Lobster eggs benedict
Deshae W.

Outdoor seating is nice and right down the street from the shopping/stores. Food was pretty subpar. I got the lobster eggs benedict, which lacked flavor. It tasted like it needed seasoning outside of a simple salt and pepper. Blueberry pancakes and mediterranean omelette were average. We were expecting the food to make us say "oh this is yummy!", but it was meh. The servers were nice, but they kept forgetting about part of our order. She forgot about my coffee -- by the time she came back around I didn't want it anymore. Also forgot about our side order of bacon, which took 20 minutes to come out. Didn't seem intentional though.

Saturday morning and the place was fairy busy, between the ragged look of the place and how busy it was we were not expecting much but surprisingly enough the service was wuick and the food was great.

Oh gosh. I know what you're thinking. You're starving and all the other places have a long wait. We came here before checking reviews. What a mistake. This place has so much potential, unfortunately the food is not very good at all. I ordered banana pancakes that were completely bland and difficult to eat. The banana wasn't even properly mixed in the batter. The menus and tables are sticky; and the waitresses, although kind, are a bit all over the place. The place could use an upgrade. The food was extremely overpriced for the quality and unappetizing. If you're too hungry to wait, go to a fast food restaurant, you'll get warm, yummy food at a decent price. Everyone in town knows this place is trouble, unfortunately new Cape Coders such as myself were unaware. Don't make the same mistake.

Main points: 1. Good tasting food 2. We found a lot of hair in our food 3. Bad service I'll start by saying I really enjoyed my food here. It tasted good and there's a pretty large selection of breakfast foods on the menu. Just know if you get an omelette it is the size of a GIANT burrito so that's a pretty good deal. Unfortunately, there were a lot of things that led to a less than optimal dining experience here. Our waitress was very friendly but we had a poor experience with her. To begin with, my friend ordered the mushroom omelette and asked how much it would be to add spinach. She said it wouldn't be more than a dollar so he reluctantly agreed. When we got the bill, we were charged $2.50 for the spinach addition. We also found hair in our food (which wasn't her fault but still gross). Our of the 5 of us who went, 3 of us had hair somewhere in our food. I told the waitress and she told me that couldn't be because the chef was bald but I told her I was 100% sure there was hair. Then she stared at it for a little and told me they were just cracks in the plate and I said "no I removed it from my food" and then she just said "that's so weird" and never brought it up again. There was no apology or compensation of any sort. She also stopped coming back to our table after that so we were sitting around for a really long time and eventually sent someone in our party to go look for her so we could pay and leave. We also ran out of water after our first glasses and never got a refill because she was never around. We came here on a Monday morning so there was really no reason for her not to pay attention to our table. Overall, the food tasted good but the service was not good at all. Also, considering the fact that 3/5 of us had hair in our food, I'm willing to bet the other 2 also had hair in their food, they just ate it or didn't see it.

You don't come for fine dining, you come for "home" cooking done REALLY WELL and served with such care - feels like you are at your favorite cousins house and they cater to you. On my way there to celebrate a 60th birthday, I took a gander at the menu. And it seemed so confusing. VERY. Ecuadorian, Italian and Brazilian... why? This CANT BE RIGHT. But I went along, sat with the birthday boy and his birthday entourage, hung out with his lovely sons, and after the hubby and I struggled with all the wonderfully described offerings. Fried fish, meats - Ecuadorian, Italian or Brazilian. Pizza. Pasta. Rice. LOTS OF RICE DISHES. Beans. Chicharron.., eggs... plantains... OH for the love of stuff we love to eat when we don't want to cook it, but in an ethnic way that grandma didn't teach us, and yet the levels of deliciousness we all have in common across the Latin and Brazilian Americas... My husband went with lamb chops off the Brazillian menu and I ordered the Churrasco Brazileiro. As the plates started arriving to the table we realized that these guys have PORTION ISSUES! SERIOUSLY! An order EASILY feeds two people. The meat, ALL of them were PERFECTLY Rare as ordered! Jasmine rice is fluffy and well cooked. I had beans that were mixed with a "feijoada" kind of situation. I had bites off the meats, leaving more than half and enjoyed ALL the chicarron, beans, rice and a lamb chop off Hubby's plate. The food is fantastic! Not fine dining. Just REALLY GOOD FOOD! Everyone enjoyed their food, and everyone had take home! I, walked away with meat and lamb, thinking about steak and eggs for breakfast in the morning. Our server?! SPECTACULAR! Just loving, caring, professional, friendly. Yes, this is "Latin Style" cafeteria food - cafeteria on steroids style. Delicious. HUGE PORTIONS. Soul Satisfying. I will be back for the HUGE fried seafood plate! And rice and beans!

The staff were very helpful with recommendations and the food was delicious. I tried the seafood hash and it was five star. The egg Benedict was cooked to perfection and we also tried the Irish breakfast with recommendation of brown bread that was so thick but also very scrumptious. Multiple fills of coffee and delightful patron to talk to that were first time and repeat visit customers. The overall experience was something we would want to repeat again on our trip. I especially liked the potato cakes. Crispy on the outside and a nice change from the usual English muffin you get with eggs Benedict. The Irish breakfast is definitely the move if you want to try a little bit of everything. You get eggs, multiple meats, toast, and plenty of food to keep you full for most of the day.
