Some friends and I decided to get brunch this Sunday. We decided on Eggs R Us. As soon as we walked in we saw a packed diner. The waitress offered to seat us but told us up front that they had a few call offs and were really behind. We were in no hurry so we were seated and took our time to chat and hang aht. 0ur drink orders were filled and then we put our order in about 15 min after the last person in our party arrived. Each of us ordered something different. I ordered the Western omelet and it was fricken delicious. The ham is thick slices of what tastes like Christmas ham. The eggs were fluffy and perfect. And the veggies tasted fresh and cooked just right. I am a huge fan of the home fries at ERU. And once again, they did not disappoint. We had a long wait, but it seemed like the entire restaurant was sympathetic to the staff who was busting their asses to pick up the slack caused by the call offs. There were people who didn't want to wait, but they weren't assholes about it, and I credit the very apologetic server who communicated to everyone what they were up against. 0ur food was great. We used to live so close and so we would order breakfast takeout from there at least once a week...and the food is so consistently yummy! We moved to Pleasant Hills recently and are in search of a place that compares...so far, no such luck. YUM! I accidentally ran upon this place when a coworker of mine & I were in a rush for lunch. We were gonna hit the pub in the strip mall, but I saw this at the last minute and we went to the diner instead. I am so glad we did. I've only ever gotten the omelet but I have no problem with that either. For like $6-7 you get this HUGE omelet filled with meats and vegetables and cheeses. You can get additional meats & cheeses for extra cost, but you get that plus potatoes and toast. It's absolutely ridiculous. And so damn good. I'm usually full through dinner when I eat there for lunch. My friend once ordered the french toast with bacon and that looked delicious as well. In fact, I tasted the bacon - crispy! They don't deliver but they do call ahead orders and take out. Since whenever I'm in Pittsburgh I'm at a local hotel eating reheated food, I might have to start taking this place up on that. I visited this place because my boyfriends father saw an ad on TV for it. Immediately I thought, Eggs R Us from TV? This sounds odd. It was semi difficult to find because it is located in a strip mall. The place was fairly busy but we helped a server put together two tables and sat down right away. Pretty good for a Saturday am. I couldn't help but watch the kitchen as I was facing them and they were all moving rather quickly. As I watched plates come out my first thought was, I wonder if those potatoes are bulk frozen potatoes? That's never a good thought when you are about to order. I decided to go for the breakfast burrito because that was what everyone here on Yelp recommended. I had no idea the thing would be as big as my head. Holy crap! I literally ate 1/4 of it. It was alright, nothing to write home about. Service was okay, dinner was crowded and small. The thing that bothered me about this place was what I saw going on as I waited for my food. The toast was being made in the masses. I wanted to snap a picture of the toast mountain that was forming at the bottom of the toast roller, but it was right next to the busy servers. We kept talking how we didn't have an appetite for toast because of their bulk pile of white bread that had formed. Then I noticed something that made me want to immediately leave the restaurant. Gross! They were cooking food and putting it in buckets!?! OMG are you serving animals? That's what putting food in buckets reminds me of. I really hope that bucket food was something that burnt and wasn't being used. I never got to confirm. After reading Darren W's review, I think thats how they cook and serve food. Come on, guys! Disgusting. I will not go back. I think I'll stick to places like Cafe Davio, where I know the food is homemade, and not served in bucket bulk. Gross. read more

This breakfast place doesn't get the attention like some of the others in the area, but it consistently serves up a tasty diner-style breakfast. It's usually bustling inside and crowded as you might expect, but a great menu. I usually get eggs with a meat but when I went this week, I saw and smelled pancakes coming of the grill and wanted to smother my face in them. Maybe when I'm not counting carbs? Anyway, I like this neighborhood place especially if I'm having a breakfast craving and don't want to search for street parking as with some of the other local options. read more

My wife and I have loved this place ever since we moved to Crafton over 5 years ago. It is the picture of a greasy spoon diner. Counter and table service. Big portions and decent prices. The waitresses have always been friendly and the owner/cook is nice as well. This place gets packed on the weekends, so be prepared to wait a little while at the door, but it's worth it! The Omelettes and Big Breakfast Burrito seem to be favorites of all the customers as well as myself. The home fried potatoes are a must side for any breakfast. read more

This place is horrible. First and foremost, the main cook DOES NOT WEAR A MASK (review was done during COVID when cases were on the raise). They have the worst online ordering service and worst customer service. My order and the gentlemen in front me order was delayed an extra HOUR!!! They did not want to do anything to help us out and just shrugged their shoulders and walked away. Do not do an online order because it will not be ready when it says it will be and you have to jump through hoops to get your money back. Very disappointed. We had to wait over an hour for our food. We watched people take their food to go because it took so long. One person paid when the food was ordered and walked out after waiting 40+ minutes without the food. There is a freezer at the front door. While we were waiting, I noticed most of the ingredients are precooked, prepackaged, and frozen. Frozen bag of onions, peppers, crumble sausage, sausage patties, etc. Their French toast is just a thick toast that they put on the griddle for a minute. Since ALL the food is prepped, there was no acceptable reason for the long wait. Hopefully this small family business will be successful. They definitely need teamwork. Best of luck!!! My family went to this place at the suggestion of a friend who frequents the place. I'm a huge fan of hole in the wall diners, so I figured it would be good. It was mediocre. The selection is really small, and the food is pretty plain. What really freaked me out was the interior. Our booth was bouncy, and felt like the springs were going to come right through! The decor was extremely dated, and it looked like everything could use a little scrub and some updating. Negative: The place is tiny and was jam packed not one seat open except at the counter behind the cooks. Was interesting watching their fast pace though and realizing although I love to cook I could never handle working a position like that. Non-stop, bam, bam, bam, pushing food out. Very loud inside. My husband and I came here for the first time two weeks ago for breakfast. We love trying new diners and I'm not sure how we've never heard of this place. It was wonderful! Eggs R' Us was easy to find and we had no problems with parking. It was a true diner...you can see all the action. The place was not very big, but there was never a wait (even for a Saturday!) and steady flow of people coming and going. Our waitress was OK. Attentive, but a younger girl who seemed like she'd rather be doing something else. My husband ordered the Breakfast Burrito. According to him, it was "really good and cheesy." It came with sour cream and salsa. I had the Breakfast Tour (two eggs, choice of two meats: bacon, ham, hot or sweet sausage, one pancake, and Italian toast). I've always figured that those places with signs claiming that they were voted the best of whatever area were a good sign that you find something good inside. This place proved that wrong. I saw signs all over the windows making grand promises, even behind a huge pile of garbage on the sidewalk. I thought that must be a temporary condition and went inside. The place is filthy. Disgustingly so. Are used to find that acceptable in a place that was open for 24 hours and hopping all of the time. But this place is almost empty, and closed for 16 hours a day. Certainly enough time to straighten up the counter and run a mop across the floor. The menu looked OK, but the only thing really outstanding was that the prices were about 30% higher than its competitors. You think with the high prices the quality would be up. Again, you'd be wrong. The post was good but I was given an end cut it was about as big as my finger. The bacon was pre-cooked sometime within the last week and then reheated and reconstituted to the consistency of a used dress shield. I took one bite, it didn't taste any better. A couple of basic eggs and frozen, toaster type, hashbrowns and you can see that this place is really reaching for the bottom. read more

The food is tasty, when you can get it. The biggest issue I have is they are never consistent. One day you call to place an order and they decide you have to pay cash, no cards. Okay, fine. Then you call again to place a large order for your business (which they advertise they deliver to businesses) only to be put on "hold" (hand covering phone) as they discuss whether they deliver or not anymore. The answer is no, if you are curious. This is irritating because we order from there often, and when we do it's usually rather large orders. I'm visiting my girlfriends family and we decided to come to this local breakfast place. It was absolutely terrible. First off, you walk in and you look to your left and see the grill and it was filthy. We continued to walk in and we sat at the booth located all the way in the back and we were able to see the kitchen. Dishes were piled as high as we could see. We just said whatever and we proceeded to order our food and when we got it, it definitely wasn't worth what we paid for.
