I've been coming to egg Harbor for over 15 years and I still love it. It's absolutely one of my favorite places to eat. This location is always clean and has good service. I'm never disappointed. read more

First, Egg Harbor is now located at 208 S. Hale in downtown Wheaton. I have visited the restaurant several times and each is better than the last. Recently my company moved to downtown Wheaton. From the very beginning (even prior to the move!) Egg Harbor in Wheaton jumped at any chance to serve us. They have gone above and beyond, catering breakfasts, lunches, delivery orders, and most recently, an amazing Thanksgiving dinner for our 400 employees! Not only do they provide food of exceptional quality, their friendly, personal service leaves no detail unthought-of. No request is too big or too small for Egg Harbor in Wheaton and I would recommend them to anyone looking for a great meal, from a single sandwich to an event for several hundred. To Gary, Shari, Doug, and everyone else that has made our experience with Egg Harbor in Wheaton so positive, THANK YOU! We couldn't ask for more! read more

Walker Bros. Pancake house still powns all breakfast places in terms of food and service--especially this one. Now, the food is tasty, but the service could be better. I can expect a breakfast place to be busy on a Sunday morning and I can expect a manager to be busy, but I also expect to be seated regardless of the fact that the other person in my party is running late. After a 15 minute wait with a buzzer that had not even been turned on, the restau manager summoned me for my table. When I told him that I was waiting on another person, he said, "Well that's not good," and started to motion to make me wait again. I told him that the other person was 5 minutes behind me, and then he said, "Oh, well I guess that's okay." WTF? None of the restaurants--not even the ultra trendy ones in the city--have even entertained the notion of putting me back in the waiting line to wait another 15-20 minutes. It would have also been nice if the waiter had told me that the special contained bacon and was topped with an egg sunnyside up. Has anyone at this restaurant ever heard of dietary restrictions and/or food allergies? As much as I love bacon/as magical as it is, it does awful things to my stomach, so I don't eat it. Sunnyside up eggs are also nasty. Would I go again? Sure, but only if the management doesn't have a problem with seating me/if the waiter tells me what is going to be in my food. In the meantime, I'll stick with Ann Sather, Toast, and Walker Bros. read more

Yum!!!!!!!!! The Crepes were awesome. I ordered one with avocado and my friend ordered one with fruit and we shared. Perfect!

The Egg Harbor Cafe within Wheaton is perhaps one of the BEST places to go for breakfast and/or lunch! Their food is PHENOMINAL, the menu is quite varied and their service is simply OUTSTANDING! It's such a popular place that my employer caters in Egg Harbor at least twice a month for lunch. A few months ago I was fortunate enough to order and experience what may very well be the BEST sandwich in all of the Midwest... The Egg Harbor Bagel Stack! Just imagine a warm jalapeno cheddar bagel loaded with hot shaved turkey, two fried eggs, sliced tomato, and white cheddar cheese - all topped with this avocado and chive cream cheese! The jalapeno cheddar bagel itself is mild in heat but is totally explosive with flavor, the turkey is shaved just right, the two eggs are fried to perfection and the 'Piece de resistance' is the avocado spread - smooth and buttery! Just one bite of this sandwich and you'll soon understand what the term 'party in your mouth' means! I must implore that you try a Bagel Stack for yourself - I assure you that you will not be disappointed! As incredulous as this may sound, I just learned the sad news that not all Egg Harbor Cafes carry the Bagel Stack... so you'd best call ahead! I'm going to make a sign and picket those cafes that don't because this is simply an injustice to all! read more

One of our favorite brunch place! It's a weekly visit. We usually get the same but we change up our dish without any disappointment. Coffee is great and they will give you a to go cup if we didn't get enough caffeine. Great family atmosphere and a great place for people watching. It's always busy on Saturdays but the wait is never too long and definitely worth the wait. read more

My favorite spot in Wheaton for breakfast. I love their menu and service and I love the atmosphere!! It's just a cool spot to hand out! Try it you'll like it (although it can get quite busy sometimes) read more

Me and my husband's Saturday brunch spot every week. They have great breakfast food along with Intelligensia coffee and a nice homey feel. My only suggestion is for them to watch the crazy creations with breakfast food. I ordered some new sweet potato scramble one time and the sweet potatoes were pre-made covered in cinnamon. Cinnamon clearly does not go with eggs and broccoli and veggies. Pretty nasty. Safe to stick with the basics. Otherwise great. read more

Love this place. Have been her many times and the staff and the food are always 5-star. I'm thankful this place is here, you can actually go here. relax and have a nice meal. Prices are reasonable. read more

Tasty, tasty, tasty, pseudo healthy food because they throw a small salad in there with the fried potato chunks. Breakfast options range from standards to more eclectic dishes involving spins on traditional items. Lunch items involve wraps including a chicken, bacon, brie and apple (I can't remember the name of it) and it's soo good. Also love their Door County melt which is chicken salad with walnuts and craisins which is awesome but it gets better, the side with that is potato pancakes. Super yum and you don't feel like you're killing your arteries when you eat it. read more

The parking lot is super small, and most spaces nearby are metered so you'll most likely have to walk at least some distance to the restaurant. My family and I went here one Saturday for brunch and I have to say I wasn't impressed with the menu variety, prices, or the taste of the food. The omelette I ordered was small, and dried out which was very disappointing. The one thing that makes this place get three stars is the gluten free menu which applies to several people in my family you usually can't go out to breakfast. I wont be back that's for sure. read more

Fast service and good food. Cannot beat it. I always get the Door County melt. The kids love the chicken and wild rice soup.

better than egg-lectic. fo show.

I'm here almost every weekend and I like it but I've never had a crazy good experience. The coffee always tastes a little burnt or old. But the food comes out so quick! And there's so much to look at as you're waiting. Prices aren't bad and the servers are always nice. read more

This has become a regular stop for me both for breakfast and for lunch. A very good menu with excellent service. Breakfast is my favorite with a good choice of skillets, omelettes and combos. Wait staff is very pleasant and always handles my exceptions, frequently making suggestions. I'm a hard to please senior citizen and I like this place!!!! read more

A very nice family restaurant. Good menu. Country decor. The firecracker omelette was very tasty.

I frequent this location (my office is down the street) about twice a week. I always have a good meal here, however I have a few suggestions. They used to allow you to call ahead to get your name put down on a master list so that when you arrive you didn't have to wait long. They discontinued this practice recently. Also, they recently changed their menu. This would be fine if not for the fact that the new gluten free toast is AWFUL. I used to love the Udis brand toast they had previously. I don't know what the new brand it is but the taste is terrible. Please bring back the old brand!! read more

My husband and I come here often on Saturday mornings and we always get the best service even when they are busy. The food is quick but of a great quality and we never hesitate to take out of town guests here for breakfast. We especially like that they leave water in pitchers and coffee in carafes at the table and they always ask if you want a to-go cup when you leave. Just small touches that make this place our go-to spot for breakfast. read more

Hands down my favorite restaurant! I haven't had anything here I haven't loved. Their harbor potatoes are amazing, and the menu variety and consistent new selections always keeps things interesting. Plus, fantastic service! read more

Great food, warm environment and amazing service. I will bring my whole family here for breakfast when they are in town for my wedding. Five stars. read more

Egg Harbor is a staple for our breakfast/lunch plans. Their chicken salad is by far the best of anyone's out there. Their staff is top notch and we've been going just about every week for years and years. The staff is first class and friendly. They are also accommodating for those who don't like certain ingredients and super helpful as to what's good or looks good. We also cater from them and they do a phenomenal job! Good food, good people and conveniently located in downtown Wheaton and they've expanded their parking across the street. Great Job Doug! read more

I love Egg Harbor. They have the best omelets, skillets, sandwiches...everything! Definitely my favorite breakfast spot in the area. Service is usually good...love going on week day mornings when it's not as crowded. read more

Very bad service here at 10:30 in the morning. After being seated we waited 15 minutes for service and the place was nearly empty. Then we were served luke warm coffee. Then waited another 15 minutes and complained to the hostess. The manager brought us hot coffee and said we would not be charged for beverages. The waiter finally came back and said he had 5 tables which came in all at once. IN FACT, I could see him from where I was sitting talking with his buddies in the kitchen. We finally got our order which was WRONG! When we left the manager charged us for the beverages after all, but not for the fruit cup. We will NEVER go here again. I highly recommend Egglectic which is just a little further north. They have very good service. read more

All in all, we were a bit disappointed. We walked here from a few blocks away and were famished. The hostess sat us right away but we waited some time for a server.mwhen our server came, she told us the kitchen was closing in 5 minutes. (why didn't they mention this at the door?!?). We felt rushed to order. The food was alright. We were never offered refills on the iced tea or water. They gave us the bill but didn't include the yummy mints like the Egg Harbor in Lombard. There are other breakfast options in Wheaton which I prefer. read more

I absolutely LOVE Egg Harbor! You really can't go wrong with anything on the menu. I often get an omlette, eggs benedict, or a skillet. If you like cinnamon rolls, definitely get one. They're huge! Delicious orange juice. Always good service too. I would rate 6 stars if I could! read more

I love Egg Harbor Cafe. Even when they are really busy (which is most of the time), the service is good and the food is too.

You can't beat this restaurant for breakfast! They serve great food, the staff are outstanding and the prices are more than fair. Be ready for a wait on a Saturday or Sunday, but that is for a reason--the clientele love this restaurant and are willing to wait for a table. I am a repeat customer each Saturday and my guess, most of the other people when we eat are also repeat diners. In the rare situation when there is a problem with the food or service, local management goes above and beyond to fix the issue! The wait staff are great and turnover in that group is rare which only happens if customers are happy and treat the wait staff fairly with good tips--in short, a win-win situation. read more

We came to eat at Egg Harbor on a busy Sunday after church. Despite the fact that the restaurant was packed, our breakfasts and the service were great! Members of our group had omelettes, a benedict, pancakes, and their excellent coffee and iced tea. One of our group members was late getting to the restaurant and we held off on ordering, not understanding that they'd be closing soon. Our waitress was unbelievably patient and kind, let us know that they would be closing soon (in a very diplomatic manner), and worked with us to get us fed even though we'd messed up on the closing time. There's a reason this restaurant is always packed: they're doing things right! read more

It's fine. The definition of replacement level breakfast. By and large nothing you couldn't make yourself at home. I don't get people who love these places. read more

Egg Harbor is an absolute no brainer and 5 stars really isn't enough. Favorites include: Barrington Benedict, Blueberry Pancakes, Pumpkin Soup, Door County Melt, GF Cinnamon Roll, Cinnamon Roll French Toast, Joe's Healthy Scrambler, the list goes on and on and they always have specials that will knock your socks off. Also, Intelligentsia coffee? Yes please! This is the go to breakfast/brunch/lunch place in Wheaton. My friends from out of town talk regularly about this restaurant and my local friends and family usually have no interest in trying anything new. To top it off, the staff is amazing! The servers are an army of experienced veterans and it is always nice to see their familiar faces. Can't say enough good things abut Egg Harbor. Definitely worth the wait if you go at a peak time on the weekend. read more

O.K. I have been going to Egg Harbor Cafe since day 1. I don't care what anyone says but this is the BEST place for breakfast. I have been to them all in the Chicagoland area and they are all the same. Noone can beat their breakfast, lunch-brunch style. Their food is extremely tasty and their menu is filled with my favorites. In the fall, try their pumpkin pancakes and their Harvest Pumpkin soup. MMM, MMM Good!!!! read more

This place is awesome. It is a decent size restaurant. The food is very good, the workers are nice and friendly. I know the owner of two Egg Harbors ( since it is a franchise) because he is friends with my uncle. The Owner is a very nice guy. I recommend the cinnamon roll french toast with extra icing. Just FYI the icing is very sweet. I went there for lunch one day day with my grandparents and I had a hamburger and it was very good. During the fall season they have pumpkin soup. Me and my mom love it. I highly recommend this place. read more

The best place for lunch and breakfast in Wheaton/Glen Ellyn. The manager Doug is awesome, and all the wait staff are the best. From Dino to Alex, they are fantastic. The food is very consistent, always hot (when it should be), served quickly, and delicious. I can't say enough good things about them - truly a wonderful place to eat. read more
