We were leaving the DMV & hungry for bfast so I just looked up somewhere close by that was serving breakfast. I had the meat omelette with bacon, sausage, and cheddar cheese with potatoes and my guest had the eggs Benedict with the hashbrowns. Both of us literally finished our meals. We had clean plates as evidence, lol. Our server was efficient and friendly and there was a quiet atmosphere so it was perfect early breakfast meal. The establishment is a small mom and pop type restaurant unassumingly good. We are definitely found a new place to go and I've already spread the word. I look forward to coming back for that same. I hope the Chef is the same. It was probably one of the better breakfast I've had in years as a biggest local. read more

I had an early appointment and decided to stop in at Norman 's for breakfast on the way home. I had been there when it was Norm's Eggs Café a bit north of the current place. The name is now NORMan's. I'm wondering if it was changed because of the company from LA that opened a restaurant in Las Vegas, Regardless, who can resist the best eggs Benedict? I was told to sit anywhere I wanted when I went in, It's a small place, sort of like a neighborhood place. I was brought coffee immediately and it was very welcome. After looking over th menu, I decided to go wirth the classic eggs Benedict. There was a choice of home fries or hash browns. I went with the home fries. While waiting, my coffee cup was refilled. Breakfast arrived. The Benedict was good but not the best I've had. The eggs were poached a bit too long but it was OK. There was a thin slice of Canadian bacon on each muffin half. The home fries needed to be browned more for my taste, All in all, breakfast was OK. read more

Sweet little diner located across from Desert Breeze on Durango. Family owned and run. Fairly large parking area within this strip mall, and the restaurant has indoor/outdoor seating. We were seated right away and the menu is fairly robust- food breakfast options and interesting lunch fare. We opted for chocolate chip pancakes, biscuits and gravy, and a meat lovers omelette. They serve sodas in the can or bottle. Food came out quite quickly and tasted good! The only issue was no refills on our waters through the whole time we were there. That's kind of weird to me, but no refills means no refills I guess. We would try them again because they do boast having the best eggs benny, and you know your girl loves an eggs benny!!! read more

I've passed this place often and decided to check it out. It's your typical diner feel with all the local paraphernalia hanging up. Norm was actually there and it was impressive that he knew his customers orders and how they liked their various dishes. We ordered two pancake meals and the portions were huge. I gave a 5 star because of the friendliness and good food and still reasonable compared to other places with similar menus. There's also a past. Elvis Presley loved Norms chopped sirloin steak. Norm was a chef at the Hilton back in the day when that encounter happened long ago. Check out the great food, place, and Elvis history. Great diner food. I had the Oxtail Stew. It was absolutely some of the best oxtail stew I have ever had. And the price was unbelievable. It was only 16.95. I would have given it 5 stars but the rice they served with it must have been minute rice. It was a type of rice that I have never tasted, and I am an Asian. It was awful. I wanted to love Norman's Diner so much. It is locally owned, and I always try to support them more than the chains. For a small location, they have a decent menu. My husband and I both tried the fish and chips. Not the best version as the fish was over breaded. French fries were fine. Why just two stars? I hate giving less than five stars. But our service was not up to par. Forgot to bring the cole slaw included with both meals. We had to ask for tartar sauce, malt vinegar and ketchup. It was difficult to get his attention to get a single drink refill. As a former server, I noticed it was not that busy. It will be a while, but I will give this place another try. read more

Hey Yelpers!!! So I saw this place in an IG post and wanted to come check it out. It's a small place tucked I tot eh corner of a strip mall. They do a great job of attracting attention with flag banners in the front of the location. Parking is easy. They have inside and patio seating if the weather is right. Inside is cozy with some classic R&B and retro music playing over the TVs. They have a variety of coffee options, featuring Lavazza coffee. I'll post some pics of the interior. They promote their Benedict breakfasts here. They have a nice variety of breakfast and lunch options. I went with the crab cake Bennie and the wife ordered the lemon ricotta pancakes. The crab cakes were outstanding, about the size of a hockey puck and a nice helping of crab meat inside. The hollandaise was well prepared also. They also have their own "Red Dragon" hot sauce that is so delicious. I put some on my home fries along with. Little ketchup and they were delicious. The pancakes were light and fluffy with great bursts of lemon ricotta flavor inside. As for the service... Our server, Devonte, was very friendly and attentive. This is truly a locals place, with the regulars and owner hanging out talking. It doesn't have a feeling of being exclusive, though. We felt welcomed and enjoyed being here. I'd come back for sure and wouldn't hesitate to order the crab cake bennie again! Come give Norman's a try! read more

Well, we waited for a server to come over, and she tried to take are order but forgot her pad and she wrote it on her hand. Very unprofessional. Waited and waited for coffee only to be told later she was making a fresh pot. You should tell me right away not so my friend has to flag you down. Never asked if our meals were okay. Steak was very tough, couldn't cut it and no flavor but tasted old. Didn't eat it and wasn't asked if I wanted something else. The couple next to us had the same problem gave him a new knife and he still couldn't cut it. Ruined his appetite as it did mine. First time there and most likely the last. read more

Food was horrible. Apparently one can screw up a patty melt. The meat as 35% cooked?!? I had to microwave the melt for 7 minutes to cook the meat. My wife and I have been going here to Norm's little diner since 2019 and his charming restaurant. There is a much bigger and corporate-owned California restaurant chain by the same name that has been bullying Norm over the name of his restaurant since 2021 and is now opening a restaurant here in town and is trying to put Norm out of business for good. 3945 S Durango is where you can find the real Norm's Diner, with Norm at the griddle making your breakfast himself. Enjoyed a delicious solo breakfast on their comfy patio this morning with my Golden Retriever and the service was great from the moment I peeked in to let the staff know we were there. Had the Classic Eggs Benedict, add spinach and tomato (for a very small, fair upcharge) and the homestyle potatoes, orange juice and coffee (also fantastic). And... as always... THE greatest condiment on Earth, the secret recipe mildly spicy green sauce. OMG... I could eat that stuff straight! SO good. This review is long overdue... NORMans is a gem! We enjoyed our late breakfast very much. Cozy diner atmosphere with the nicest waitstaff. DH had a lovely steak and eggs while I enjoyed a crab Benedict. Modest crabby patty just the right amount of crab, perfectly poached eggs and light sauce. The photo shows one, I already demolished the other one by the time I thought to take a photo sorry. Loved their country potatoes- grilled not deep fried. Little one had the grilled cheese and fries kids meal and he practically inhaled it all. This is our new favorite breakfast place now. I have been to Norman's diner twice now. The first experience was fantastic. And today's was even better. First off, the outdoor seating has one of the best views of the strip you'll find in town. You can see from the Stratosphere to the Mandalay Bay. The service from Norman, Anna, and Devonte was fantastic. We were not the easiest table to serve, but they got our orders right, they got everything out to the right people, and they allowed us to separate the check into three different checks. I ordered the grilled shrimp Benedict with avocado, and it was the best Benedict I've ever had. My son got the blueberry pancakes, sausage gravy, with grits. It was absolutely fantastic. I can't wait to go back. And I can't State how critical it is for us to support a local business like Norman's. The carpetbagger Norm's diner came in from california, after Norman's had been here 15 years servicing people locally. Providing jobs. This place is amazing. I'm from Hawaii and breakfast has to have rice which lots of breakfast places do not offer. They have some classic favorites like ribeye and eggs(yum! Best steak btw) but they also offer some local favorites. A unique diner with a mix of classic breakfast menu items like eggs Benedict, local Hawaiian flavors like loco moco, Asian mix including their own homemade sauces and many more options. Finally yummy mimosas, a variety of drinks including Lavazza latte and coffee that set them apart from other diners that serve burnt drip coffee. The place is small but has outdoor space, once the weather cooperates. I love Eggs Benedict and the sign claimed best in las Vegas. They were correct. My wife had bagel and lox's. My husband and I have visited twice, first for breakfast 7:15am,don't remember what my husband had, but I know he enjoyed it, I hadn't had Chilaquiles in a long time so I ordered that, very very good even had leftovers, had them for lunch (still delish), next we went for lunch(few days later, we ate on patio because we were accompanied by our twins (pups) my husband ordered a cheese burger with extra patty, yikes it was huge he enjoyed the whole burger and fries, I ordered Liver and Onions OMG, SO DELICIOUS a large tender piece with lots of carmelized onions and delicious mashed potatoes and crunchy green beans (I let the twins have a taste of liver they agreed, mom it was delicious) no leftovers this time, I ate the whole meal !!
