Once again, I highly recommend Effective Air (EA). We have been customers of EA for almost three years. We have a residential boiler that heats our hot water and radiant floors. Whenever we have had an issue with our boiler, EA has responded within a reasonable time and solved our issue on the first visit. During an annual maintenance check performed by Effective Air we learned a gasket on our boiler had failed and the heat exchanger was leaking. Jonathan at EA immediately contacted the manufacturer to resolve the issue and it was determined that the boiler was defective and needed to be replaced. Although the labor portion of the exchange was out of warranty, Jon worked with the manufacturer to get the cost of the new boiler and associated labor covered by the manufacturer. The manufacturer did a wonderful job making the exchange which made me very impressed with the types of companies EA uses to procure their products. Jon's experienced installation team of Miguel, Lewis, and Gary did a wonderful job making the exchange a stress-free experience. They were timely, very polite, considerate of my home while moving equipment, and thoroughly cleaned up after they were done. Miguel did an excellent job communicating how the exchange would proceed and explained to me how the new unit worked. I had a leaking water heater at 11:30 pm on Friday night. I called Effective Air, got the 24 hour emergency hotline. Daniel answered and he was a Godsend for a single woman who has no experience or knowledge in household appliance,etc. emergencies. He calmly, patiently, carefully walked me through the steps to take to stop the emergency. He answered all my questions and reassured me with all my worries and fears. Early Monday morning, Carlos came to assess the situation and he patiently, carefully and thoroughly explained what was wrong, what was needed and answered all my questions to him. He came another day to install the new water heater and was very careful to leave the area cleaned up before he left. I had a couple questions a few days later, called the general Effective Air number and they paged Carlos, who called me back immediately! He answered my questions and reassured some of my other worries, even about some appliances that weren't the water heater! Every company would hope to have such conscientious employees as Daniel and Carlos at Effective Air! My wife and I learned last spring that our ancient furnace had finally died, luckily after the terrible winter of 2013. We decided it was time for a total overhaul, replacing both the heating and air conditioning systems. We decided to get three bids, and chose Effective Air! It was not the lowest bid, but by far the most complete and thorough. Jon explained all the pluses and minuses and worked with us to keep the costs as reasonable as possible. When it came time for installation, Effective Air proved we had made the right choice. The crew were extremely professional and pleasant to work with. They organized the work, removed the old equipment, installed the new systems and cleaned up all the debris and dust. It seemed like a big project to us, but they made it look easy and everything worked just as promised. We especially like our new thermostat that we can control remotely from our cell phones! My husband and I bought a new house in September and since we moved in I have been having allergy symptoms, thinking my house was making me sick, I called Effective Air. They set up an Air Advice test and it showed a high number of particle allergens that spiked at times my house was heating (so the air was blowing through the vents). I talked with one of their knowledgable technicians and he recommended duct cleaning with Aeroseal (to seal my ducts). The technicians worked arrived, put on shoe covers so they wouldn't dirty my house and worked efficiently over two days. They were kind and very courteous as well as knowledgable. They made sure to clean everything before they left each day. I couldn't have been more happy with the service! I haven't noticed these symptoms since and the Aeroseal reduced my duct leakage by 27%! We use Effective Air to get an older air conditioning unit up and running after it quit working on a 90 degree day. Ken offered to do some diagnostics over the phone initially to see if he could get it fixed quickly and help us avoid incurring the fee to come on out. The problem was more involved so EA came to the house. I was very impressed that Ken called to let me know what all the options were and what the costs involved would be. He clearly understood what my financial concerns were and made a great effort to respect those. The AC is running great and I will use EA again in the future. Carlos and his partner were very professional. They cleaned my air ducts and furnace. They informed me of what they were doing every step of the way and cleaned up all dust and debris.
