Ok I had to back the next week and get the salted egg yolk and it's so good! The bubble waffle was still fluffy with the just a touch of salted egg yolk flavour. Would recommend! Despite it being busy it takes about 5-7mins after order. Next time I'm looking forward to trying the durian.

Light fluffy bubble waffles located inside First Markham Place. This spot has been here for a while now and offers a variety of different flavoured bubble waffles and drinks. The wait times can take a couple minutes since they're so busy with all their orders. But once you order you get your number which gets displayed at their store front for pick up when you're ready. Opted for an original since it's a classic that you can't go wrong with. Was delicious, crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside and so fresh. Can't wait to try some more flavours here in the future!

A friend from New York recommended Eggette Hut and said she hasn't found anything better in NYC and LA. So of course I had to give it a try. My husband got durian (I'm not a fan of durian) and he loved it. I got the matcha one and it was delicious and not too sweet! I really want to try the salted egg yolk and brown sugar mochi next time. The egg waffle is cooked perfectly and the bags are designed to allow airflow so it doesn't get soggy too quickly. They only accept cash, WeChat pay, and EMT as payments.

I ordered the Matcha eggette! It was filled with matcha and had a very strong bitter matcha flavor. I was hoping for a sweeter taste!

Tasty egg waffles right at the entrance to First Markham Place. We got the strawberry yogurt flavor and it was just the right amount of sweetness. The outside was perfectly crispy and the inside was soft and full of substance. Do I dare say I liked the one here more than the ones I tried in HK?

There's a good reason this shop usually has a long line of customers! Eggette Hut does fantastic made to order bubble waffles for a sweet snack that doesn't break the bank. After trying their original and matcha bubble waffles, I think I'd still with the original. You just get to taste that waffle flavour in each light, airy, spongy piece better than the flavoured waffles. Also picked up an iced HK milk tea. This was on the sweeter side, but it still pairs nicely with the bubble waffles! Make sure to eat them ASAP for the perfect thin crispy exterior and warm waffle-sponge goodness

Came to get a treat while my husband and sister got their glasses. We all decided to try this place as we've had these waffles before but not from here. These were nice and airy but also crispy. Would love to try it with a flavoured filling next time!

Located inside First Markham Place at a corner near an exit of the mall. They offer a variety of different flavors for the filling. I've been here a few times and I would usually get their original egg waffle. It's super delicious. Crispy on the outside, soft and fluffy in the inside. You can add $4 to get a large drink from the menu which isn't bad.

I always pass by and attract by their storefront- clean and bright. Finally I ordered the seaweed pork floss and it was 4/5. The eggette is full of the seaweed pork floss which I really like it but I think it was not crispy enough. One thing to note: They only accept cash or e-transfer. I will definitely come back and try the other favours! :D

Feeling peckish and had a quick treat with their classic egg waffle. I like that they are made to order and comes piping hot. Even though it was very busy, they cranked through their orders quickly and it is only about a 15min wait. The egg waffle is soft and mildly sweet, while the bits in between are crisp and crunchy. I like the differences in texture the most. Will be more adventurous next time and try some of the Asian flavors.

I have been looking for some matcha Egg waffles and found it at this cute little place inside First Markham plaza. I was over the moon. The little bag was so pretty I wish I can save it for something else! You have to eat it as soon as they're done and my goodness did it hit the spot. The matcha was flavorful and it was crispy and crunchy on the outside but soft and gooey on the inside. We really enjoyed it! We didn't add any drinks since my purpose was just the egg waffles and I really wanted it in the matcha flavor so I am glad I found this little place!

Super zoomed in look, ate these too fast before other pictures were taken...

Part 4 of many in my series called eating though the GTA (Greater Toronto Area) TL/DR: Game changer! If you've never tried an egg waffle before this is the place you need to check out. Better than any place in LA, SF, and NYC in my opinion. Don't get the normal/traditional, get one that's filled because of their diverse collection of flavors. The service can be a little slow and they can go from not busy to swamped fast. They can answer any questions and offer suggestions if you really get stuck. It's not a dine in place so I can necessarily comment on the ambiance. However, the machines look clean and the egg waffles are prepared fresh. Fillings we tried: coconut, red bean, and durian. In order of our top choice: 1. If you're a fan of durian you must try the durian filled egg waffles. The egg waffle was crunchy on the outside, soft and pillowy on the inside, and each one filled with the perfect amount of durian. When enjoyed fresh, the durian is warm and is almost custard like. If you've never had durian, warning for many there is a pungent sulfur-like smell and the texture isn't enjoyed by everyone. This is NOT recommended to eat before/during a date or important social gathering. But if you're feeling adventurous or like durian you should get this! 5/5 2. The red bean filling is delicious. If you're a fan of Chinese/Japanese/Korean desserts with red beans you will enjoy this very much! The perfect balance of not too sweet regarding the red bean filling and the same texture as described above: crunchy on the outside and soft and pillowy on the inside. 5/5 3. The coconut filling was the least favorite of the 3 we ordered. I'm normally a big fan of coconut but I felt like it made the egg waffles really dry. It isn't bad by any means but I wouldn't get it again in the future. I'd rather try some of their other filling options 3/5 If you're a fan of egg waffles you need to give this location a try. I tried egg waffles at many other locations in the GTA and this is by far my favorite and the best.

With so many different egg waffle stores lately, Eggette Hut will always have a special place in my heart hahah. They are known for having filling in each of the bubbles. My go to flavour is coconut where there is a bit of coconut pudding in each bite. The salted egg yolk is pretty good as well. I tried the cream corn soup one and it was very... interesting. I think I definitely prefer the sweeter ones over savoury flavours! Overall the egg waffles are crispy on the outside and nice and pillowy on the inside. Out of all the times I get it, maybe only once or twice was the waffle slightly more cooked/burnt. Quality is consistently quite good unlike some other places. Did you know Eggette also provides catering for parties? I had them as one of my vendors for my wedding and guests loved it. The communication with Simon the owner was good and he replies very quickly. The quotes were very reasonable and they provide everything.

Total should have been 9$ however they charged me $10 not a big deal their tip or tax or maybe they didn't have change in cash. Black Sesame one came out crispy, matcha flavor wise wasn't too memorable. My friend wanted to order ice cream the lychee and ube was out. Settled for mango. They took time to decorate the ice cream apparently made in house. 3.98$ plus tax for 1 scoop. Price was decent they had some other deals such as original bubble waffle 1 for $4 or 2 for 6$. I keep coming back here because of their great service and the prices are really good. If you're craving for some dessert or even a drink I would highly recommend this place. You pass through a charming patio to enter, which was shaded nicely thanks to the size of the Shoppers building. Given the recent heatwave, we opted to sit indoors. We were greeted at the door and offered the choice between a two-person table tucked farther inside or a four-person table closer to other diners. We chose the smaller table for a bit more privacy and ease of conversation. Menus were provided right away, followed shortly by tap water. When our server checked in to ask about drinks, we let her know we were fine with just water. Later, when we were ready to order, she came promptly when we called her over. A standout moment: we ordered just one smoothie, and she kindly asked if we were sharing, then offered to split it into two cups without us even asking. A thoughtful and appreciated gesture. The Pineapple Banana Smoothie was a highlight. It was perfectly balanced between sweet and tart, and incredibly refreshing. My sister ordered the Halloumi Benedict. She noted that while the waffles leaned toward a sweeter flavor on their own, the combination of waffle, egg, and halloumi was well-balanced and worked beautifully together. The egg was jammy and spot-on in terms of taste, texture, and presentation. I had the Fully Loaded, which features a potato waffle topped with bacon bits, sour cream, chives, and cheese. It leaned a bit salty, but not overwhelmingly so, still quite enjoyable overall. I loved the potato waffle which has the slightly crispy edges but was soft to bite with a texture that resembled mash potatoes. As someone who isn't usually crazy about waffles, which was such a nice alternative. Each of our mains came with a side salad (lightly dressed and refreshing) and a choice of fruit salad, maple baked beans, or potato salad. We both chose the fruit salad, which was impressively varied with orange, grapefruit, watermelon, blueberry, blackberry, and banana. Note: Payment is cash or debit only.

The yuzu sauce was refreshing paired well with chicken. The dish came with a side of salad which helped balance out the heaviness of the fried chicken and mochi. We also ordered their pistachio souflle pancake and it was delectable. It was light, airy and fluffy. The pistachio sauce was creamy, nutty and aromatic without being too sweet. I also liked how it came with fruits on the side. I also ordered their hojicha latte, which was one of the best ones I've had. It was smooth, creamy, and had just the right amount of tea flavor. The milk foam had the perfect velvety texture and it came with a pretty latte art. Overall, I really enjoyed the brunch they offer here. It is a pretty simple cafe, so don't expect it to be all decked out because it's not those instagramable cafes. But the food were solid and it's a great option for a small group brunch as they don't have many tables and they don't have large tables at all (the best is to 4 people or less). Staff is very limited but it could be because we went on a Thursday and it wasn't busy. The portion was much bigger than we had expected for the Gochujang Chicken and Waffles, which was definitely the highlight of the entire meal because this is a DEFINITE MUST TRY for the sweet/savoury combo lovers out there (note: the chicken wasn't a large thigh or two like other brunch restaurants we have been to, but rather chunks of chicken that were perfectly tossed in the gochujang). It's extremely popular (always full) but the tables move quite quickly, so yes - while you most likely need to stay in line if you come during the weekends, you don't have to wait for long if you're on a cute brunch date for two. A few pros and cons about this place: Cons: 1) ordered the bulgogi benedict, and to be fair, it was not very impressive. While the English muffins underneath were toasted to perfection - crispy and soft, I was not impressed by the bulgogi/benedict. The thing about hollandaise sauce is that it's powerful, rich and creamy. What goes well with it needs to add another dimension of powerful flavour profiles, which is why it's usually paired with smoked proteins (smoked salmon, peameal bacon, pulled pork etc). While I love Bulgogi, it's usually sweet, refreshing that goes well with flavour neutral side such as plain rice (or bread, fries). When I had my Bennies, I could barely taste any of the bulgogi and it was a disappointment to me (it just tasted like an egg on an English muffin). 2) the size is quite small for its price (CAD 22). If you think the two bennies as one sandwich, it'd be a small English muffin. That's very pricy. Pros: 1) the "spicy" home fries were extremely well done. The flavour profiles were well delivered, with caramelized onions and pepper pieces mixed in. I had a great time enjoying them. 2) I enjoyed the drip coffee quite a bit. It was very fresh and the beans they used had a nice balance of acidity and bitterness. Very satisfying. 3) the service was superb. I really really appreciated my servers (Gabriella and Alan). They were extremely efficient while being attentive and friendly. I gauge that the servers are the primary reason why the restaurant, tho being extremely popular, still has a steady speed to move the lines and customers. Extremely impressive comparing to all other diners I've been to when it comes to service. Because of the servers and the home fries, I'd give it a four stars while the food/pricing need some works. I may come back sometime soon to try other items on the menu.
