Visiting from CA and absolutely loved this breakfast/brunch spot. Check in and wait outside for a table. A little worried at first with the heat but they have a swamp cooler outside and have the area covered so it wasn't bad at all. Everyone was very welcoming and inside is your traditional diner setup only this spot made you feel like you're part of the family. They first greet you with some of their homemade jams and crackers before greeting and taking your drink order. Our waitress (Julie) was kind to switch out are plate of jams due to a food allergy. Started out with a coffee and water however next time I would love to try their giant hot chocolate, it looked amazing. My husband ordered the Huevos Rancheros and I ordered the veggie omelette. Huevos Rancheros came with beans, hash browns and flour tortillas. The veggie omelette had a choice of hash browns or home-fries with toast. They were out of home fries but the hash browns were great. We also ordered a single pancake. They didn't have the option on the menu at least from what we saw but our waitress made it happen. During our entire time coffee, water was always filled and we were checked on multiple times. Both the Huevos Rancheros and the veggie omelette were great, as well as the pancake. However, now let's talk about their jams! I absolutely loved their strawberry and berry jam! Very flavorful and not too sweet. Prices were very reasonable. The counter was a perfect spot because it made us feel like we were in a movie diner back in the 50's. I got the Curtis haystack and it was amazing! You sit down and they have so many workers, you are never neglected. Drinks, refills, anything you need, you get it. Julie was on top of it and got us everything we needed quickly and correctly. This place is super cute and the food is all fresh and good quality. There was a wait outside to get in but they had a huge AC unit set up to blow cold air into their outdoor waiting area and offered drinks to help everyone stay comfortable. The menu is huge and has a little bit of everything. The grilled cheese was really good. The bread was soft and fluffy and the cheese was a great combo. This hole in the wall was a hidden gem. I had some of the best breakfast in Vegas at this place, everything was cooked to perfection and the employees seemed to all work as a team. My server was Pickles and he was awesome and knew his job very well and made ordering easy. The place isn't but so big but they have a hostess outside of the entrance which helps the spot not get overcrowded. As you walk up you are greeted and ask how many in your party. There is a waiting area outside. It's summer here in Vegas and at 930 am 93° but the had a portable AC outside as we waited. And this diner was packed. Waited less than 4 minutes. As you go inside everything was a throwback for the yesteryears. So many photos and nicknacks. And for the regulars they have BYOM Wall. Bring your own mug wall. One of Lou's most cherished traditions. On your next visit, leave your favorite mug in our care and they'll be sure to have it clean and ready for your next visit. Super cute! The one thing that makes Lou's stand out is their homemade items from Freshly made Jams, pies, cakes. As you sit down and look over the meal they starts with drinks and samples of the jams with crackers. Truly delicious. And they are also sold along with desserts. I came with a party of 4 and as we always order different you will see from your basic breakfast "Me" haha to those that go out of the box. Their breakfast was amazing hands down. From a 1 out of 5 I give it a 5 without a doubt. Our waitress was Andrea and was great. She answered all questions and steadily came to check on us. And before you go the bathrooms are a must! We love Lou's Diner. Hadn't been there since we moved to our new house 4 years ago. As we expected, super busy for breakfast on this first day memorial day weekend. It's a very popular place with great food and wonderful people. The place was loud with Conversations but I was able to hear the good music they play. Happy customer! I'm a big diner fan and this one right here is going to my top 3 favorite. Shannon our waitress and Corey and the front host were so welcoming and badass. Very personable people which made the experience unique. The food is so delicious I got an item from the secret menu and my husband got the egg and sausage plate. They offered us their homemade jams to try and I ended up buying 3 of their jams. The place was very well kept we sat in the counter to see how the show is run. Was visiting Vegas from Los Angeles for my birthday weekend and really wanted a down home diner for one of the mornings. I have known of Lou's Diner for quite some time because it has been open since 1969 and is quite famous in Vegas. As you would guess it's mostly known for breakfast and lunch and they have a huge menu filled with all sorts of American diner classics. There is also a large free parking lot attached in front and we only had to wait about 10 minutes for a Saturday breakfast for a party of two. Inside is quite large and they have many different types of seating options from booths to tables. Our server was extremely polite and everything that we ordered came out very fast. When you sit down, they bring over some complementary crackers and homemade jam and the jam was some of the best that I've had a very long time. I especially liked the raspberry and strawberry. For my breakfast, I chose the Chili Cheese Omelette and added chorizo and avocado and absolutely loved it. It had great flavors and everything about it was just perfect. I would highly recommend to anyone visiting or living in Vegas for a great casual breakfast option. read more

We went on Memorial Day around 10 am, of course we already expected a wait. We only waited like 20 minutes, wasn't bad. The host he gave me bubbles to play with, felt like a kid again! We were seated at the bar area, greeted and took our order by a nice female (forgot her name) I ordered one biscuit and gravy with a side egg, bacon and sourdough bread. My boyfriend ordered the eggs Benedict, unfortunately the egg was fully cooked and he was bummed cause he likes the egg runny. But he still enjoyed his food. We were willing to sit at the counter, so we only had to wait about 10 minutes of the 30 minute wait estimate. Lou's Diner is a classic with great friendly service and an amazing diner ambiance. The food is generally very good, although my hash browns tasted a little "old" this time around. The coffee in, in my opinion, a 5/10. It has coffee flavor, but still tastes quite diluted. From the moment you walk in, you are greeted and treated like you are family. That makes all the difference in the world when there are so many great eating choices in the area. As soon as we were seated someone came up and asked us if we needed coffee and water. Not only that, our waitress brought us out a little appetizer, plate of crackers and their homemade jam. What a great way to show off the jams and jellies they have. It worked, I bought two jars to bring home! Do not sleep on these because they are so worth it. I had the chicken fried steak, and my girlfriend had the pigs in a blanket. Very good portion sizes and this was one of the thickest chicken fried steaks I have ever had. It had the perfect amount of Crest on it, and the gravy was off. The chart. Came the toast and home fries, and they were all delicious and perfectly seasoned. The pigs in a blanket were amazing, and the sausage is inside. Had just the slightest bit of kick to it so it was a pleasant surprise when you bit into it One thing we got to witness was this girl who was obviously new being trained by your manager. We got to listen in and see instructed her in how to do things, and watch her live those out in real time. It gives me hope for the future when I see restaurant management taking the time to really teach people how to be with customers and how to create that amazing experience. And this is one place we will definitely be going back to. If you are looking for a HomeTown diner vibe, you could do no better in the Las Vegas area, then Lulu's diner. They have outside seating, and their table turnover is pretty quick, so if there's a line don't freak out, because you will be seated relatively quickly. I highly recommend this place and you would be doing yourself a disservice to not visit it. read more

Good lord the food. They have a secret menu I highly advice you to look at. Scan the UR code at your table. Its hidden on the caddy display. Its worth looking at. I got the pastrami Ruben omelet from that menu. I didnt know i was missing something in life until I tried this omlete. This meal was insanely good. Packed full of pastrami, Swiss and sourkrout. It changed my life lolol also life changing.. the homemade Jams they give you.( And also sell in to go glass jars.) They have no preservatives in them and are a trip to flavor town. I used them on my grits. Straight amazing. The fried pickles set the bar high. They use THICK pickle slices not some skinny little pickle that withers away when fried. The batter they use on these pickle chips is tasty and light. Being able to bite into a pickle chip and actually have a juicey pickle slice inside put me in a food awe. Highly recommend you try this. Strawberry frech toast made me question if I ever really had French toast before. Nothing compares to this one. Try it all. You wont be upset. Worth the wait! Lou's diner is a really cool diner NW of the strip on Vegas. It was great to get off of the strip and get some real diner food. They have lots of funky decor on the walls, and the menu has a wide variety. The big highlight is the homemade jams that they serve with breakfast, they are worth the trip alone.
