Went there with a large group of 9, great service. Very attentive hostess and waiters. I tried the Norwegian Benedict that had smoked salmon and comes with a side arugula salad and French fries. Very filling and delicious. Would recommend for a Saturday brunch place. read more

I used to eat here regularly when I worked in the area. I enjoy this place. The service is a little slow but the food is simply good. They use basic ingredients and that makes the food taste really good. The prices are also reasonable. When I am in the area again I am returning to Edwards. read more

The food was decent - burrito tasted great. Good beer selection for a small place. Service was fine but a little slow. Waaay over priced though. I think the burrito was $15 and it didn't even have any rice/beans/anything on the side. It would cost them ten cents to give me some rice/beans on the side and would make the plate look so much better. read more

Edward's is awesome. Music is great, food is perfect and the atmosphere during the week is very neighborhoody. I've actually made it a Monday experience for myself. Jae, the bar tender, has really made it fun. She's great to talk to and the people that hang out regularly are a what make the place wonderful. I met someone in fashion, a programmer and a headhunter all in 1 hour and we all chatted. It's that friendly. I've never been to a Bar/Restaurant alone before, but I've started here and I love it. Very chill and it's the people that make the experience great. Edward's has great people. As long as this is the case, count me in. read more

On Monday night, I stopped in Edward's just to sit at the bar and reward myself for turning in my NYFA grant application. Jae was working the bar, so I knew I'd have a nice drink and a friendly chat. Not only was the margarita perfect (Jae made sure), but an acquaintance of mine and her husband soon appeared next to me at the bar and I discovered that they also popped into Edward's regularly for a glass of wine and a visit with Jae. Soon we're all telling stories and ordering that second margarita or wine. The friendly neighborhood atmosphere is what makes Edward's, that and the hot, crispy fries which are brought right to the bar. It's also the sort of place I can take my finicky daughter for a burger and a caesar salad. My only disappointment is the quesadilla which could use some jalapenos. read more

I went there with a party of 6 on Sunday for brunch. When you walk in you are struck by the crowdedness and the casualness - very standard, laid back place for standard breakfast-ish (i.e. brunch) food. Nothing memorable about the eggs, bacon, and pancakes, though my friends all enjoyed their varied meals. Bloody mary is good and they have plenty of variety in drinks as well. Also had a Vegan option for my Las Vegan friend. Definitely a less expensive option than Odeon and Bubby's. I would recommend it and go again but not with passion. read more

I've now visited this restaurant twice for brunch and have enjoyed my experience both times. The restaurant seems to be populated mostly by locals, which is nice for someone looking to avoid the touristy crowds in the area. The service is just right - the waitstaff doesn't hover, yet they always bring the food and drinks in a timely fashion. The food is hearty and delicious, but my only complaint is that it's a bit pricey. I understand the neighborhood is upscale, but I still feel that it's overpriced, especially because the dishes aren't overly complicated or spectacular. However, if you're looking for a solid place for classic American dishes at brunch, I would recommend this place. read more

1/2 Price wine bottles on weekdays! Space wasn't too crowded on a Wednesday evening and the service was charming, helpful, and fast.

I had dinner at Edward's with a group of six last night. They sat us pretty close to our reservation time. The service was quick and on point. We tried the calamari and chips and guac, and then I had a bacon blue cheese burger, and the rest of my party tried a couple of the pastas, sandwiches, and a salad. Everything was great! Only the second time I've been here, but both times the food has been fresh and delicious, and the service was great. Can't wait to try again! read more

I went for the first time for Cincinnati night last week. On Cincinnati night, Edward's serves food from four famous Cincy establishments: Skyline Chili Montogomery Inn Ribs LaRosa's Pizza Graeter's Ice Cream You shouldn't order all four it turns out. The LaRosa's pizza looked so pallid, frozen and lifeless that we asked around at other tables about it. Sure enough, it just doesn't travel well (they drop ship everything in from Ohio for the night). The ribs, however, traveled nicely. They're midwestern style -- baked (or grilled, perhaps?) and don't taste smoked, as they are at Hill Country and other finer NYC barbecue establishments. Still, they slid off the bone and had an agreeably sticky sauce. Skyline chili is the bomb -- a bit spicy, a hint of cinnamon and other sweet notes -- served over spaghetti with grated cheese, raw chopped onions and beans (this is known as "five-way" -- you must order it five-way, or you'll be missing out on the full experience). But Graeter's is the crowning glory. You should go on Cincy night just to have the ice cream. It's the best ice cream in the U.S.A. bar none. The chips -- slabs, really, of high-quality dark chocolate that somehow stay a little bit soft inside the ice cream -- are the thing, so order a flavor that has some in it. Shame, however, on Edward's for running out of the vaunted black raspberry chip before the 9pm seating. How could they?! True Cincy natives would know to double-order that flavor! Every restaurant should do something like this. Why is there no Chicago night anywhere in town, serving Vienna hot dogs and stuffed pizza once per month? Or L.A. night, where they serve sand dabs? Or San Diego night, where someone in this town finally figures out how to make a decent Baja-style fish taco? I haven't visited Edward's on other nights. It's a bit crowded, but it feels homey and not tragically hip like so many other downtown spots. And Edward himself, who is from Cincy, is super friendly. read more

I don't even live close to Tribeca, but I love Edward's and am willing to make the trek downtown anytime . . . just call me. First of all, I'm a bit of a collector . . . I collect good bartenders. If this sounds strange, think about it. Even a good drink is better when it's prepared and presented by a good bartender. Jae is not only quite lovely, she is warm and friendly and knows how to make a serious martini (for me vodka, olives (not just one)). She is also no slouch with a Manhattan. Importantly, dust doesn't collect on the bottom of your empty glass . . . Jae is as attentive as she is charming. Edward's menu is filled with reasonably priced fun foods. After a long, long day, when you're too tired to even think, the burgers are perfect (and they have an excellent turkey burger which is my fav). The fries are in the French bistro style, skinny and crisp and not too salty. When you're feeling righteous, the salads are fresh and tasty. Most importantly, you can get a reasonably priced bottle of wine and a quite respectable Manhattan depending on your mood (see above). The joint is always jumping . . . you'll find families or co-workers or people like me hanging out with friends. So give Edward's a shot and make sure you say "hey" to Jae at the bar! read more

A reasonable meal in a place where everything is super over priced! Edwards is an all American bistro with a fun menu and great ambiance! The bet part is they now accept MyCheck so you can stop in for a drink, pay on your phone and you're outta there, no wait! They have outside seating in the warm weather which is a great place for people watching and enjoying all that TriBeCa has to offer. read more

Even sitting in the restaurant during a hurricane event we are being shoved out despite sending lots of money on food and drink... even asked to leave our table before we are done... getting offered standing space at the bar.... only because the manager is after a quick buck... will never go back and the biggest disappointment to my visit in NYC. read more

I would give this 0 stars if I could... Visited as was close to our hotel and it was during the hurricane. Was empty when we arrived and we sat for a couple of hours and had 2 bottles of champagne. It then started getting busier and we were about to order food when we were told we had to leave. Apparently we had stayed long enough! Never in my life have I come across this before. The staff especially the male 'manager' if I can call him that, was full of himself. He actually said: 'look around, we're busy, does it look like we need you!!!!' Will never visit here again. This place has declined in the quality of food as well as their level of service. The last 5-6 times we've eaten here (lunch and dinner), the food was over cooked and tasteless. The last time we were there with a yo-yo stroller, the waitress seated us at a table next to the window (we did not want to sit outside in the sun but wanted to still enjoy the beautiful day and fresh air). After sitting down the guy who came over with menus asked if we wanted to move to a table in the back which we politely declined and said we liked our current table. He then insisted we move saying the stroller was in the way and when we offered to push the stroller in further under the table he still insisted on us moving saying he was "not comfortable" and it was "really busy" (btw it was not! There were only 2 tables taken outside and 1 other next to the window - inside was even more empty. There are times when this place is packed and busy and I would have understood but it was not the case when we were there - the place was pretty empty). So we simply said "ok we can go somewhere else" and he just shrugged and walked away. Wrong attitude for a restaurant in TriBeCa, buddy. You just lost a customer and I'll be sharing my experience with all my mom & dad friends in the neighborhood. read more

This place is okay. The Tribeca Cobb Salad is my favorite lunch item on the menu. Your typical bistro with some red and white checkered tables outside along the sidewalk. It attracts locals and construction workers alike. Wine bottles fill the walls all the way up to the ceiling - four stars for atmosphere. I was content reading outside by myself but why the 'tude from the waitress? She kind of made me sad. read more

My girl friends and I brunch there frequently due to the casual atmosphere and yummy food. I would go down town just for Edward's fries! Came here for a late lunch. Food was fast and great, and the waitress, Hannah, couldn't have been nicer! Great atmosphere. Highly recommend.

Food was decent. Service was very poor. Waited for my drink for 20 minutes and had to remind the waitress twice. Then the waitress forgot my order and when I asked where it was she said I never ordered (which was not true). To top it off they add an automatic 25% gratuity for groups which is outrageous. There are lots of places to get a good brunch in the city. This is not one of them. read more
