What a find. So good to get off the strip, get away from the overpriced, overwhelming food. Found this place at five stars or nearly there with nearly 2000 reviews and it was worth the drive. We had a larger group, and they worked with us on getting us in. Staff was super attentive and friendly and made sure our drinks were always full, rot more jam if we asked for it, walked us through a few substitutions, and suggestions. Darned everything sounded good, went with the eggs Benedict. Super flavorful, the sauce was a little more similar to almost like a cheese sauce, a little thicker, but fantastic. Bacon was unbelievably delicious. The ham was almost like a quarter inch thick across the 2 eggs. Definitely a filling meal. Everything felt homemade and fresh. Everyone at our table left super happy. My only two little knocks, but I'm still giving it five stars. One, they ran out of hash browns, but in truth we were coming closer to noon than breakfast, so that's to be expected. I was a little underwhelmed by the biscuits and gravy. I don't know that I would get that again, but would 100% get everything else again. Inside, it definitely had like this old time diner's feel. I came across Lou's Diner when I was looking for a place to have a nice breakfast. We arrived early on a weekday morning and were promptly greeted and seated. First, this place feels very homey and is a clean, welcoming, no-frills restaurant. The menu is vast while offering many options for lite eaters to those with a hearty appetite and any meal of the day. We stayed with the breakfast menu and I ordered the two eggs, crispy bacon, rye toast, and grits while my other half had the Belgian Waffle, two eggs, and crispy bacon. We were also served a variety of homemade jams and crackers. The jams were so delicious that I left with three jars. Our server Amy is an energetic, no fuss girl who made sure our coffee cups were always filled and happily answered my jam and dessert questions. I had read ahead of time that they have homemade pies and made sure I had room after breakfast to enjoy one. We ordered the rhubarb strawberry pie ala mode and loved it. My only regret is that there is no place where I live that serves this pie. I want to also acknowledge that there was another girl walking around to make sure the drinks were always filled. Have not been here for a while because it's so amazing here that sometimes it's hard to get in. Luckily we got in quickly and the food did not disappoint. You sit down and they have so many workers, you are never neglected. Drinks, refills, anything you need, you get it. They bring you crackers with 3 homemade jams while you wait for your food and they are yummy. You can buy their jams and they are awesome. I decided to try the Pastrami Burger and oh it was good. The pastrami was tender and seasoned well and was just amazing on its own but to add the burger, it's excellent. This hole in the wall was a hidden gem. I had some of the best breakfast in Vegas at this place, everything was cooked to perfection and the employees seemed to all work as a team. My server was Pickles and he was awesome and knew his job very well and made ordering easy. Was visiting Vegas from Los Angeles for my birthday weekend and really wanted a down home diner for one of the mornings. I have known of Lou's Diner for quite some time because it has been open since 1969 and is quite famous in Vegas. As you would guess it's mostly known for breakfast and lunch and they have a huge menu filled with all sorts of American diner classics. There is also a large free parking lot attached in front and we only had to wait about 10 minutes for a Saturday breakfast for a party of two. Inside is quite large and they have many different types of seating options from booths to tables. Our server was extremely polite and everything that we ordered came out very fast. When you sit down, they bring over some complementary crackers and homemade jam and the jam was some of the best that I've had a very long time. I especially liked the raspberry and strawberry. For my breakfast, I chose the Chili Cheese Omelette and added chorizo and avocado and absolutely loved it. It had great flavors and everything about it was just perfect. A little worried at first with the heat but they have a swamp cooler outside and have the area covered so it wasn't bad at all. They first greet you with some of their homemade jams and crackers before greeting and taking your drink order. Our waitress (Julie) was kind to switch out are plate of jams due to a food allergy. Started out with a coffee and water however next time I would love to try their giant hot chocolate, it looked amazing. My husband ordered the Huevos Rancheros and I ordered the veggie omelette. Huevos Rancheros came with beans, hash browns and flour tortillas. The veggie omelette had a choice of hash browns or home-fries with toast. They were out of home fries but the hash browns were great. We also ordered a single pancake. They didn't have the option on the menu at least from what we saw but our waitress made it happen. During our entire time coffee, water was always filled and we were checked on multiple times. Both the Huevos Rancheros and the veggie omelette were great, as well as the pancake. However, now let's talk about their jams! I absolutely loved their strawberry and berry jam! Very flavorful and not too sweet. Prices were very reasonable. Two coffees, pancake, Huevos Rancheros and Veggie Omelette was 40 bucks. I highly recommend this spot and when you're there check out their wall of mugs that regulars get to keep there. read more

As soon as we were seated someone came up and asked us if we needed coffee and water. Not only that, our waitress brought us out a little appetizer, plate of crackers and their homemade jam. What a great way to show off the jams and jellies they have. It worked, I bought two jars to bring home! Do not sleep on these because they are so worth it. I had the chicken fried steak, and my girlfriend had the pigs in a blanket. Very good portion sizes and this was one of the thickest chicken fried steaks I have ever had. It had the perfect amount of Crest on it, and the gravy was off. The chart. Came the toast and home fries, and they were all delicious and perfectly seasoned. The pigs in a blanket were amazing, and the sausage is inside. Had just the slightest bit of kick to it so it was a pleasant surprise when you bit into it One thing we got to witness was this girl who was obviously new being trained by your manager. We got to listen in and see instructed her in how to do things, and watch her live those out in real time. It gives me hope for the future when I see restaurant management taking the time to really teach people how to be with customers and how to create that amazing experience. And this is one place we will definitely be going back to. If you are looking for a HomeTown diner vibe, you could do no better in the Las Vegas area, then Lulu's diner. They have outside seating, and their table turnover is pretty quick, so if there's a line don't freak out, because you will be seated relatively quickly. Let me just say. We've been going to different diners to try in Vegas and this one was truly impressive. EST. 1960 off Decatur don't let the location fool you. As you walk up you are greeted and ask how many in your party. There is a waiting area outside. It's summer here in Vegas and at 930 am 93° but the had a portable AC outside as we waited. And this diner was packed. Waited less than 4 minutes. As you go inside everything was a throwback for the yesteryears. So many photos and nicknacks. And for the regulars they have BYOM Wall. Bring your own mug wall. One of Lou's most cherished traditions. On your next visit, leave your favorite mug in our care and they'll be sure to have it clean and ready for your next visit. Super cute! The one thing that makes Lou's stand out is their homemade items from Freshly made Jams, pies, cakes. As you sit down and look over the meal they starts with drinks and samples of the jams with crackers. Truly delicious. And they are also sold along with desserts. I came with a party of 4 and as we always order different you will see from your basic breakfast "Me" haha to those that go out of the box. Their breakfast was amazing hands down. We went on Memorial Day around 10 am, of course we already expected a wait. We only waited like 20 minutes, wasn't bad. The host he gave me bubbles to play with, felt like a kid again! We were seated at the bar area, greeted and took our order by a nice female (forgot her name) I ordered one biscuit and gravy with a side egg, bacon and sourdough bread. My boyfriend ordered the eggs Benedict, unfortunately the egg was fully cooked and he was bummed cause he likes the egg runny. But he still enjoyed his food.
