It took me approximately two years to decide to nanoblade my eyebrows until I found Denisse. She is very professional and clean. After paying for a consulting session, she gave me different ideas, and lots of confidence. Here I'm, just ended my three first weeks after the first touchup. I have ridiculously sparse brows and I have wanted to get microblading for YEARS and years. I've even gone so far as to make an appointment with another provider, put down a $100 deposit then cancel the appointment and lose my deposit money out of sheer anxiety and an Instagram photo of someone with awful brows. I mean, it's basically a semi permanent tattoo on your FACE, it's difficult not to be anxious. Before each appointment, Denise would text and remind me of everything I needed to do to prepare for the appointment which was super helpful. On the day of the appointment(s), she carefully did measurements, made sure I was happy with everything and got it work. She used careful sanitization methods (she even sanitized my phone!) and made sure to show me a clean sterile needle before beginning. She used an amazing numbing cream and let me say, I felt NOTHING. I had to ask her if she had started. I am originally from Los Angeles and wanted to try out this microblading trend that many of my friends had already done. I was particularly hesitant about just trying "any ole place" since this was going to affect... MY FACE!!!!! I am also particular about finding someone who had experience with Asian skin, hair texture etc... (don't ask it's a thing...). This was my first microblading experience, and I *loved* it. I'm Asian with sparse eyebrows, and I had been using brow liner and gel for many years. Waterproof formulas are never really truly waterproof, and there's nothing more kill-joy than thinking "I'd really like to play in that waterfall, but will it make my eyebrows disappear?" I've never been a big makeup person, so I'm totally fine with zero eyeliner and mascara - but eyebrows are non-negotiable, IMO. I read lots of reviews before I landed on Denise and Browistry. One minute I'm having the best conversation with her and next thing you know, my brows are done and they look AMAZING, better than what I had in mind. I've only gotten my brows trimmed by two people before and HATED it so I never let anyone touch my brows 2. I truly do not know how it has taken me so long to write this review because Denise has CHANGED MY LIFE I have naturally medium/dark brown hair (but dye it a golden copper color - don't tell anyone!) and my brows have always been much lighter and kind of sparse. So since I discovered makeup, I've been filling them in in one way or another. I've even tinted them, but they were still sparse, so not totally helpful. I got my brows done in November and had my touch up in April and WOW. Have you ever literally sweat your brows off? NO MORE! I can walk out of the house and I've got a solid natural looking brow game. If I'm going to an event I will often fill them in a bit more, but most often I will go as is. Honestly the only people who have ever been able to tell are the gals at Benefit when I'm getting my lashes done. As noted earlier, I'm a ginge now, so I was concerned about color. I didn't want my brows to be drastically different from my hair because they really help sell the look. The first round we were a bit more conservative and did a lighter brown, but when I came in for my touch up we decided to go a bit darker as once healed, that was a little too light. I think I will do another touch up to fill in a little bit, mostly on the tail of the brow, but I am so happy that I did this and was honestly some of the best money I've ever spent.
