We're basically regulars & we always ask for Tabi, she is extremely knowledgeable about the menu, even on substituting things that my wife & I are craving for. Today we saw the train conductor exchanging the train that circles around the restaurant, giving it its awesome interaction with looking around the room. It's really nice to see the different designs the train has during different seasons. Delicious breakfast/brunch here. The menu is huge and extensive and I had trouble deciding because everything looked so yummy. I ended up with the Key Largo crepe with eggs, bacon, turkey, and guacamole in a crepe. It was served with sour cream and salsa and was so big that I took half of it home for breakfast the next day. The banana nut muffins were incredible. I think they are made with molasses because they had that distinct flavor. My husband got a breakfast skillet that he said was delicious. He especially liked the seasoning on the potatoes. I wish they had Diet Coke instead of Coke Zero but no biggie. Yum yum yum! We came here for the Cincinnati chili li li...we first had it in Orlando a few years ago and this is the only joint that I know of that serves it up. Eggs Works is all over town, I first ate there at their Enterprise location in my younger days (not long ago..) and have never been disappointed, also at their flam/ft apache spot. They have a newspaper menu, that's fine the chooch can color on it and do what she pleases, oh wait they give you kids crayons if you have a little one...cool! Today while volunteering for the American Cancer Society's Road to Recovery program, I had a couple of hours to wait for my patient, so I joined a friend for breakfast at EggWorks in Summerlin. This is a smaller location compared to other EggWorks restaurants, but the experience was top-notch. You can feel it's a place for locals, great ambiance. The staff greeted us at the entrance and we were seated right away. Our server, Tabitha, was friendly and attentive from the start. I ordered coffee with their caramel macchiato creamer, honestly, one of my favorite things about this place! For my meal, I got the classic: two fried eggs with seasoned potatoes and crispy bacon. Holy crap! They have Cincinnati chili and it is legit! Freaking incredible! We got the "5 way" which is spaghetti, chili (not traditional chili but better), cheese, onions, kidney beans and crackers. First time here based on yelp reviews. Huge menu with lots of interesting choices. They have a value menu $13 or less and a 55 and over section. We opted to share the chili rellenos omelette. Glad we shared this 4 egg omelette. Was huge! Cane with their diced potatoes that are not spicy but has a chili flavor. Also go the banana muffin. Waitress said that new customers get a free muffin so we each got one plus our meal. Endless coffee came with a big carafe for easy serving yourself. Came here for breakfast, I got the works skillet without eggs and it was pretty good. I really liked the green hot sauce and the red hot sauce had a little bit of a kick to it. You can also buy the hot sauce. I got the banana nut muffin instead of the toast and they serve it warm, it was very moist. This fabulous amazing cafe is in my neighborhood and I can't believe I have been living right down the street and had not been here. It's a quaint place and during our early Sunday morning visit on Sunday 7/13 it was quiet. We had a wonderful server Samara who was friendly and efficient. Food arrived hot and quick. Samara refilled our coffees and was very great about timing and not making us feel rushed. The menu is HUGE!!! Decided to try this location out for breakfast on a Friday morning. I was amazed by the plethora of options on the menu. We ordered the Mexican omelette with Spanish rice and biscuits and gravy, half order of strawberry cream cheese stuffed French toast, the classic breakfast. The wait wasn't too long for the food. Once the food came out, the portions were really big. The Mexican omelette was nicely seasoned with the chorizo, peppers, salsa filled with so much flavor. I'm glad I added the Spanish rice which balanced out the flavors of the omelette. I highly recommend this option. The biscuit and gravy is was on point as well, with very soft biscuit and adequate consistency of the gravy. Lastly, the strawberry cream cheese stuffed French toast consisted for of soft toast and sliced strawberries throughout with the cream filling. It wasn't too sweet at all and did not require any syrup. Overall, this breakfast spot is definitely the place to consider for breakfast restaurants around vegas with plenty of locations throughout. No empathy or sympathy from the manager....just gave me the matter of the fact "we're busy and behind"...only apologized as I made my turn to leave. It would have been better if the order was cancelled right away and would have saved me the time and effort of making my way here. In the meantime, as I am writing this, the site itself is still allowing for online orders to be placed and I am watching more walk-ins make their way in with no one being turned away? I really guess my order really wasn't as important as theirs. P.s. The food is normally solid here and the service is always good & friendly, this isn't a knock on them at all....but the way my situation was handled was piss poor. This was our favorite breakfast place for about 30 years. They have a very nice broad range of options, that are as tasty as they look. Not long ago, the prices went up a tad. Fair as most did post pandemic and we were still receiving fair value. Recently they started adding a charge for using a card to pay and they've now taken away a great consumer incentive program & business booster in the Epoxy app. The sign up option via their website for discounts, never gave me one. Pretty Good! Location: This Egg Works location is in a lot with other businesses but is very spacious. Parking: There is plenty of parking available in the lot where the restaurant is. It is in a shared lot with other businesses but parking was not an issue. Ambiance/Decor: Cute and fun! I felt like I was in the South having a good old fashioned breakfast. I love the cute toy train they had running above the tables on the ceiling. Food/Beverages: So good! We ordered the Grandma's Biscuits and Gravy and the Stuffed French Toast! On the downside, I did find it very odd that they did not offer Almond Milk or Oat Milk. When we asked the server if they had Almond Milk, she seemed confused as if she had never heard of Almond Milk before and told us no and that they only had whole milk. Service: The service was mediocre. I felt that our server had so many tables to tend to that she just kind of did the bare minimum in order to serve the tables she had. There was nothing spectacular about the service we received. Honestly, the food runner who gave us our food seemed like he would have been a much better server than who we had. The cashier was nice as well. Additional thing to note: You are charged differently if you pay with cash vs a card. That is something that should be communicated before you are seated and not a surprise extra charge when it is time to pay for your meal. You are charged a little bit extra if you pay with a card. Overall: Overall, the meal was good enough to give Egg Works a second try to see what else is delicious on the menu but it doesn't have me wanting to run back anytime soon based on the service and full first time experience overall.
