My husband and I have finally found our BA breakfast spot! It's a little out of our way, but it's worth the drive. We had no idea this place even existed until I saw Elite Yelper Cindy's review - thanks Cindy!! :) The staff has been friendly every visit, even though the place is always packed and they're running around in 10 different directions. The food comes out hot and fresh, and my husband's coffee cup stays full. I love that they leave a pitcher of water on your table - it cuts down on my complaints about not getting a refill lol. I've tried a few different things here, and enjoyed most everything. My only complaint really is that they don't have very many healthy options. No turkey bacon, all of the meat is pork or fried chicken. Just my personal preference, so if you love pork with your breakfast this is the place for you. They have a build your own skillet option that comes with a base of home fries and 3 eggs any style - you can customize that with veggies and turkey to keep it slightly healthier. I recommend the Oklahoma burrito or the Aunt Dee waffle. There are also plenty of healthier choices available. Everything is always really fresh and flavorful. This is not a chain - woo hoo! We had a great breakfast at great prices. We are from out of town and notice that things are less expensive in OK but this place is reasonable by any standards. The menu was so varied and interesting that it was hard to decide but finally I ordered the avocado omelet. Mmmm. They have salsa but it is not very spicy. However, the spicy peach sauce that is a specialty of the house was a hit with my guys. Everything was great. The service was just what you want to see at breakfast. Our waitress smiled, was pleasant, accommodating, and kept the coffee coming. She was lovely. She even brought my grand niece some cut up grapes - no charge. Now that is service and she genuinely cared enough that she did such a nice thing for the little one. What a disappointment. Waited 20 minutes to be seated on a Sunday with high expectations. Ordered a Philly cheese steak omelette. The steak was like eating rubber, there was hardly any cheese and zero flavor in the omelette. Was also literally bathed in oil. The hash browns that came with the omelette tasted stale. Being new to Tulsa I was driving in the area visiting my insurance guy and I noticed a little cafe that seemed really cool! boy am I glad that I stopped! I read the reviews here on yelp and realized that this place was breakfast heaven! As we were seated we were greeted by a cheery gal who cheerfully asked us if we were ready to order. The menu was filled with every breakfast item that you could imagine! Awful manager/owner!!!!! Was stunned by the rude manager/owner today. Had The Godfather omelet. It was not well made and had almost no mozzarella cheese, but I ate what I could, ate the potatoes and English muffin and asked to see the manager just to discuss. I was not even asking for a discount. My previous visit - which was my first - had been great. He didn't let me even finish talking. He got visibly angry, yanked the plate off the table and said he disagreed but wouldn't make me pay. Wow what a reaction. I had just wanted to talk, inform him. I made preparations to leave and my friend tried to pay for her meal. He is wouldn't let her pay and was behaving in a very passive aggressive manner to her. Very sad. She really liked this place. On my way out I told him I thought it rude that he wouldn't let me finish my conversation with him. He asked me not to come back because he wouldn't serve me. He was rude even as I walked out the door. I was calm and polite and he was so rude and vocal about it. He followed me out to continue his awful comments. Wow! I have never been treated this way by a manager! So disrespectful and rude. I will never spend another dime there. I will also spread the word about his behavior. This was not ok. We were in town on a Sunday and thought this place sounded interesting. When we got there (11am on a Sunday) there was a line of folks waiting to get in. The hostess told us it would be about a 15 minute wait. We got in in 5 minutes! The menu had so many good options that it took us a while to order. Many omelets, basic breakfasts and some creative dishes. I got the Big Boy and it was really good. My wife enjoyed hers as well. Coffee was also really good for a joint like this. Best part was the price. I know why it was crowded. Great food, great price, a recipe for success. I called my sister who lives in BA and told her she needed to go. The service is top notch and the food is consistently very good! There is always a wait, about 15-30 min but it is worth it. We don't typically wait but will for them. The wait staff remember you and will often remember what you order if order the same thing. They do not seem to have a big turn over in staff, which says a lot. Three Sunday mornings in a row found me bringing my family back to this outstanding restaurant. The menu has all the old stand-bys and an awesome array of different and unusual selections. This place was definitely a hidden gem! When looked up brunch places, this one had good reviews, so we decided to try it. It is tucked away in a shopping center and you would probably miss it if you weren't trying to find it. Even at 1:00 on a Sunday, it was full of people.
