Condensed version: Would recommend to everyone, Mina tailored my experience to my skin type/needs, price is on par with everyone else, I fell asleep during my appt (doesn't hurt at all), great location Long version: Previous to Mina, I've had three sessions done with another microblading artist about a four hour drive south. After nearly a year from that last session, I needed to find an artist closer to SF, I was not down to make that drive again lol. This is how I found Mina! Mina's microblading package includes two sessions. My first session with her was a breeze. I could not believe how smooth it went considering I was quite intimidated by the pain level I experienced from the previous artist. Maybe it's because Mina uses two types of topical anesthetics, which is such a relief for someone like me who cannot handle pain. I actually fell asleep twice... During this session, I told Mina about how my brows reacted to the dry healing method the other artist gave me. My brows were so itchy after week one, but I was told not to put any product (including lotion) on them so I just stuck it out. With Mina, she suggested that for my dry skin, it's better to keep my brows moisturized instead. Dry healing method probably works best for people with oily skin, but not for dry skin like mine. So glad Mina suggested this, the healing process was a breeze. Several weeks later I came in for my second session. I told Mina I wanted a darker and bolder brow, so this time she suggested nano-blading, a method with a single needle tattoo gun instead of a single blade with microblading. I don't hear of this method often, just know that nano-blading is totally an option with Mina. This was the last time I saw Mina and my brows are holding up better than ever! I never fill in my brows any more, and only use brow gel when I feel like putting on make up. Saves me so much time in the mornings! Super happy with the results, I will probably book a touch up in a couple of months. Thank you Mina! Oh and also, I guess people get intimidated that her set up is in a tattoo shop... the previous artist I went to also had a set up in a tattoo shop so this was normal to me. She even made my hairs a little wavy to match my natural texture. This is one of those rare times where I wish Yelp gave the option of giving a business 10 stars. Mina is an absolute wonder. The booking process itself is incredibly simple and well designed. Mina was on point with confirming the appointment time and also sent a text as the date got closer. I chose to do the complete brow package, and combined my consultation with the base session, which I would recommend to others as well. Mina is a total sweetheart and immediately puts you at ease. She listens to what you want and is really strict on not putting too much color on the first round. She acknowledged that you can always go darker on the follow up appointment, which was music to my ears because I was worried they may be too dark/too much of a change. Once the consultation is done, she begins to meticulously draw out your new set of brows. She measures, draws, edits...etc. This honestly is what took most of the time, and that is awesome because you are able to see what you will be getting when she does the actual microblading. The microblading itself wasn't painful, in my opinion. She uses numbing cream and it is a single needle so it isn't a heavy handed procedure. The final results were absolutely amazing and I am beyond thrilled. Life changing! Five GAZILLION stars. Mina deserves all the stars. Completely worth the wait, as she books up months in advance. Mina is an eyebrow wizard. I booked the complete eyebrow package, and came in for my consultation and first session on the same day. Mina's studio is located inside Castro Tattoo on 17th Street. It is extremely clean. Everything together took a little over 3.5 hours. Mina was very patient helping me decide on the best brows and with listening to what I wanted. She drew on brows in eyebrow pencil and then again to finalize with a finer eyebrow pen before the actual tattooing. The procedure itself was very painless and easy--Mina uses numbing cream and is very good at alternating between brows during the nano-needling. She was extremely meticulous and a perfectionist---clutch. It's very clear that Mina is passionate and extremely invested in her work. A wizard, I tell you. After the tattooing, we looked at the brows, she gave me detailed instructions for aftercare, and sent a link to book my touch-up appointment in 6 weeks. Additional touch-ups every 8-12 months are ~$240, which is amazing. She also offers shading+nano-needling for people who need a bit more filling-in for sparse brow patches! Everything about my microblading experience with Mina was effortless and positive. I had barely any redness right after the appt and basically no down-time. The other reviewers are right. Mina is an artist. I had those terrible square tattooed brows done at a nail salon. It took three years to laser them off, and I was paranoid about having them done again for fear that I'd spent the rest of my life (I am 80) trying to get rid of them. Brow Club is the BEST!!! Mina does an amazing job of creating beautiful brows that frame and flatter your face to perfection. I purchased the Complete Brow Package, which included 3 appointments: the Design Consultation, the First Session, and the 6-Week Touch-Up. The Design Consultation and First Session can be combined, but I kept them separate to make sure I was 100% pleased with the look and color of my brows. The process itself was really comfortable. I felt a little bit of stinging here and there, but it wasn't bad at all. I actually found my microblading sessions to be relaxing! After a week and 1/2 of healing, I'm left with hassel-free, beautiful, natural-looking eyebrows.
