beautiful and romantic vibe...on the first floor. But when they take you upstairs...not so much. Menu was limited. the combinations of ingredients in their recipes cater to a particular palate. Drinks take a while to get, at least upstairs. Our waiter wasn't that knowledgeable about pairing wines with foods. and didn't leave us confident when he was told one of us in our party had a food allergy. Was not my favorite place in Rehoboth Beach. The restaurant itself is pleasing to look at and has a moody effect with white twinkle lights and white draping. We sat promptly post our reservation. We started our meal with the big bar plus added charcuterie. This was a nice selection of cheeses including aged , creamy and hard cheese with pickled green beans , jam , grapes , and nuts. This was honestly the star of the show. We also ordered the burrata but that was forgotten but we didn't need after all as the cheese plate was filing. We decided on 3 different entrees for four people . Two chose the scallop risotto dish, one the veal osso buco, the last the filet mignon. All four dishes came to the table less than warm to touch and taste . They were presented nice but could have stood to be more hot. The entrees were all good enough but not great. The veal dish had a shank that was fall off the bone tender with a rice side and a cold complimenting corn and pepper salad, bok choy. The scallop dish had a strong flavor of pepper but was cold . The filet was cooked to order and no complaints on that dish. We had two round of cocktails including the blueberry lemonade with vodka which was too sweet and didn't seem booze heavy, the Philly mule. The drinks didn't also wow us so we opted for a bottle of wine to share. We did get two desserts key lime pie and a strawberry cake special. So disappointing! Had the prime sirloin strip which was good. The au gratin potatoes side dish with it was awful, hard potatoes, obviously not cooked nearly enough. Also had the softshells. They were good however came one at a time. By the time the other one came out I was finished eating. Was comped as an app due to this mishap. Thank you, The risotto with peas were terrible. The bartender shined his full rack of wine and martini glasses, crowding us. We were the only ones at the bar! This has been a favorite spot of ours as we live here. Not sure if we'll go back. This place did not live up to the reviews. Not sure if we got a new chef or if they were having an off night. Based off reviews we got the scallops and halibut (not pictured). Both lacked flavor. My husband said the halibut needed salt. Having been to shorebreak lodge the other night (their risotto and scallop were out of this world) we had high hopes. Unfortunately the risotto was so bland and mushy and the scallops were just okay. Our dinner at Eden was my favorite dining experience on our trip to Rehoboth! We sat outside and enjoyed the beautiful weather - but the inside space was gorgeous and I would happily try that out next time. Our server was incredibly knowledgeable and super friendly. Honestly, the entire staff was great - we always had drinks, plates were cleared quickly, and we were checked on as needed but not too much. We loved our food - the grilled romaine Caesar salad was delicious, and we really enjoyed the chili shrimp with jasmine rice. The pan roasted chicken with bucatini pasta was outstanding - the citrus sauce and veggies made this a really great summer dish. My husband really enjoyed his cocktails (I just stuck to club soda, but would like to try one in the future). Looking forward to returning! read more

Good food (mostly), mediocre service. 7:30 reservation - ordered wine, drinks, water, salad and appetizers at 7:45. At 8:50 we were still waiting for salads (wtf!). Hot water for tea but no mug/cup, the mug comes, no sweetener, the honey comes, no spoon. Side order of mashed potatoes came cold, sent back for warming, returned with no serving spoon(s). $400 bill but I would've given a $4 tip...IJS. Scallops, tuna, ceviche, chili shrimp and salads were good. Skip the tasteless lobster/shrimp tower. Key lime pie good, strawberry cake was a dry sliver. No manager to discuss service with, only a defensive waiter. Come with low expectations and a simplistic palate. read more

The food and service were amazing. With small appetites, we hesitated to order two entrees. We asked about sharing and the waiter volunteered splitting it in the kitchen, so thoughtful. He did the same for the wonderful (very fresh) salad. The entree was the perfect amount for us. We also enjoyed the Sancerre and the waiter answered our questions about where to purchase it. The inside atmosphere is inviting, cool-looking tree branches of white lighting ceiling and private curtain booths. Dinning has Great spacing for covid safety here. The wine selection was a very thoughtful and wide variety for American, French, Italian, and Spanish. Our dinners were outstanding: Soup Du Jour was seafood twist with New Orleans seafood slant, the Broken-arrow Ranch Antelope was slight, light game taste and perfectly seasoned, trimmed and cooked med-rare. Same for the Kurobuta Pork Tomahawk Pork Chop. Creamy mashed potatoes with fresh steamed broccoli. Hard to pick just one dessert- "Not your average root beer" was mine- homemade french vanilla cake, chocolate light fudge, and homemade ice cream- light and perfect. We went to Eden for a bachelorette dinner to celebrate. We ordered 9 entrees, which included 3 filet minions and an ahi tuna. Two to the filets were made correctly but we asked for the third to be medium rare and sent it back - but it came back rare both times. Also rice came with the ahi tuna, the first time it was served cold and the second time they attempted to heat the rice but it came out undercooked and grainy. When we expressed our concerns, a staff member told us that "we prepared 130 dinners tonight, not all of them are going to be perfect". I appreciated that they comped those two entrees, but we found the comment rude considering the price of the food. Our main waiter was very friendly, but we won't be returning. It didn't help that we were the only party of people of color at the restaurant. read more

This establishment is superior to any establishment in the area. Kevin my server was literally the best server I have ever had, and knew my needs before I did. I appreciate this establishment so much and I will be back 100 times over. Your experience will not be disappointing if you plan to visit this location. The wine selection is particularly inclusive and they have bottle or the glass selections that are unmatched. Realize that this review was made during COVID-19. We have been to Eden before and we're very happy with it. Unfortunately, this time, I cannot say the same thing. Our waiter was very rushed. It certainly appeared to us like he had way too many tables. So the service was just terrible. The food was OK. It wasn't great, but it was OK. Until the desserts, that is. The crème brûlée that we ordered was undercooked. Like really undercooked. I'm not even sure it was safe to eat. The other dessert we ordered was also a disaster. They claimed it was strawberry shortcake. What it was, was a big square of dry cake served with two strawberries that had been thinly sliced on the side and a dollop of whipped cream. I was going to tell our waiter that they should fire the pastry chef but he never even came back to ask us how desserts were. I think he knew and was embarrassed. Basically, we are not going back. For the price this restaurant charges, they should be doing a lot better. read more

The antelope was delicious and very tender -- could have been a filet minion. My friend had the halibut and he said it was delicious. My son asked the waiter how big the Chicken Breast was and is answer "Like a Chicken Breast"! Not the answer he or I or anyone on the table was expecting !! The food was fine, not amazing. This restaurant has ambiance, excellent food and terrific staff! You can't go wrong with this place. When you first walk in, you see how romantic of a restaurant this is. The lighting is perfect and it has great mood. We weren't starving, so we went straight to the main course. I had the Baked Halibut with Spaghetti Squash and Roasted Carrots (as pictured) and I tasted the Pork Tenderloin with Potatoes and Cauliflower (as pictured). Both dishes were absolutely fabulous!!!! We ended our dinner with Apple Pound Cake and a scoop of Ice Cream (as pictured). This was equally delicious!!!! The waitstaff were on point and we never felt rushed or needed anything. Our experience at Eden couldn't have been better! We called ahead and they were able to accommodate our large group of 16 upstairs. Shout out to our server Kevin who was awesome, extremely knowledgeable about everything on the menu and made our dinner so much fun. Several of us ordered the scallops which were so beautifully plated! The scallops were seared with tender, springy centers and served on a bed of risotto that acted as a perfect savory canvas for seasonal vegetables. The restaurant is spacious, with indoor and outdoor seating options and the ambience was so lovely, complete with soft, white fairy lights and white romantic drapery on the ceiling. The main entrees were well cooked and tasted fine if not exciting - my table had scallops, antelope, and steak. Unfortunately the accompanying vegetables/starches were a disappointment by every standard and I have to say that my brussels sprouts were bone dry, scorched, and the worst I have had in a long time. The tuna appetizer was fairly good if a very small portion, desserts were quite good - but at $30 per entree you gotta give me better food than Eden provided. The wine list is solid , the main entrees were average, and the service was pretty good. At these prices though it would be generous and give Eden 3 stars so I'm going with 2 because I've had MUCH better food and experiences in upscale restaurants at this price point and I have no interest whatsoever in returning to Eden during future trips to Rehoboth Beach. read more
