Yummy!!! was my first time here yesterday. We came in around 1 ish and it was pretty empty, plenty of seating. My partner got the chorizo burrito and i got the arugula salad with avocado for an extra charge. The dressing for the salad was perfect and it was actually very filling! plenty of arugula and cherry tomatoes and red onion i believe. I've been to this location a couple times and the food is so good!! I always get the soft scramble on the brioche bun and it's soooo good. The side of fries is soooo delicious as well. I ate the egg bread dishes so fast and so good! So fresh! Delightful and delicious. No photos since I rode 25 miles on mountain bike around Chino de Mayo hills! I was Hangry and thirsty- this place hit all my worms dreams. Different yolks for different folks indeed. My friend ordered the fried egg over medium on a burger- the bread so soft and buttery too. I ordered the rib eye burrito with potatoes, avocados, and the green salsa comes with it too. Those wedge potato pieces inside remained crispy and textured! Amazing. Love love love the fresh green mild salsa that came on the side. I could drink that! Cashier lady super sweet and also brought our food to our table. Our buzzer light did not light since there were only 3 patrons inside the place on a Saturday afternoon at 2 pm. Ambience- quirky, BRIGHT lights- so you'll need your A game face- you can't hide the dirt uni- eyebrow here... the best music mix for this 80'z-90'z adult B-52's really made me feel like groove was in my heart. I've have eaten here several times and the food is DELICIOUS. The menu has a variety to pick from. The employees are always welcoming and helpful with any questions. I regret not taking pictures, but I go often enough I will include one the next time I'm there. So far, I've tried the bacon and also sausage breakfast sandwich. EggBred is so unique, I feel like. I don't think I've seen another place around me that serves their kind of egg sandwiches as fluffy as theirs are. I usually get their scramble me softly sandwich and either one of their loaded fries or the avocado toast. This location is in Placentia/Brea area so it wasn't as close to me as their Fullerton location. Love love love the sandwich. It comes super loaded with eggs and the flavors were amazing! The avocado toast was alright -- but I probably wouldn't order it again because the bread does get really soggy if you don't eat it right away. Overall a great spot for a quick breakfast pickup. read more

The service alone here deserves 10 stars. When I was ordering food, I blindly skipped over a kid's menu. I did not realize that they had one. So I ordered food for myself (I got the Asada loaded burrito) and I searched the menu for a couple of minutes to figure out what to buy for my young toddler. She is a very picky eater and just more recently has been interested in solids. I found that they have just a basic scrambled sandwich and when I told the person taking my order (I wish I got his name down to give him credit) that I wanted the sandwich for my toddler, and I wanted the eggs to be well done for her. He was very accommodating although it was suggested that the eggs be cooked soft served. He watched my toddler, pushed the food away and only eat the bread which was a Japanese milk bun and very delicious and later he approached my husband and gave him a small bucket of chicken nuggets for free. It was very kind of ham since apparently that was on the kids menu and we did not even notice it. My toddler enjoyed the chicken nuggets even more and we got to split the sandwich. I saw this place on Instagram and was super excited to try it. Typically Instagram places have not had the best reputation where the food looks better than it tastes. That was not the case here. The food looked beautiful and was absolutely delicious. Given the fact that I scarfed it down and did not wait to take a photo (story of my life). I will say that the portions are kind of small for the amount that you pay. The loaded burrito was about $17 and was only the size of my hand. It's very clear that this place focuses on quality of food rather than quantity which I very much appreciated and prefer over a bland butter filled breakfast burrito. Highly recommend! read more

The only reason I am giving this place two stars is for the food. As a group of 5 women, we were enjoying our breakfast there when the manager comes up to us and tells us that if other customers come in, we need to be quieter. We were not being overly loud or disruptive but simply enjoying catching up with each other and laughing. When this was said to us, there was literally no one else in there and hadn't been the entire time we were there so it seemed odd to approach us like complaints were made. Needless to say, it really put a damper on our reunion and we no longer felt like we could really enjoy ourselves without being told to quiet. So while the food was great, if you are a part of a mom group and looking to catch up with your friends, Polly's never told us to quiet. Or any place for that matter. Also, we weren't even that loud! The ribeye sandwich is good with the sweet soft brioche bun but honestly for close to $20 (tax+tips) I will not do it again. I haven't tried the chorizo burrito yet. This is the first time at this location. I even left a tip with my order. :( The potatoes weren't as good as the La Habra location. It tasted like it was sitting under a heat lamp for a while and didn't taste freshly made. Please have your staff double check with people when they are ordering. The staff also is always so helpful with all my dietary restrictions and always take time and consideration to my orders. The attention to detail to top notch and the quality of food is always consistent. Not to mention the restaurant itself is always tidy and welcoming! Went around 11:30am and it wasn't too crowded, it does get a bit busier around 12pm. I can't say how it is earlier around breakfast time as this was our first time here. Walked in and noticed a clean aesthetic and liked the colors. Menu is spread across three screens. I think for better readability, the screens could be bigger to allow for bigger font but that's just me. I loved all the different options as they all did look appetizing. We ended up getting the Smotherd LOADED Burrito - The Smothered Yard Pimp, LOADED Burrito - The Ribeye California, and the MIXED BERRY CHEESECAKE WAFFLE. All were VERY good. The MIXED BERRY CHEESECAKE WAFFLE, if you're a sweets person, was definitely a treat. Eat it with coffee to enhance the experience lol. LOADED Burrito - The Ribeye California was nothing special to be honest but definitely was still good. Eat it with the green salsa verde to make it even tastier. My favorite burrito out of those two was definitely LOADED Burrito - The Smothered Yard Pimp. In both burritos I noticed the potatoes and the textures of them were immaculate. But LOADED Burrito - The Smothered Yard Pimp's chicken inside was delicious. Definitely throw some cholula from the packets they have on to enhance the flavor profile even more. Pricing on the burritos for me, was a bit expensive, I do get that the ingredients are quality, and we did order from the "loaded" breakfast burritos. But still the experience was worth the price I would say. And the service was pretty good, we were asked if we had any questions when we were ordering. Been to the La Habra location many years ago and had a much better experience. Sadly, like many restaurants these days, they seem to be cutting back on portion sizes. When I saw soft-scrambled eggs I was excited because I love Gordon Ramsey's version. I ordered the soft scramble and added sausage. The eggs were pale looking and sad. I couldn't taste any butter. The sausage had too much rosemary and there were tough bits that I wasn't able to chew so I had to spit out. The staff were nice but the food was average for the price I paid. I did enjoy the potatoes. We also ordered biscuits and gravy. This was average at best and the poutine which was lacking gravy for the amount of potatoes that came with the order. Will I be back? Review/Complaint: We will not be back in this location; Imperial Hwy in Placentia. My family and I have been regular customers at Egg Bred (Imperial Highway - Placentia location) since it opened. We live in the area and have supported this location consistently -- ordering takeout weekly and dining in often. Unfortunately, after how we were treated by the manager/owner during a recent visit, we will no longer be returning. Our group ordered hot brewed coffee with our breakfast, only to be told when the food arrived that hot coffee wasn't available due to a broken machine. When we asked to speak with the manager, he came to our table visibly irritated and was immediately rude. I politely suggested they consider having a backup coffee maker -- especially since this is a breakfast-focused restaurant -- and he raised his voice, saying they don't have space for another machine. Instead of showing understanding or concern, he acted as if we were wrong for even bringing it up. When I asked to remove the coffee from our bill, he offered cold brew instead and made a point to tell us it's $7, as if we should be grateful for getting something more expensive. His tone and attitude made the situation far worse. We weren't asking for anything unreasonable -- just basic customer service and respect. Good food doesn't excuse bad customer service. The manager's rude and dismissive behavior lost him loyal customers. We won't be coming back, and I'll be telling friends and neighbors in the area to avoid this location. No one deserves to be treated like this when dining out. read more
