Cheese enchilada dinner was excellent. My 89 year old mom loved them, however did say the red sauce was spicy.

Fabulous dinner on the porch, tasty margaritas, quick & attentive service, excellent food (just wish they had ground beef, but that's just me). We had the crispy shredded beef tacos. Cheese enchiladas dinner, and vegetarian nachos. All arrived with a TON of food, great value for the buck & tasty entrees. We're one of those "transplants" from Texas & truly is as close to Tex-Mex that we've found. Jalapeño margarita really hit the spot & is definitely stronger than anticipated!

First time visiting this location big fans of the Boulder location as well. Both spots are very family oriented. We were greeted right when we walked in. Natalie took great care of us and made our visit great! Best Mexican food in Colorado! Highly recommend the chicken chimichanga and blue corn enchiladas. Don't miss the margaritas!

We heard good things about this place, and were a bit underwhelmed. The staff was friendly but service was rather slow. The food was decent. I liked the chips and salsa they serve complimentary. I ordered an enchilada and taco. The beef was really good, definitely recommend that meat option in your meals. It's shredded beef (instead of ground). However, the tacos came out pretty soggy and we had to eat them with a fork instead because they just fell apart.

I had not been to Efrain's in Lafayette for an extended period and sought it out before attending a Louisville Street Faire rainy night. Lafayette has a fun downtown area, plenty of options, parking, and safe surroundings. Luckily, they did not have a wait on a Friday night, snaring the lone available table after quickly getting a parking spot in their private lot. Efrain's always had a good neighborhood vibe, and this was no exception--average noise level. Excellent service from the onset, chips and their terrific red salsa on our table within minutes, and then a guacamole order to add to the appetizer! Our server was so pleasant and helpful and was kind throughout the visit. I ordered the Steak San Lorenzo, veering from my usual Mexican food choices, and I am glad I did. It was as delicious as I had hoped, craving a spicy dish with solid tastes. Perfectly cooked; I loved the veggies, and everything was yummy.

Came by for lunch. Efrains has a patio outdoors that was pretty full. The bar area has some large TVs with a crowd watching the game. Interior was large but most of the restaurant was sitting outside. The menu is large with the usual fare. They have some creative options like the Efrains burrito which seems like a wet burrito with the chef's choice of everything. Food was solid but pretty typical fare. Prices were pretty reasonable for the portion sizes. Queso came in a huge portion but was a little grainy. Service was very very friendly but a bit forgetful. We had a very nice waiter but things moved a little slow. Ample parking.

We had a groups of 13 including 3 littles and it was Friday night. I called and they were able to accommodate our group in their side room. We appreciated the space. Dinner was great. There were a couple glasses on the table that could have been cleaned much better. (Remnants stuck to the lip) Other than that everything was clean. Everyone enjoyed their dinner. We really liked the salsa.

I tiki ramen taco bar... and it somehow works!…read more I've been here many times. I like the tacos, my wife likes the ramen, and we both like the drinks. I like that the menu is constantly changing, so I can always try something new. There are usually a few staples, too. The tacos are priced reasonably so you can try several flavors. Every now and then there's one I don't like as much as the others, but that doesn't ruin the experience. The ramen is priced well for the amount you get, too. The only thing I consistently haven't liked is their guacamole. But I do like their avocado and salsas. They have a decent happy hour and, recently added, a "taco Tuesday." The kids menu options are pretty good, too. The hot dogs are a hit. Sometimes the buttered noodles are, too. The tiki drinks are great fun, and they're always trying something new. In the past, they've put lemonades in fun cups (like the hedgehog cup) so our kids can enjoy a "fancy drink." The service is pretty fast and consistent. They bring you a nice jug of water to help yourself with refills.

So it was shocking that I found such a good bowl out here in Erie. I got the Hellfire Ramen, a tonkotsu-based ramen served with their house spicy sauce, chili oil, pork shoulder, and a soft boiled egg. The broth was rich and flavorful, the spice level was perfect (quiet hot but still maintaining a good balance of flavors), and the pork shoulder was tender but still has a bit of nice toothsomeness. Overall, this was an excellent bowl of ramen comparable to any of the top spots in Denver. The only slight downside is that the broth was just a tough too salty for my liking, and I would've preferred a soy marinated egg over a soft boiled egg. They have other ramen here was well, such as a chicken-based shio ramen, a regular tonkotsu, and a Thai curry ramen. I definitely would return to try the other ramen. If the other items on this menu is as tasty, I wouldn't hesitate to give them 5 stars.

This time, lady is kind enough to remove coleslaw (it's spicy) in my own opinion, I don't like it, especially mixed into my food. Cost of an enchilada is $16.02. In some pictures online, it's shown with tomatoes, lettuce & sour cream, but noticed when ordering, below it says, you've to pay extra for tomatoes $1.00; lettuce $1.03; and sour cream $1.55. Lady on phone is kind enough to make an inquiry (it's not an option) to exchange coleslaw for lettuce, In the end, I paid for tomatoes $1.00, exchanged Cole slaw for lettuce and no sour cream, subtotal $17.02; added taxes & fees, equals $21.06. It's been lengthy time since we've returned. After, my last review, I'd place orders & it would be intentionally made spicy, added coleslaw (even mixed into) enchiladas. And, someone would ensure my meal wasn't to my liking and left me unable to consume. However, it's been some years ago, soon after their opening and they're aware, I don't eat spicy foods. I'm disabled, stuck to home & my husband is my sole caregiver. He doesn't cook, did his best to provide, which means utilizing what surrounds us. Considering where we live, we're limited to, authentic Mexican food that's easily accessible to our home. Again, I think, some years back, we ate once inside the establishment. I can't comment on ambience, it's to-go orders for us.

At least on this day, at this time. Chad and I got to the restaurant around 1:15 PM yesterday. There weren't many people at the establishment, maybe one other party inside and one outside. We were greeted fairly quickly and were seated by a lovely woman. She was very helpful and answered all of our questions about the menu, and was quick to give recommendations. We started with chips and salsa, and I ordered a Skinny Margarita. Yes, it's a little out of the ordinary to charge for chips and salsa, but I thought both were amazing. The salsa was fresh and really tasty (and tasted nothing like ketchup, which I despise). I've had a lot of horrible salsas; this was not horrible at all, and neither were the chips, crunchy and delicious, imo. The skinny margarita, which was $14, was huge and actually worth the cost. The lovely waitress gave me the Happy Hour cost of the margarita ($10) since we were paying right about when HH started (2 PM). Chad noticed that they had a Cheese Crispi (or just Cheese Crisp as we AZ folks like to call it), but we were pretty hungry and really just wanted meals. I got the Vegetarian Burrito and asked that it be smothered with the sour cream cheese sauce that I saw on another vegetarian dish, the Chimichanga de Hongos. I'm sure I put on a few pounds from that sauce alone, and it was 100% worth it! The entire dish was SO GOOD! Chad got the Expresso Burrito and couldn't even finish the whole thing, not for want of trying, though. I don't know if we had the good luck to come at a good/slow time, and that's why we had such a wonderful experience, but I almost felt like I was at a totally different restaurant than the one being reviewed here. When we are in the area again, Chad and I will definitely be visiting Fuego Azteca again and trying out the Cheese Crispi and the Deep Fried Ice Cream!
