Brie and guava croissants

Effe Cafe is the epitome of a hidden gem. It's hidden inside of a gas station's store, but you would never know it because of the quality. Everything is handmade, in-house and it tastes it! This was my second time going and it does not disappoint. The pastries are so fresh and buttery and the coffee is a great touch. Service is always great and friendly.

Americano (small)

Yes it's in a gas station but don't let that detour you from checking this place out. It's clean and has a cute set up. I got an americano, which is average in taste. The food on the other hand was really good. I got a double sausage breakfast sandwich (scarfed it down without taking a pic ‍) and banana bread. Both are very good! Sandwich was made fresh on the grill. Service was good. They helped me pick something from the menu and I'm not disappointed

An easy five stars at this family owned and operated cafe offering sandwiches and gourmet coffee based inside of the Marathon convenience store. The Italian espresso coffee was priced right and made right in front of me providing a great experience.

Wow what a great find! We found this lil whole in the wall in a gas station shop We hesitated going in as we don't usually see great food in a gas station shop but this blew our minds. Great food and coffe with fresh OJ and great variety of pastries. The guy was very friendly and quick. Will definitely stop by again when in the area.

As many other reviews have stated, don't let the location of this cafe (tucked into a Marathon gas station) deter you from stopping by for the tastiest pastries around! I was looking for a locally owned alternative for some breakfast treats and this little gem came through! Photos show a Pistachio Swirl - flaky, crispy, and soft at the same time! Not too sugary sweet, just delicious! Also tried a chocolate croissant, which had so many flaky layers and was overall delightful. Can't wait to return to try more items. There seemed to be several regulars stopping by while I was there and although the customer line was steady, the wait was almost nonexistent. Effe Cafe is clean and cute and you won't regret making a stop here.

Grilled cheese and tomato soup, sooo good!!!

Soooo gooood!!!!!! Grilled cheese and tomato soup. Effe cafe has all kinds of pastries, breads, and coffee. It is a must try.

This place is inside a gas station ... But it honestly deserves its own little spot! Everything on the menu looks and sounds very yummee! They have iced coffee and all kinds of delicious home made pastries, I order a salmon toast and it has been the best salmon toast I've had thus far! Highly recommend!

This place is a secret in a gas station. They have a following for their baked goods and breakfast sandwiches. Everything is made fresh and they sell out fast so go early. I like their bagels and croissants. There is not much for ambiance however the owners dedication to excellence will wow you. Everything is served quickly here so you can get back on the road and on with your day.

An inconspicuous cafe inside a gas station on stirling. When you walk in, the cafe is on the left. You order at the counter and wait for you food for take out. There's only about two seats at a high top that you can sit and eat but the space is small. We ordered the Sam special, a bacon egg and cheese bagel, a s'mores brownie, a donut, a cafe latte and an iced cold brew. Everything was freshly made to order. The donut was freshly fried while we were ordering. The sandwiches were very good. The bread was too much for me but that's just my preference. They didn't offer anything other than a brioche but that's ok bc I just took the bottom off and made it an upside down open face sandwich. The bagel was so big. My kids shared it and still couldn't finish. My coffees were in point. Strong enough for my liking. My husband couldn't get enough of the s'mores brownie, he said it was delicious. My kids didn't complain about the donut so I'm sure they like it. They have so many fresh baked goods. I wished I could've tried everything. Will definitely come back to try more.

Hidden gem. The food and drinks are FRESH!!! This is a breakfast sandwich with their homemade bagels ya'll. Legit.

Seriously people, I have never been here before! But how?!? Effe Cafe is a total hidden gem tucked away in a Marathon gas station. You can easily miss it. Probably explains how I have never stepped foot here before. I love a good spot with good eats and fresh food. We try to support local businesses when we can. Effe Cafe may be my new fave little spot. I want to try everything on the menu. When you walk into the gas station, Effe Cafe is located to your left. Literally tucked in a tiny space. But it works. No tables inside or outside to sit at. You order and you get outta there. Quick and efficient. We arrived early and there was only one person ahead of us waiting on their order. Another couple came in behind us. Once we ordered and were waiting, a slew of people were rolling in here for the cafe. Not for the gas or the convenience store. For the CAFE!!! It's obvious they are popular with the locals. They also have a glass case display with fresh pastries and bread. Oh man, next time we will try some of these. I'm a sucker for pastries! The cafe has a unique menu of breakfast and lunch items. That was what caught my attention when we were looking for a place for a quick breakfast. Don't even get me started on the prices, totally fair and reasonable. Affordable!!! This goes for the food and coffee. Cheap coffee. Everything is made fresh to order. The chef hustled like nobody's business! I got the lentil hummus, butternut squash, alfalfa sprouts on sourdough. My daughter got the bagel with bacon, egg and cheese. The bagel is homemade! Dude! Also ordered a large cappuccino and fresh squeezed orange juice. What can I say, everything we ordered was divine. Super fresh and incredibly delicious! My sourdough was perfectly crispy and tasty, butternut squash was cooked just right and the lentil hummus was interesting but I didn't dislike it, honestly, it grew on me. The flavors worked together. I'm not a huge fan of alfalfa sprouts so I removed most of it, left some but not a lot, The bagel sandwich was quite amazing actually. You can definitely tell the bagel was homemade and fresh! Soft and chewy and toasted to perfection. The bite hit just right. I had to take a bite and try it, the fresh squeezed orange juice was the perfect sweetness with no added sugar. Cappuccino was hot and on point. Chef was super accommodating and so nice. I asked questions about the cafe and how long they've been around. They had to close shop for a bit, not because of the pandemic but due to the gas station making changes. Luckily, Effe Cafe reopened and back in business. Thank goodness too because everyone needs to come try this place! Loved everything about it.

Fresh-made Guava Lemonade

Decided to check out Effe Cafe with my daughter while out shopping the other day. It's in a quirky location tucked in the corner of a gas station. My GPS missed it at first, but alas we found it. We got in line and salivated just looking at the fresh-baked goodies in the display case. The banana bread was immediately on our radar. Daughter really wanted a guava pastry which they didn't have, but the owner did tell us about their yummy Guava Lemonade... it was delish!!! I opted for a Patty's Chicken Salad sandwich (made with apples, walnuts, curry, and raisins and chicken breast) also suggested by owner. Daughter got the Bacon, Egg & Cheese which comes on their homemade bagel. There's not much to offer as far as dine-in seating- a counter and an outside high-top table. We decided to take our goodies outside to eat at the high top. Overall was an enjoyable experience, and you can definitely tell the food was prepared with love. A nice little hidden gem of a place to return to and try other items from on my next trip to Cooper City.

If you have kids, the outdoor seating is perfect because they can run around the plaza while you relax and eat. It makes it a lot less stressful than a typical sit-down restaurant with little ones. The lunch menu might be better, and there are a lot of people coming to check this place out, we saw lots of big groups and kids and dogs it's in a good newer residential area, however these details are important when the item is called chorizo bowl, with little chorizo, and avocado toast with little avocado. So this is not a staff note, but probably a management note that they should put the correct product out.

This First Watch is near Stirling Rd & University in Cooper City…read more Came here for my first breakfast of 2026 and it did not disappoint! It is in a great spot in the plaza right next to Tide Cleaners and near AA Mint & Culver's. We came right after sunrise at the beach and it wasn't too crowded but it really filled up after we were seated. We came with a pretty big party, 8 adults and 4 kids, and the staff was super helpful in getting us seated and taking our order. I got the Frittata Rustica (my fav) and then also ordered some items to go for my household. The service was fast, the inside was clean and spacious, and the food was delicious, as always. A great location of First Watch!

This was a solid breakfast stop after a run. I put in my name for a table on the app (and you…read moreshould too), showed up 10 minutes later, waited for a few minutes and was seated. Just as any other location, this one had a fair number of larger parties waiting for a table after 10 AM on a Saturday. But the wait is worth it if you ask me. Our server greeted us soon after we were seated and was very helpful with all of my questions about menu items. She accommodated my request to leave out sour cream on my dish (the Chickichanga), put Vera Cruz sauce on the side and add jalapeños. My photo of the dish looks real different and bare because of the changes haha. My one wish is for First Watch to have more spicy items available, but the jalapeños and the Cholula hot sauce at the table are the best spicy options I can find there. When I mentioned I like spicy food, our server offered the jalapeño addition and to add a red pepper sauce on the side for me to try. The jalapeño came pretty much sliced raw inside the dish but gave me that kick in each creamy bite that I was hoping for. Both sauces were great to dip into with my hot, gooey, chickeny Chickichanga and hearty seasoned potatoes. The red pepper sauce came off like a light aioli and the Vera Cruz sauce was a grown up queso, only because it had chopped peppers. I would take the kid version too if I could. The potatoes were cooked just right to being crispy on the outside without losing its texture on the inside. Our server continued to be helpful when I asked whether the sauces were mayo based (there was an egg allergy in my party). She went out of her way to speak to the kitchen and ask about them before returning to tell me that the Vera Cruz sauce does not have eggs while the red pepper sauce uses a hollandaise that is made off site, so they cannot verify its exact ingredients. Her handling of my inquiry was so thorough that I could have given her a hug if I hadn't been so sweaty and ragged looking. Thank you for a great breakfast!
