Orange Chicken
Molli S.

Unassuming little place in a strip mall off of County Line and Quebec. The staff is extremely friendly, I often see them greeting folks as regulars. You really get a close neighborhood feel from them. It's a small interior, but quaint. We usually do takeout. The Chicken entrees are my go-to. The batter is light and crispy, and I never have an issue with soggy chicken! Today, the chicken was so fresh that is was still piping hot - perfection. The general chicken is my favorite sauce, but I like the orange as well. Though, my orange chicken has less sauce than usual would like, it was still delicious and I appreciated that they made sure nothing would soak up the moisture and get soggy - I don't need something drenched in sauce. The fried rice is good, flavorful, but it would be nice to have some eggs, scallions or veggies in it. Still flavorful and nice, regardless. We usually add on a vegetable egg roll or crab Rangoon to complete it! So overall, very happy with this location and I would go as far to say it's my favorite Chinese takeout in the area.

Located in a small strip mall, Egg Roll King is unpretentious. However, this establishment is doing things right. On a Saturday early evening, there was a steady flow of customers coming to dine in or to pick up orders. Service was helpful and prompt. The food was delicious and portion sizes were good. I had the Curry Fried Rice (prepared mildly spicy at my request), my wife had the Cashew Shrimp, and we shared the Vegetable Egg Roll appetizer.

Learned about this location through Tik Tok. The shrimp eggs rolls, chefs kiss. Ordered lunch special which came with entree, fried rice, egg roll, and a wonton. The food was ok. I prefer my wontons on sweeter side. Service was quick and food hot when it came out.

Had a great lunch here on Saturday. Fast, quick, friendly service. A robust menu of Asian dishes. I had the King Pao Triple Delight lunch special served with hot and sour soup, fried rice, and egg roll. The food was hot, fresh and very delicious. The combination of shrimp, chicken, beef and fresh vegetables was just perfect. Definitely coming back here for more.

We've been looking for good Chinese food in Colorado for 7 years and still haven't found it. It was ok, not great. I don't like the "egg rolls" in Colorado. These are actually spring rolls. Egg rolls have a much thicker crust. Lunch portion comes with soup, crab Rangoon and the "egg roll".

To go food order from Egg Roll King.

Their delivery is the quickest I've experienced yet. The food is always hot and sooo good. Haven't yet tried a bad item on the menu yet.

We have never had a bad meal at Egg Roll King. Good food, reasonably priced. The pan fried pork dumplings are delicious!

AWFUL...took 1 hour and 15 minutes for delivery and the teriyaki chicken was dry. Not thrilled with this choice.

I liked the people, the place, the menu, the location, but honestly I paid $30 for leftovers that I can't eat. It's a shame. I've never before seen anything this greasy. The owner came out to my car after I exited and asked why I didn't like it. While I respect that, he explained that what appeared as grease was instead, sauce, and that it was flash fried. The problem is that neither the sauce nor grease had taste or spice. When I placed several pieces of beef on a napkin, they saturated the napkin with oil. Maybe it's an oily sauce? They were generous with the beef. The beef quality was pretty good, and the vegetables were unique enough to merit praise. If it were me, I would ramp up the taste quotient in either the marinade or sauce, eliminate 90% of the oil, as it's unnecessary, and add spice. This could be a healthy dish if they used avocado oil, way less oil, and reduced the salt.

Tasted great! An appetizer order of fried shrimp was scrumptious. Orders of egg rolls and fried rice were satisfying too. And the prices make you appreciate ownership! Many places we have tried have the wrinkly ones, but the picture here did not look like that, and thankfully, I was correct! The wonton soup hit the spot and will definitely be the place I go for this when I'm sick in the future. We also got the general tao's chicken with fried rice, the stir fried rice noodles, and the crab cheese wontons. The crab cheese wontons had a sweetness to them, that we both really loved, honestly, these are probably my favorite crab cheese wontons I've ever had. The general tao's chicken, fried rice, and noodles were also good, but the stir fried rice noodles were our least favorite, they just seemed to be lacking a bit of flavor, but my husband also thought he was ordering lomein and not rice noodles, so that is also his bad. The portions were also huge and the price was phenomenal. Will definitely get take out from here again next time we're craving Chinese!

I am so glad that they are so consistent and have not changed recipes or adjusted seasonings. Ordered our two favorites - pickled pepper beef and mapo tofu. Then the string beans and a new dish - sauerkraut fish filet. The sauerkraut fish filet reminded me of the Vietnamese catfish soup but no sweetness added. Very good dish and will def order again. We ordered the fried tofu (with peppers and onions), orange chicken, fried fish fillet, and veggie delight (mixed veggies). The fried fish fillet was definitely the standout. Perfectly crispy on the outside with a light, tangy layer of sauce that added flavor without making it soggy. Easily my favorite dish of the meal. The fried tofu was also really solid and flavorful with just the right amount of spice. The peppers and onions complemented it well without overpowering the tofu itself. The orange chicken was okay. I tend to compare orange chicken to Panda Express (probably unfair, but it's my benchmark), and this one didn't quite hit that same balance of crispiness and sauce. I think if it had a bit more meat within each piece, would be better. The mixed vegetables were decent but not something I'd order again. They felt a bit drenched in sauce and didn't have much depth in flavor. One of the highlights of the visit was meeting an elderly woman who helps out when it gets busy. She mentioned she was the former owner. She was incredibly kind, and we ended up having a really nice conversation in Mandarin. That personal touch made the experience even more memorable. Otherwise, really nice venue with lots of space and tables. Waiters always refilled my water, which is a good plus. Also gave me fresh rice when I took the leftovers to go. Overall, a solid meal with a couple standout dishes. I'd definitely come back for the fried fish fillet and tofu. Will be back to try their other dishes.
