Boil Fry Egg Peri Peri Sandwich
Kritika S.

So thrilled to have an east coast favorite in NorCal! We tried the boiled fry with cheese on top and the peri peri sandwich. The service was quick and the staff was incredibly friendly. The food was fantastic! We were impressed by the quality and flavors.

Tasty flavors, unique textures. The paneer sandwich is very good, masala omelette was full of flavor. The leela lasun kheema was delicious but had a slightly bitter aftertaste, probably from the loads of garlic. Overall, solid spot, will definitely come back. The service was friendly and fairly quick. The eating area is casual and clean.

We love this place and I hope they are here to stay in Sunnyvale! This review is for a recent DoorDash order, but we've dined in a couple of times already and were already impressed with all the dishes we tried. Last time we dined here, our overall impression was - a food truck with a lot of heart. Great attention to detail in presentation, menu curation, quick, friendly service, and clean as a whistle. This time we tried their Peri Peri Egg sandwich, Chicken Kheema Pav, and Egg Pulav. All of these items were great. The Peri Peri Egg sandwich tastes like a good old Egg Salad sandwich went to India on a tourist visa and decided to stay there for good LOL. The bell peppers and the peri peri spice along with the mayo give it a unique taste. The egg pulao was fantastic - street style pulav (tawa pulao) with protein - can't complain. The kheema pav is stand-out. Minced chicken in a dryish curry that you have with bread. I'll go ahead and say it's one of the best chicken kheema pav I've had in the Bay Area. Definitely recommend this place. If you want to get a taste of some unique Indian street style food - popular in Indian cities like Surat and Mumbai, look no further than Eggmania!

So good! We came here based on the great reviews and we weren't disappointed. While they have more than just eggs, with the name Eggmania we decided to order all egg dishes. We shared a jetty roll (egg-coated tortilla filled with masala boiled eggs and cheese), peri peri egg sandwich (chili flavor), and egg katori (masala deviled eggs with cheese). Everything tasted delicious! The items had some heat to them, but we enjoyed the spice. The sandwich came with a bag of chips. We also tried drinks, and both were tasty and refreshing: shikanji (a refreshing spiced lime drink) and masala chaas (spiced buttermilk). The truck is parked in what looks like a semi-permanent space. There are a few tables to dine at and even a handful of games to play. Friendly service and the order was prepared relatively quickly (we went Sunday around 1pm: not too busy). We look forward to returning and trying more items!

Eggmania is located in a very unassuming parking lot but I loved the vibes and the plentiful of outdoor seating! I was intrigued when I saw that they served dubai chocolate sandwich. It was alright-- it was very rich in chocolate pistachio flavor, but I wish the kunafa was crispy instead of soft. The sandwich itself was crunchy though. We also got the chicken peri peri which was tangy sandwiched between two crunchy slices of bread. To top it off, we got the roti which was thin and flat like tortilla, very unlike other southeastern roti I've had (those are usually flaky). I wish there was a dip that came with this roti. I will be back to try the egg dishes next time, after all it's called EggMania!

Got the chicken pedi peri sandwich, it was surely delicious! But when you order the pic shows four pieces of sandwiches but I received only half of it. I don't have my Togo order picture , but adding the picture provided on ordering page. I only received two here .

Stopped by for a date night without the kids on a random weekday. Very lovely setup with the little up igloo tent thingy and the cute colorful tables with games and deco. Food was good too! Tried the Peri Peri egg sandwich and the volcano biryani. Sandwich was great, with a good spice, and volcano biryani was interesting with a medley of eggs in different form lol. It was very different from anything else we've eaten outside. Service was good too, very friendly staff with a great welcoming smile. Overall vibe is good. Will return with kids one day!

I would hate to write a poor review because of their choice of packaging. The rating is only for the food. But, they use black plastic packaging which is known to be toxic especially when hot sauce based dishes come in contact with it. I asked them about it and the lady helping me seemed to acknowledge my concerns. I hope they take the feedback seriously and consider eco friendly and non toxic packaging, I am sure customers would be willing to bear the up charge. Now onto the food. We got the peri peri sandwich on their recommendation. The sandwich came with a chips packet and some sauce sachets on the side. The sandwich was made with three slices of bread and cut up in the middle. My family shared this and we were all in consensus that it was extremely salty. They used a spice blend to amp up the heat and it just felt rawish and unfinished. I would have maybe liked to try the kheema lasun which was also recommended. I hope to go back once they change their packaging.

Wow! I found Eggmania through a Yelp email blast featuring "Hot New Restaurants Near You". Eggs are my favorite protein and in our family we love Indian restaurants of all types and geographies. I'd been meaning to try a similarly egg-themed Indian restaurant in San Jose, but the Eggmania menu jumped out at me for all its egg-centric sandwich, wrap, rice, and curry options. For my first visit, I tried the Egg Peri Peri sandwich and the Egg Masala sandwich by going splitsies with my 14 y.o. son. We asked to dial back the spice level a bit, yet both, especially the Egg Peri Peri, still had a decent kick. Between the two, we both preferred the Egg Masala, which seemed to feature the egg more and was actually pretty darn awesome. I also grabbed a mango lassi for the road which is always a fave as well. The Eggmania setup is also interesting. Prateek, one of the owners, took my order. He has a tech job by day and moonlights at Eggmania. Eggmania is a franchise that started in New Jersey and now also has locations in Ontario (Canada), Massachusetts, Pennsylania, Maryland, Virginia, Georgia and Texas. Prateek's local Eggmania operates out of a vacant lot with a food truck trailer, which only recently moved to this location. They are starting with the truck but I see a beautiful brick and mortar restaurant space in their future. Plus their setup with shade, seating and even fun board games, is pretty sweet. Prateek was really friendly, his passion for food and his business was unmistakable and I'm really rooting for him and his partners. Plus this isn't charity- like their story, their food is awesome.

Wanted to try this place from a while. Finally got a chance to try on Wednesday evening. We were the only ones there at 5pm and wasn't sure if place was open. Ordered lasun keema based on the recommendation, owner did mention it will be spicy. And it had a lot of masala's and tasted well, but my system couldn't take a lot of it. Paneer sandwich was good to offset the spices. Masala half fry was decent, but was too oily for my taste

Eggmania is a popular food truck in Sunnyvale, specializing in Indian street-style, egg themed dishes. It's located near other food trucks in the area (Everest Momo) and is close by the Indian grocery store, Apni Mandi. This business accepts Apple Pay as well. The owners are super nice and involved with their customer base. They were having a game night collaboration with owners of desi created board game group as a way to engage the community. The creators of the board games advertised and encouraged customers to play Desi Feud (a twist on family feud) and Raja Manthri Chor Siphai. Additionally, the food truck was well decorated and relatively neat inside. There's a few tables to eat on outdoors but are mostly used to play board games as well. Parking in the area is relatively easy as there's many lots nearby the food truck too. The food itself was flavorful and packed with heat. We ordered 2 popular dishes which were highly recommended by the owner and the chili guava beverage. The egg peri peri sandwich was an 8/10 - it was pressed well, there was a good ratio of filling to bread, and the flavor was balanced with the eggs. The Leela Lasun Keema wasn't my favorite but it is highly rated. The shredded egg curry was spicy, served with 3 buttery slices of toasted white walmart bread - I'd rate it a 5.5/10. The chili guava drink was refreshing and is comparable to hajmola flavored pani puri water. You get a free salted brownie bite by reviewing on Google/Yelp and 10% off your next order if you follow them on Insta. Overall, the vibe was good and was a great one-time experience in Sunnyvale since it was a little expensive for a food truck/the quantity of food. I'd recommend it to someone looking for an after work bite with their co-workers or someone new to the Bay Area looking to make desi friends.

Tried this place on a hot sunny day and the wait for 10-15 min is worth, the food (masala omelette and Bombay grill sandwich- egg masala). The masala omelette is really tasty and hit the proper indian street food flavor, for less spice eaters, the egg masala sandwich is a must try one. I usually eat spicy but want to try the less spice one just to get that experience of blend in spices in the egg masala. Parking is very hard to find, I think evenings it gets packed as they live music and lot board games around to hang out with friends.

They had other choices on the menu, but my kind was already set on a burrito. I went with the pastor (marinated pork) and the wifey went with carne asada (beef). A few minutes later, we had the burritos in hand. Also got 3 small containers of various salsa: red, green and a creamy orange. The last was my favorite. We split half-half, so both of us got to try both meats. The pastor was hands down the winner for me. It was soooo flavorful. Didn't really even need the salsa but adding a bit gave it another layer of flavor. I also happened to have some avocados and put a few slices in my burrito, which elevated it to another level if I do say so myself They accept cash or card but cash is a bit cheaper. They take card, but there's an up-charge for it. The order: Super Burrito (asada) $12: I'm not playing on the price, check the photos. Delicious burrito that was a nice size and excellent price point. The tortilla tasted so nicely toasted and had a crisp at the edges. Along with your choice of meat, the burrito has Spanish rice, avocado, onions, salsa, beans. What else do you need? The length was almost my entire forearm, might have been actually. I was also given two sauces: a cilantro green sauce and (chipotle maybe) a red sauce. I did not receive the orange sauce mentioned in other reviews. Remember to request what you'd like. The second time I went, they gave me red sauce and orange sauce. Minus 1 star because of slightly inconsistent quality. When I went the second time, the fillings were still great, but ratio was different than the first time. It made the burrito taste different, no crispiness. Still good, but seemed more like a mid burrito I wouldn't have been raving about. BUT I did go right before closing compared to right after opening, which I can understand could make a difference.

The best of the bunch was the dahi batata puri, but it still didn't quite hit the spot. It was definitely on the sweeter side and I felt like the dahi/yogurt wasn't as creamy as I prefer. The chinese bhel was okay, but didn't have much flavor. Lastly the ragda pattice had so much potential. The flavor was there, but it was insanely spicy- even as someone with a med/high spice tolerance. You could feel the burn traveling down to your stomach. Yesterday, I ordered a Vada Pav, Shalimar Egg Mughlai (on their recommendation from their list of egg dishes), and a Veg Frankie -- and honestly, none of it lived up to the hype(5 stars currently) or price point. Vada Pav: It was okay. The "mirchi" served alongside was literally a raw Thai green chili. Really? At least pan-fry it with some salt and oil to enhance the flavor. For over $10 with taxes, this was already pricier than better Vada Pavs you can get at places like Elco Drive, and yet it offered nothing exceptional. Frankie: This one made me genuinely angry. It was a soggy maida roll stuffed with the same aloo masala from the Vada Pav, plus a few sad shreds of cabbage. That's it. And they had the audacity to charge $12 for it. ($1.50 for cheese, lol I am glad we didn't add)This isn't a Frankie -- it's a lazy repackaged Vada Pav with no flavor or creativity. They threw in some pickled jalapeños on the side, which only added confusion. If you're running a fusion menu(well partially), at least mention it upfront instead of misleading customers. Egg Shalimar Mughlai: At $13, it was passable but still not impressive. The bun on the side was not toasted or anything. Better than the Frankie, but nothing I'd recommend or return for. I was so excited for trying this place but, overall, this place is overpriced, underwhelming, and frankly disappointing. If your Vada Pav and Frankie are practically identical, maybe inform customers before they order both. I wouldn't recommend Maya Kitchen -- save your time, appetite and money and go somewhere else.
