I got the chicken panang curry and it was pretty good. The sauce was pretty mild and there were fresh veggies and basil which was nice but the chicken was a strange, rubbery texture. The cheese wonton was very good but the egg roll was disappointing, greasy and old. That one went straight to the trash after the first bite. Kind of strange that a place called the "Egg Roll King" doesn't have good egg rolls.. The most disappointing thing was the Godzilla Roll. It just wasn't good. We really enjoy the excellent food here & to go is especially impressive. You can find fancier establishment/places, but the Chinese food is very, very good. Ugh.... got the Vietnamese vermicelli noodle bowl and soft spring rolls... Positives: Large portions... Negatives: No taste at whatsoever; fish sauce could have been water as far as I'm concerned. In the noodle bowl, there were no diced cucumbers or lettuce, the noodles were served hot, and chicken had no seasoning at all. They use super cheap ingredients for the spring rolls. Frozen shrimp and ice burg lettuce with large pieces of cucumber. Peanut sauce was super thick and reminded me of peanut butter. Needless to say, I was starving so I ate some of it, but I will never order from here again and I don't advise anyone else to either. read more

This delicious little bistro was located just down the streets from our hotel, and, out of perhaps morbid curiosity, I wanted to discover the cure for aids. So, I boarded my razor scooter and went to the closest Chinese restaurant (at this time it was a well established myth that the Chinese food product cured venereal diseases). I've been going to egg roll king for over 30, YES, 30 years! The food is consistent and to share a review of what a Korean gentleman friend said about egg roll king, it is "the bomb". It doesn't look like a typical Chinese restaurant but like a fast food place, which it is not! I adore their moo shoo pork and their appetizers! The pan fried dumplings are awesome! Frankly, I can't think of anything I've gotten that wasn't! ! Their service is great, I've never seen it not spotless, delivery isn't fast but consistent and they typically send some egg rolls or something "extra" when getting a delivery, food is always hot and well packed! Their soups r over the moon! I honestly can't understand these poor reviews, it isn't PF Chang's so if u want that kind of food, go there but if u want consistent good Chinese, this is the place! DON'T DO IT! !!! Are these people kidding me? I have been as loyal customer for about 2 years. Food has always been worth the price. I don't know what happened but I ordered food for the family tonight. OMG! I completely understand that things happen. I am a restaurant owner as well. I called to say that the food tonight was different then I normally receive. The first gentleman I spoke with handed me off to a woman without even letting me know. I just wanted to let them know that the food was different and not as good as normal. Something was wrong with the chicken lo mein. I called to tell them that things weren't like they should be. TDON'T DO IThey explained to me that their food is different than everyone elses. I explained that I ordered from them many many many times over the last 2 years. They told me that I could get a refund if I wanted to bring everything back. I had the food delivered to my house. I asked do I have to go or can you bring me my money. They said are you going to tip the driver? I said I already did. Which I did generously. They told me if I return the food I could get my money back. I did so I have packed all the food and I am waiting for the driver to arrive. I also included a piece of Domino's Pizza that was left over from the other night. I hope that the $30 dinner was worth the loss of a customer and the ranting that will go on online. I mean are these people serious? read more

Worst food of my life. Our office ordered from them and they got three orders wrong. We called to replace the food which was not cooked properly and they had no idea the difference between stir fry and deep fry! I have tried this place a few times and it hasn't disappointed me yet. I have always gotten carry-out or delivery so I really can't speak for the dining experience. I like most of the food I have eaten and think the owners are nice people. Last time, I ordered the Kung Pao Shrimp dinner with fried rice (no up-charge) which included one piece of each of the following items: an eggroll, a dumpling and a crab cheese wonton. It also included a good size choice of soup in which I chose the egg drop soup. Everything was excellent and the portions were large enough to enjoy another meal at a later time. Egg Roll King was a great experience for a small authentic place. Their food was exceptional and everything made on site. The Orange Chicken and Sesame Chicken was fresh, crispy, and melts in your mouth. The fried rice was very good too. The Egg rolls are the thin style and hand made in their kitxhen. I think the most positive thing I can say about the meal was that my dogs adored it. The whole meal was very bland and tasteless. I ordered a spicy dish, there was no spice in it at all. Every time I'm in town I visit king egg roll. They have the best general tso's chicken I have had anywhere. Everything tastes like it's made from scratch. To start; this place is fast. I'm talking ninja speeds. I drive a lot for work and I'm always looking for a quality quick bite when I only have a short break between jobs. I don't want to spend a lot and want something I can have for leftovers. That being said I was really pleasantly surprised when I called and said I would be five minutes and arrived in three and left within four. Nice. However I was then concerned at what the quality might be as it was so speedy. I ordered the Kung Pao chicken and an order of wontons (I never order Chinese without wontons.) I figured because it was the lunch hour they probably had a lot ready to come out so perhaps it wasn't too odd it was ready quickly. The online mobile ordering doesn't say what the lunch includes but it seems to be very plain fried rice and an egg roll and wonton. The wontons aren't wonderful and I've certainly had worse but for the 6$ price point they should have been much better. I could have been persuaded to like them more but there was only a single packet of pretty lousy hot mustard to accompany my treats; and I had asked the cashier if I could have three or so got mustards and she said there were lots in the bag (lies!) the egg roll was pretty delicious though. It was a light flaky veggie roll. I prefer the thick batter kind but it was really yummy none the less. I really really loved the fried rice; it was extremely plain in lacking veggies but it had just the perfect amount of egg. I love great very plain fried rice. Unfortunately here again I complain about the lack of sauce. I ran out of sweet and sour after 2 wontons and my egg roll. I guess that was okay because I was saving the rest of my wontons and I have sauce at home. But I was faced with my ultimate least favorite thing about take out Chinese: one packet of soy sauce. I hate that. I can't do anything with it. Anyways; I'll eat more of my rice later with more soy sauce and my wontons. The chicken was really good also. The chicken was good quality and the veggies were nice and fresh. The sauce was excellent and really flavorful, but it lacked the spice I was hoping for. Overall I was pretty pleased with the portions, cost and quality. And I have never had Chinese so fast that was so tasty. If I'm in the area again craving Chinese I will certainly go back, but skip the wonton app and take the freebie in the lunch special. read more
