To preface, I know that microblading is a tough industry and it's hard to make every client happy. That being said, I feel obligated to share my experience because of the terrible customer service. I got my brows done in September and immediately emailed Edgebrows to let them know that I was unhappy. I figured it was okay, I'd use concealer and wait until my touch up. But unfortunately, even after the touch up in November, the brows were still uneven. I also have scarring as she has a heavy hand. It's now December and the pics I've attached are one month post-touch up. It's obvious that one brow starts lower than the other brow. I paid $500 ($400 for ombre + $100 for cover up) for UNEVEN brows. I emailed Edgebrows again requesting another touch up. NO RESPONSE. Diana is so wonderful! She's extremely friendly and knowledgeable about her craft. She asks questions to learn more about your preferences and routine and makes you feel really good about yourself! She takes her time shaping and drawing on your brows and checking in to make sure she has the right idea in mind and I really appreciated her detail and meticulous effort to ensure perfection. I have stubborn eyebrows which are naturally dark but don't grow the way I want them to at the middle. I went in for the ombre look since I already have a lot of hair and just wanted to fill in the middle section and even them out so I don't have to waste so much time in the mornings. Diana was very patient and listened to my concerns and made her recommendations from there, rather than telling me what was best for me off the bat. She was so sweet and talked to me the whole time! The first couple of days, the brows were very dark, just as Diana warned. The pigment takes a week or two, depending on the person, to work its way into the skin and you can't judge them based on how they look within that time period (especially if, like me, you bleed a lot, causing excess scabbing and extra healing time). I am very picky about my face (Lol who doesn't, right?) since i don't wear much eye make up. My daily routines are very quick and simple. I care more about my skin tone. focus on contouring and highlighters. no eyeshadow. natural brushed eyebrows and no mascara for my contact lens. but eyeliner is must!!! and lip gloss or lipstick (color depends on my mood of the day). Yes eyeliner is must for my asian eyes. I wished diana was in my life 2 decades ago. I've had some not so good experiences with face tattoo. Unflattering eyebrow tattoos that made me look angry, plus eye lid and waterline tattoos that was so painful it made birthing seem easy. So fast forward to today... my decorated eyeliner is complete and healed. I have typical small hooded Asian eyes. Eyeliners are difficult to apply as you all know. I tend to laugh a lot so they end up above my cheek bones and upper lid. When I wipe them off they smear all over my face. It's a struggle. Drawing a thin natural line takes concentration. Something I just don't really care to do everyday given the time it takes. I can now say... #iwokeuplikethis About the experience... two sessions are included in the price. The first session is very subtle, once that heals the second session gives you a better idea of what you may want. In my case a little darker and thicker. It takes her about 2 hours to perfect it. Before she begins she puts numbing cream on your eyelids which takes 20 minutes to initiate. It feels a bit strange to have your eyes numbed. But it helps to keep my eyes from tearing up as they are super sensitive. It's a bit painful but tolerable. I clenched my fist a couple times. Once she's done the healing process takes about 10 days. Avoiding the sun, working out, spa, and face washing to keep them dry. She's gives you drops and ointment to keep them clean. The entire process can take a couple months so plan accordingly as in not having special events during that time. The outcome is totally worth the time you put in to make this happen!! I'm so glad I did. I can now focus on my skin more and age into my 40's gracefully. Also the space is super bright, clean, and cute. Diana is a real pro and she is excellent at what she does. Because I had multiple eyebrow tattoo artist work on me and had residual work that she had to work from, she couldn't do the feathering technique that I'd originally asked for. She was really honest about that before we started but she did do this ombre (not sure of the technical term) effect that turned out to be beautiful and natural looking. I wish I'd started with Diana in the first place so that I could've gone with a microblading effect, but short of that (not her fault at all as it had more to do with my lack of experience and knowledge of getting my brows done) the experience was really positive. When I got to my appointment she asked me what look I wanted to go for manlier, bold or natural I opted to go for the natural look . I had some patchy spots on the ends of my brows and wanted to just fill those in. She told me that if I didn't use any numbing cream, I would have better results.
