The chicken adobo here is tender, fall-off-the-bone perfection, but the real star is the sauce. It's the most flavorful adobo sauce I've ever had--rich, garlicky, with just the right balance of soy sauce and vinegar, plus a slight sweetness that I absolutely loved. You'll be craving it long after your meal, and trust me, it will bring you back for more. But that's not all! We also tried their Shrimp Kalabasa, and it was just as incredible. The shrimp were plump and juicy, the kalabasa (pumpkin) was soft and naturally sweet, and the green beans added the perfect crunch. The sauce tied everything together beautifully, making every bite comforting and satisfying. Despite the humble appearance of this restaurant in the Food Court, the chef here is top-rate--every dish is packed with bold, authentic flavors that stand out. Service was warm and welcoming, making us feel right at home. Next time, I'm definitely trying their sisig--if it's anything like the dishes I had, I already know it's going to be amazing!

Although this place is one of several choices in this food hall, and in the local are, I literally make a special point to battle the DMV traffic and pick up a meal there anytime I'm in town. The service is quick and the food is delicious - spice levels appropriately scaled, the quantity of protein in the dish was generous for the portion size, the temperature was hot (not unbearable) and held its heat for decent amount of time while consuming this deliciousness. The vibe of the food hall varies by the day. Some days the tv's by the bar are showing sports games, other nights there may be trivia, and once there was a cool dj. We only order the spicy version, and it has the perfect kick that stays with you without just burning your tongue off. Even the fries held their ground because they were perfectly seasoned and didn't get soggy on the drive home. Service was surprisingly on point. I have seen reviews complaining about long waits, but they got my entire order out in under 10 minutes, which is impressive for how busy they looked. Just two quick warnings so you don't mess up like I did. First, the 12 piece bucket automatically comes with two big gravies. I visited Egg Karne today for breakfast, and it was an absolutely delightful experience. The restaurant itself is spacious and inviting, with a beautiful view overlooking the golf course. The ambiance was perfect, with great music playing that added to the enjoyable atmosphere. My server, Ana, was incredibly attentive, knowledgeable, and friendly. She made sure we had everything I needed and provided excellent recommendations. Her warm hospitality really elevated the dining experience. As for the food, it was simply outstanding. I ordered the Adobo Pork Belly Egg and Cheese Bowl, and it was an explosion of flavors in every bite. The pork belly was cooked to perfection, tender and bursting with the rich adobo seasoning. The eggs were perfectly prepared, and the combination of flavors was truly delightful. The coffee was also top-notch, rich and aromatic, complementing the meal perfectly. Overall, Egg Karne exceeded my expectations in every way. The spacious setting, attentive service from Ana, delicious food, and great coffee made for a truly memorable breakfast. Surprised that of all locations, this place was on a golf course so don't think you missed an exit somewhere as you pull into the parking lot. For a Filipino fusion place, EK has a variety of menu options that put a good modern twist to classic Filipino dishes as well as serving traditional food. My favorite was the Longanisa Silog Breakfast Bowl - the longanisa was cooked well and the garlic fried rice had a good ratio balance between the garlic and the rice, tasted like how my relatives in the Philippines would make it! The Ube Waffle was good and not overly sweet. It was different seeing ube in a waffle form when it's usually served as a drink or as ice cream for dessert. Lastly, the Arroz Caldo Balls tasted just like the original soup form and a great representation of Filipino fusion. read more

The Filipino cuisine at this golf course restaurant has some appealing elements, although other options nearby may be more satisfying. The Longanisa sandwich and the Silog were both enjoyable and met expectations. However, the ube waffle could benefit from more moisture and a stronger ube flavor. A standout item was the Spam Fries, which were crispy and made with less salty Spam--a delightful treat. While the restaurant does not serve coffee drinks, a selection of canned beverages, spirits, and beers is available. The atmosphere is clean and welcoming, with TVs and a pleasant golf course view. read more

A quick review of EK's social media convinced me to try the Ube Waffles but, upon arrival, I ended up going with one of their signature egg sandwiches. After much internal debate I went with the longanisa- a type of Filipino sausage I had not tried previously. The fluffy brioche bun sandwiched longanisa, cheese, and a perfectly cooked egg along with Karne sauce- not sure what makes up Karne sauce but it's delicious! I also got the lumpia because lumpia. Every time we've attempted to eat here on a reservation, they've had issues. Never set up and ready to seat us. Never prepared upon opening... and it's never busy when they first open which is why we always go early. But, they are NEVER ready to seat us. What's the use of making a reservation a week in advance if you're not going to be ready to seat the party nor accommodate the request? How would you like to find out at the last minute that they're going to split up your party at two different tables on two different sides of the restaurant because they weren't prepared when you gave them a week's notice via reservation? The food isn't that good to have to keep going through the challenge of being seated every time we make a reservation for a group. They're really pricey, too.
