fill in the bubble because I was Xing instead of filling in. If that was a high school test I would've failed. The way you pick a bag, mark what you want and pass it along. In that sense it really stands out among the "other guys". So ditch your Subway, your Quizno's, your Jersey Mike's and make a special trip to Birkdale to try the cheeze whiz with beef! Load it on with shrooms, bacon, BBQ, A1 and some lettuce to make you feel better about all those bad choices. I received a sandwich that was entirely inedible. Avocado can make or break a sandwich. As a vegan I usually order the avocado with a ton of other veggies. My favorite place to get a delicious sub! At first the way you order may seem confusing but it's really great - you pick a bag according to the type of sandwich you want and then check off everything you want your sandwich to be (hot or cold, size, toppings) so there is no confusion. You hand it to the person working the register then they make your sandwich. The bread is fresh and the choice of toppings is very extensive (I personally love spinach and avocado on my sandwich). I work in Birkdale so this is my go to lunch a couple times a month. From the first time I went in there, I was greeted with the whole crew smiling. I always order to go and eat in my office. Sometimes I add extra requests and I have to say, these people always go above and beyond when serving me. They are ALWAYS polite, never give me hassle for my strange requests and seem to always be in a great mood. I'm not sure if it's the owner or the manager, but there's a lady (I will make sure to get her name next time I'm in) who always treats everyone like they are the only one who matters. Their offerings are just like all other Which Wich locations, so I'd say that the things that distinguish this location are 1) the location and 2) the staff. They're in Birkdale, which is great. But it's not a very big shop, which means you basically can't ever come with a group of friends. The staff is fine -- friendly and good order accuracy. Nothing stands out about this place, good or bad. Except maybe their cookies, which are genuinely terrible. Want a sandwich? Probably worth a stop. read more
