Ellie is the BEST!! Getting my eyebrows micro bladed is something I had been considering for over four years. Super terrified that I would be doing something to my face and then be stuck with it if I did not like it. I almost never wear make up either so having it look extremely natural was also critical factor for me. I researched everybody within a 30 miles radius of San Francisco studied all of their before and after pictures. Studied the work of eyebrow artists all over the country in fact. Ellie, you say here that you are knowledgeable about the different skin types and which types should or should not have the procedure done. As mentioned in my earlier review, I am having a dermatologist follow this situation for post procedure hyperpigmentation. The first thing she said was this procedure, plasma fibroblast treatment should not have been done on my skin type. If you are indeed trained and understand which skin types are good candidates, why did you still recommend this procedure for me? I am not "red" anymore as you call it. It is clearly hyperpigmentation as a result of this procedure. Had I known I could possibly live looking like this for months with no visible appreciable signs of improvement for what this procedure was actually intended for, I of course would not have done this even if you insisted it was appropriate. You may not remember, but you sent me photos of, I'm assuming a client you treated with this procedure of her first 7 days post treatment. On day 7, 80% of her scabs were all gone. So actually the scabs do not remain for 12-14 days. That might be ideal but it does not appear to be the norm. As I have said before, I take my share of fault in trusting Ellie and not practicing due diligence. It's sad as I can't even look at myself in the mirror. read more

Updated review after 5 years** Unlike other brows that I've seen by different artists, our brows didn't fade to a reddish color. They faded naturally. After Covid and a few years of putting it off, my mom and I finally came back. I called Ellie for an appt and she actually remembered my mom and I after all these years. We were able to book 2 appts within a few weeks and made the required 30% deposit over the phone. Then Ellie sends out an email that gives you all the instructions for your appt and after care directions. On the day of our appt, she applied numbing cream to our brows and reapplied as needed (I definitely needed this). We were very happy with the shape, color and look of our brows. I got so many compliments on them at work before they were even fully healed. It took about 2-2.5 weeks for mine to fully heal. Then we came back for a touch up appt 4 weeks after the initial appt. I wasn't completely satisfied with my 1st microblading experience. After it faded i knew i wanted to give it another go. Microblading is something i consider expensive. So i ended up on Groupon looking for a deal. That's how i came across Lu Lu's. I read the reviews and looked at the pictures and i was impressed. The salon is located on a main street. There is only street parking, which can be difficult find. Most of which is metered also. The location is so cute inside. It's decorated very nicely. Stylish and elegant. There is a lounge area and a room located in the back. Side note: she professionally asks customers to wash their hands upon entry. That is a plus! Initially i was getting only the microblading, but some shading was reccomend due to my lack of natural eyebrow hair (extra $200). I agreed. Ellie did a beautiful job! I love them! This is day 4. DO NOT go here for plasma fibroblast! The technician Ellie is not properly trained. You won't get any skin tightening from her, the technique was not well performed. I wish I had done my research. Her aftercare plan is not professional either. Had to go to a dermatologist after having puss ooze from my face 3 days after going here. This shouldn't happen at all since the dots aren't open wounds. Or they shouldn't have been. Derm said the dots were way too thick/deep and not properly spaced. Finally the end of being a browless betch! I teach fitness classes and play on several sports teams and was sick of my "byebrows" once I got sweaty. Finally took the plunge and went for it when I saw a groupon and read the positive reviews on yelp. Nevertheless, I was really nervous going in because, let's be real, you're getting brows semi-permanently stamped on your face. Ellie was professional, sweet, and a magician with the final look. I'm shocked by how natural they turned out. My fear was that they'd be drastically different than the way I usually fill them in, but the shape she gave them looks way better than I could imagine. First Ellie put some numbing cream on while I filled out paperwork, then had me lay down comfortably while she drew on the outline. I felt they were a little big for what I'm used to, and she was super receptive to that and lessened the height a bit before beginning. The process itself wasn't too painful, but I have a pretty high tolerance. She communicated everything we were going to do so nothing was a surprise. I just wish I'd done this sooner!
