Country fried steak with breakfast sausage gravy on top mashed potatoes with brown gravy and green beans.
    Frank T.

Great Restaurant... Have been here many times for lunch even though I don't live anywhere near there. I had the country fried steak with mashed potatoes and green beans. The soup was lentil bean . The country fried steak was hot and crispy and had the breakfast sausage gravy on top. Mashed potatoes were creamy and I had brown gravy on top. The soup was very tasty. Waitress was very friendly and prompt. The atmosphere of the restaurant Is your typical Greek owned restaurant... very busy and a lot of people eat and socialize there! I look forward to next time I'm in Aurora so I can have lunch there again .

Pretty basic breakfast place. I didn't see anything on the menu that was unique and there is definitely not a healthy section. Coffee was just okay. Service, however, was really good and it seemed like there were a lot of regulars who knew the staff.

    Batavia and Geneva Seniors Breakfast

I went here to be part of the Seniors breakfast for Batavia and Geneva. The restaurant set aside a place for us in the restaurant. The waitress was pleasant and helpful. She took our orders and left us alone to talk. I have discovered there is a method to the madness of schedule this monthly breakfast for two hours. The restaurant was hosting two large groups at almost the same time so cooking and preparation time was slowed down. The diversity of foods ordered by both groups slowed the process way down. The group I was part of ordered from breakfast to dinner food. As we waited the server plied us with coffee and water and remained pleasant. The eggbeater Omlet With Ham and cheese was excellent. The next time I will replace the hash browns with fruit. Almost way too much for one person.. If you are looking for the old fashioned American restaurant you might want to eat here.

    No substitutions on breakfast specials.

I just can't get past the musty smell, which I'm guessing is from the worn out carpet. The kitchen does a nice job on an omelet, but I left with a headache from the musty smell. Attentive staff, but I will not be returning.

    Chicken Soup

THE BEST RESTAURANT IN TOWN!! Food is always good and fresh, reminds of my grandmother home cooked breakfast. And their chicken soup is HEAVEN!

Food is good, excellent pancakes. Service is above average. Booth seats could use some love, but overall a great place for a meal.

As soon as we walked in, we knew it was going to be a great experience. They have plenty of indoor and outdoor tables available as well as a traditional deli counter. They also have a drive thru! You can choose to order at the counter or be seated with a more traditional restaurant-like service. Our waiter was young but very professional and provided great recommendations. To start, they bring a complimentary bowl of bagel chips (a unique twist and a great way to repurpose old bagels). For my meal, I had a half American sandwich with a bowl of matzo ball soup. It was simple but delicious. On our way out, we stopped at the deli and ordered a few rugelach. They tasted so fresh! My favorite was the apricot flavor. Definitely hope to be back real soon to support such a great spot! Shana Tova!

It was a solid 7, which is why I place it at 3.5 stars. I may be being picky here but it just wasn't to the level of "melt-in-your-mouth" pastrami standards for me. Not to say it wasn't good, because it was perfectly fine. In fact, it's better than most of the pastrami sandwiches I tried in Chicagoland. Maybe it's the fact that I had to bring it back to the office to eat it, and half hour had gone by and pastrami weren't as warm and the Jewish rye had become soggy by the time I took the first bite. I mean, it goes without saying that the sandwich would have been 3 times better had I sat down immediately and had it. Again, all things considered, it was a perfectly good sandwich. One interesting thing was that I had never been to an establishment that included a half sour pickle instead of a normal one and gotta say, I was pleasantly surprised. Pickles can be a hit or a miss for me. I like my pickles to be crunch, but some places offer overripened ones that become borderline mushy. Schmaltz's half sour pickle was not overly salty or sour, making it very attractive for me. The more I'm thinking about it, I'm convinced that I'll have to go back and try their #14 Sloppy Paul, which is the corned beef with sauerkraut, which is another favorite of mine. And this time, I'll be sure to dine in and give another review of it to see how much I like them better.

Leilani has a pretty good variety of Chinese and Japanese inspired appetizers and entrees. Has some good drinks that go well with it basically. The food is high quality at pretty good prices. A lot of things to get here. It's not a very big menu but that makes it easier to choose obviously. This is Asian fusion so it's not like it's authentic but this is good for what it is though. A few things can get pricy but prices aren't that bad. The service is also great which helps. It's about $12 for the cheapest cocktails. They often have some rotating seasonal specials. It's about $15 for an entree. There's only a few that are vegetarian so that made it easy to pick something. I got the Truffle Shuffle, which is a maki roll. This has avocado, caramelized shallots, pickled daikon, and roasted shiitake mushrooms, and is topped with a tempura crunch with kimchi and wasabi. Full of flavor. This is a good choice if wanting light meals. For sure it's not authentic but it's not trying to be. It's a good mixture for American palates. There's a few things okay for vegans and vegetarians.

I finally came back with a smaller group on a Friday afternoon and the place was pretty empty. Our server, Tariq, was the BEST! He did a great job introducing us to Leilani, offering menu suggestions, refilling drinks, etc. Everything on the menu sounded so good. I tried the chicken katsu sando. The Japanese milk bread was so fluffy and fresh, the chicken added a nice crunch, and the toppings were a nice punch of flavor. On the menu, it said it came with yam chips or edamame so I asked for edamame. I think there was some confusion though cause my sandwich came with chips and I was charged for a side of edamame. The edamame had a lot of flavor. I never thought I would write this in a review but I almost wish it was more bland. Edamame aside, this place is great! Service was some of the best experiences I've had, I loved the decor, and most importantly, the food was delicious!

Normally I'm used to wonton soup also having noodles and theirs does not. Flavors were OK, felt like both dishes were missing spices. Everything was cooked perfectly though. Maybe we ordered the wrong items from here and need to try others instead.
