We had an amazing brunch experience at the new EggBred. My husband had the Bacon, Egg, & Cheese Breakfast Sandwich and I had the Sausage, Egg, & Cheese Breakfast Sandwich. Both were incredible fresh and the toasted milk bun was delicious! My sandwich boasted smoked paprika spread and roasted pepper chimichurri, while my husband's sandwich took it up a notch with smoked jalapeño ketchup. Service was next level as I over heard the front cashier making sure that each client felt like a VIP and ensuring they were satisfied with their experience. I'm excited to support another local family eatery here in Bakersfield and I can see that with their eye for excellence in service and quality, they'll be around for awhile. We drove across town to visit them at the Marketplace and if you haven't had a chance to try them out, stop in and say hi you won't regret it!
The food was absolutely delicious, I had something sweet and savory. 10/10! Bakersfield really needed something like this, so excited to keep trying new items. Service was absolutely incredible! Looking forward to more locally owned locations like this in town.
Fun new breakfast spot at the market place! We got the sandwich and the burrito and both were very hot and delicious. There is very little seating inside and the place was packed. A lot of online orders and pick ups. We waited about 20 mins for our food so that was not ideal. we also had the cold brew coffee which was fine.
I kept seeing this place pop up on my Instagram feed, so I had to try it for myself! I went on a Monday morning, and getting there was a little confusing. Google Maps took me to the Prime Sushi building behind the Vons. After driving around to the front, I finally spotted the restaurant--it's actually located in the old Starbucks space. The inside is small, clean, and cozy, making it a cute little spot for a casual breakfast or brunch. The service was too long for me, waited 30 mins for what I ordered, with only 4 customers ahead of me. But I understand since they are fairly new. I tried the Scramble Me Softly and the Arugula Salad. The toasted milk bun was definitely a highlight for me. I loved how it was toasted on the outside while still soft and fluffy on the inside. Combined with the fluffiness of the egg was a good contrast. The arugula salad was okay, but personally, I would have preferred a balsamic dressing instead of the lemon vinaigrette. Overall, will be going back to try the other items on their menu.
Stopped by here before going home to get breakfast. The place looks lively and staff were helpful. There is a kiosk where you can order your food as well. I got the pork sausage egg and cheese and I was surprised with the taste- i can taste the grilled sausage and some spiciness inside, i loved it! The only thing was the price with tax it came about $11 plus i think for the slightly medium sized sandwich with no drinks. Overall, I would love to go back and try the other sandwiches.
We were able to attend the grand opening here this morning and it was amazing. With any grand opening the lines are long and this was no different however, they got people through to the register very fast! The owners were outside greeting the patrons and were very nice. The people working the kitchen were operating like a well oiled machine, the staff taking orders were knowledgeable and super friendly. I had the Chorizo, Egg & Cheese sandwich and it was amazing! Overall it was an eggcellent experience and we will surely be back for many weekends to come!

I ordered a sandwich to go it was called scrambled me softly although it looked a bit messy and not aesthetically pleasing. It was very tasty. I couldn't finish all of it because I feel it was rich in flavor. Kind of like a cheesecake. You just can't get through the whole piece and it was about $11. Are the employees were super patient and really nice and I will go back to try other items. They are on door dash I believe I heard the pick up is to the left side of counter you can order with a cashier or on a kiosk as well.
Came here for the 2nd time. I had to see if this was for real. It was!!!! I got the Scramble Me Softly, the Waffle Berry, and the Chicken Hottie. They were all amazing. The service was good, the cashier could be a bit more aware when someone is ordering or struggling to decide. Overall it was a great outing. I'll be back to try more items. I would recommend EggBred
Excited for this addition to the neighborhood. Stopped by on a Monday morning and it was crowded - which is a good sign. I enjoyed the avocado toast with a soft poached egg. Seating inside is small and fills up fast. I was able to grab a table outside. Would like to see more seating put in outside to accommodate the demand, but I know that's a Marketplace issue, not the restaurant. I'll definitely be back soon to try more on the menu.
I love this new spot! The food is amazing!!! I ordered the Ribeye Steak and Egg sandwich with arugula instead of bread. The steak and the egg were both cooked to perfection. And there was so much flavor. And looking around everyone else's food looked so good too! I will definitely be back for the pastrami. The staff were all really nice and welcoming as well. I am completely in love with Eggbred! This is my new favorite breakfast spot!
I have to be totally honest, I didn't care too much for the food. It was pricey and honestly not that great. Just my opinion it's like they are trying to reinvent the wheel. I'd rather have a breakfast sandwich that's simple and tastes amazing, than one with all this extra stuff that just doesn't taste good. The service was friendly, waited for a while due to how busy the place was so I won't knock them for that. It was a family friendly affair with face painting for the kids, I'm assuming it was for the grand opening. There are a few outdoor tables to enjoy your food. I can only recommend this place as a try it for yourself, but my suggestion is make sure to read the menu on the item you are ordering. Like I said I could have done with all the extra stuff on my sandwich, that I really didn't care for.
Stopped in for lunch with my son. I ordered the breakfast poutine and he a country chicken (with egg on the side, he doesn't like eggs, irony is not lost on me). Staff was very courteous. Lots of fun egg puns adorn the walls. They even have a water station available. Everything is made to order, so it may be a few minutes to get your order. Eggs were cooked properly (poached, med over) chicken was crunchy and juicy! The poutine was pure comfort food! Even the pickles had a great zing. Portions are satisfying. The only knock is they are a little pricey. This will certainly be a special treat spot for us.
Everyone's reviews I've been seeing made us want to come in. Everything looked amazing. Place was very busy as I expected. It was very nicely decorated and clean for being busy. We were actually served by the female owner, she was very nice and informative. Really appreciate her letting us know what they were out of too. I ordered the country fried chicken sandwich. The textures and crunch made it amazing. Tried the California burrito w/ no egg since my fiancé is allergic. It was still very delicious with the green salsa. Our daughter got the avocado toast which she enjoyed as well and the presentation was packaged pretty nicely. We all got a side of fries which was amazingly seasoned and fried to perfection. Even though this place is a "brunch" place it's overall of good quality!

Finally gave Eggbread a try, and there were definitely some delicious highlights! I ordered the Truffle Crunch Burger, made with Angus beef, sharp cheddar, arugula, white truffle spread, crispy fried onions, and smoked jalapeño ketchup, all on a toasted milk bun. The truffle flavor was fantastic without being overpowering, and despite the jalapeño ketchup, the burger wasn't spicy at all! The only downside was the arugula. Since I ordered through DoorDash, it arrived soft and wilted, which wasn't great, but I definitely don't blame the restaurant for that. I actually think a little fig jam would take this burger to the next level! That sweet and savory combination would be amazing! The beer-battered potatoes were SO good! Crispy, flavorful, and tossed in their delicious house seasoning. Honestly, they might have been my favorite part of the meal! I also tried the fresh lemonade, which was just okay for me. It leaned more tart than sweet, and while it was refreshing, it didn't really wow me. Overall, Eggbread delivered some great flavors, especially with that truffle burger and those amazing potatoes! Great service, food was good and prices were go and not outrageous for a breakfast sandwich or burger or burrito. It was opening weekend so food took a little long but thats expected. Once they get the flow of things this will be a good quick service breakfast spot. I wish they had coffee but they only had juice and drinks in the fright by the counter where you order. read more

Absolutely delicious! Had the Build a Benny with ham and added bacon (my fav) and hubby had the breakfast burrito with bacon. OMG! We were very impressed and will definitely be back! Glad I ordered ahead, they were busy! read more

Must have! The food is so good my family asked for it 3 days in a row! My fave is the scramble me softly- the sauce tops it off and it's so filling. The inside is so cute and also modern feeling. Not sterile modern, but like fun and inviting modern. The staff always greet every customer when they walk in- they're also young energetic and bright eyed- even in the wee hours of the morning :) A bonus is you can download the app and order ahead! read more

Genuinely, one of the best breakfast sandwiches I've ever had. My husband and I ordered the Scramble Me Softly breakfast sandwich, got mine with bacon, no cheese. The expected wait time was 30-40 mins but we got our meal in 20. Despite being slightly busy, the vibe was chill and they were playing some bangers in the background (Gangnam Style). The owner even gave me a free small cup of the gravy to try!!! Such a great crew working there!!! Definitely my new favorite breakfast spot. read more
