The place is sunny, comfortable, pretty clean, not the worst place to sit, be sad, and worry. Even though it's in a hospital, the workers don't wear masks, don't wash hands regularly, they're not that attentive often hanging out in the back so they don't notice customer waiting to order. They are friendly though. They don't seem well trained. They serve Starbucks but it's not very hot, and the straight up Black coffee tastes old and maybe they aren't cleaning the carafes well. It's also not piping hot. You don't have a lot of choice if you have a family member in here, and the cafeteria is the most depressing alienating place in the whole hospital world so don't go there. They have a sample of their sandwiches in the front case so you know what they look like and the Italian beef looked good. I'm a stress eater and I was under a lot of stress. She took the order, said she would call out when ready, so I assumed they were going to heat it up. After a bit, she called out and I got a cold, partially frozen sandwich. I brought it back up and told her it was cold and she looked at me as if I made the mistake, and maybe I was supposed to heat it up myself but then why tell me to "wait until it's ready?" So I asked her to heat it up, she acted confused and took it back while I wondered am I that weary that I don't know Italian beef is a cold sandwich? I had been up without sleep for a few days in a row and knew I was too tired to drive to even a nearby place and really probably too tired to know if Italian beef is supposed to be hot or cold. Heated up in a microwave in the bun rendered the bun too soggy to pick up with the meat too hot to touch so the whole thing just too sad (like me) and I'm not supposed to be eating this sort of food anyway so I guess "Good Vibes" is a sort of healthy diet. read more
