Excellent atmosphere, service, and food. We had the traditional scrambled eggs, hash browns, bacon, and toast breakfast. All good! The coffee is good too, but a it on the light side, so more American. Also good! We'll definitely come back when in the area. read more

It would be 5 stars but for the smell of PINE!!! I absolutely love the breakfast/brunch here. Love it. Absolutely no complaints on the food. Staff is good. My only issue is the absolutely overwhelming smell of Pine-Sol or whatever pine scented product they clean the cement floors with. I've eaten here 5x in 3 months and the pine-chem smell is always there. It's too similar to the industrial cleaner smell used in airport or sports arena bathrooms. Reminiscent of the pine cake things in porta-potties. If the owners/managers read this, I beg you please get rid of the pine scented cleaner, it's way too strong of a smell for a restaurant. Everything else is great! UPDATE: Changed from 4 to 5 stars: We went for a late brunch the other day, about 3 weeks after this original posting and I am so stoked to say it did NOT smell like pine Really though it was great and you could smell all the delicious food being cooked. Awesome service, great food! There is an Irish gent that works here, possibly owns it because he has a passion for excellence, relative to guests' dining experience. The coffee cups are big and they fill them up real quick, as soon as you arrive. Very clean and the food comes out quick. Also upon arrival, hostess provided my daughter (age 2 1/2) with a coloring page and crayons. Very cool spot, support this restaurant and make it thrive! I highly recommend this restaurant. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!! I ordered to go breakfast at the Bee Ridge location one morning and they messed up my order so I simply wanted a refund on my credit card for the item they messed up. The manager was so unprofessional and difficult to deal with and claimed she couldn't refund my credit card. The waitress I delt before talking to the manager days prior with was very kind but the manager clearly doesn't know how to manage! I will never return to this restaurant. read more

Avoid this one at all costs! Horribly managed. On any given day you will probably hear the so-called Kitchen Manager screaming/cussing at his kitchen/waitstaff from your seat in the dining room. My daughter and I found this place on 4/30/16 by accident. We were doing a dog rescue and needed a place to meet up. I found this place. Let me start by saying I couldn't have picked a better place. They are very dog friendly. They also are very people friendly. :-) After we got the dog we sat outside at one of their tables. The staff were very friendly, attentive and efficient. They even brought cold water out for the dog. Now that I've gushed about the people let me gush about the food. Oh my, the food was fantastic!! My daughter had the special blueberry pancakes, eggs, toast and meat. My daughter is very fussy about her eggs. She likes them cooked a certain way and her eggs came out prefect. The pancake batter is made from scratch and the pancakes had beautiful fresh plump ripe blueberries. I had tropical pancakes, that had sliced fresh pineapple, flaked coconut and macadamia nuts, along with scrambled eggs with cheese and soft bacon. The food was so good. My mouth is watering thinking about it and it's been hours since we left. The bacon did me in. I rarely find any place that cooks bacon fresh and cooks it to my liking. The dog had delicious grill chicken breast with the part of my eggs. The pancakes were hug. The portions were big and filling besides delicious and neither of us could finish our meals. This family owned restaurant is an hour away from where I live. We are planning on going back again and again even when we don't have a dog rescue. Well take one of our dogs for an outing. I highly recommend this restaurant. You need to go, take your dog then tell me about your experience. Tell them the ladies who did the dog rescue outside sent you. read more

We came with our dog, sat outside, and they immediately brought a bowl of water. Had delicious home made corned beef hash along with eggs and hash browns, cooked exactly as ordered. Seated quickly, open dining room. Simple breakfast and lunch menu, mostly American traditional. Seems like most people inthe restaurant ordered pancakes but i ordered an omelet. I was displeased with the end result because the ingredients were folded into scrambled eggs, not embedded into the egg. It was overcooked too. Sadly, the potatoes lacked flavor as well. Fruit selection was nice though. Perhaps next time, if there is, I too will order the pancakes. Overall, good experience but nothing to get excited about. read more

TERRIBLE. Waited for about 30+ minutes for our food. Not a big party of people. Waitress never came out for refills on drinks. Asked for a box, 15 minutes later she never showed up with one. Never got a refill on water or coffee during the whole trip. When food finally came out, it was cold. If you have high expectations like I did, don't. You're going to be disappointed. I took my family here for breakfast. We were seated. I asked questions about different things on the menu and given wrong information. When served it was completely wrong and I was up charged more then I was quoted for substitutes. The hash browns were pure fried grease literally no potatoes.....heart attack served on a plate. I asked ANY waitress at this point (because our didn't return) if I could have the potatoes. Our waitress came back and gave me the potatoes and walked away with an attitude. Those were all burnt!! You could not even identify what the onions and peppers were. Our waitress was no where to be found. At this point we need and have needed refills on drinks since our food was served. So I grab another waitress and told her these potatoes are burnt. She apologized. She brought me back potatoes that were good. Haven't seen our waitress yet. My kids were done eating at this point. No water or refills on drinks. Needless to say I didn't ask the waitress to take back our pancakes because they were way way over cooked and cold! When the waitress came back she gave us our Check and finally refilled the water. As I went up to pay.....the English woman asked me how it was. I told her the truth. The food was horrible and burnt, the service was not good and I didn't even get to eat with my family. All she said was sorry. DON'T ask me then!!! She was as cold as ice and could care a less. I spent a ton of money on breakfast that was horrible. I would never recommend this place to anyone. It is way way over priced, the portions are small and the English owners are cold and could care a less and my impression was they are all about collecting the money. Bob Evens or Cracker Barrel are way better. This is the third time giving this a try. I am a small business supporter but they are not small business owners. Food horrible and unfriendly. read more

This was my first visit. I use to come to this space 2 times a week when it was a different breakfast/lunch place. Staff was friendly and fast. Food was fresh and tasty. I did not get a pic bc once it hit the table, I got distracted and started eating. I gave it 4 stars bc I need to go back a few times to see if it a five stars.
