I brought my 2013 Ford Edge to Kolb Family Automotive for multiple electrical issues including…read moreclimate control problems, windshield wipers not working, an airbag light, and service advance trac warnings. Their online scheduling system originally booked my appointment incorrectly for 4/2 instead of 4/3, but they did agree to still look over the vehicle, which I appreciated. After diagnosing the vehicle on 4/3, they contacted me with recommended repairs and I approved the work. My vehicle remained there for over two weeks and I picked it up after hours on Friday, 4/24. Immediately after pickup, I realized several of the original issues were still unresolved. The windshield wipers still did not work, the airbag light was still on, and later I discovered my backup camera no longer worked and the ambient temperature display now only showed dashes instead of a reading. I texted them that same evening regarding the unresolved issues. A few days later, I was told the wipers had essentially been forgotten about after another repair was completed and that the airbag concern was not something they worked on due to liability reasons -- something that was never communicated to me upfront despite being one of the main reasons I brought the vehicle in. The only repair that appears improved are the brakes, however now the vehicle shakes while braking. I can finally turn the heat off, but now my AC no longer works either. What was most disappointing to me was the lack of follow-up afterward. I sent a respectful message explaining my concerns after picking the vehicle up and never received any response. At that point, it stopped feeling like an honest mistake and started feeling like my concerns simply were not important. I understand older vehicles can be difficult to diagnose, but after spending a significant amount of money and being without my vehicle for over two weeks, I expected better communication, more thorough follow-through, and confirmation that the original concerns had actually been resolved before returning the vehicle. Overall, I left feeling frustrated and disappointed with the experience.

The work was so PERFECT that, as someone who is very meticulous with my cars, there is NOTHING that I could discern that felt, sounded, looked, or handled differently. I contacted them because the starter motor in my BMW died. I called Kulik's as it is relatively near to my house. They said they could do it but I would have to have a tow operator pick it up which I did. They completed the job in 2 days which I felt was good. They called me to pick up the car and when I got it home noticed there was a ding on the hood. Apparently the mechanic closed the hood on a tool which dented my hood. When I brought it back they apologized and had the dent repaired and the hood repainted. It was a bother to me which I do not think I was compensated for however everything turned out ok. I will probably continue to use them as Dave was helpful and apologetic for the incident.

Everyone I dealt with was professional, friendly, helpful, and had a smile every step of the way. Their customer service truly stood out. I would highly recommend Auto C&G for any collision repair or other vehicle maintenance needs. Great people and great service!

Welp, I had an oopsie. I was parked at a business in a very tight spot. It was the last free spot,…read morebetween another car, a brick wall, a telephone pole, backing out directly into traffic. I had a bad feeling about it right away. And in the end, I was right--the telephone pole got me. :-( I grazed it while backing out, enough to do a noticeable ding. Nobody was hurt. I didn't damage any property of anyone else. Except for the bit of telephone pole lodged into my driver-side door. I shopped around online for a collision shop not far from home with decent reviews, and landed on Schmidt's. I liked how the majority of their reviews on Yelp and Google mentioned that they handle pretty much all of the insurance back-and-forth, plus do great work. I called them, and they could see my car right away, so off we went. After meeting with Schmidt's, we decided to leave my car there right then for them to do the work. The shop was clean. Everyone was very friendly. (One hrrrmmmppphhh, nobody was wearing a mask, but I was, and they stayed their distance.) I called my insurance agency to connect them with Schmidt's, and for the most part they communicated with each other, without me having to do much at all. It took about four or five days for the insurance to finalize the approvals, and another four days or so for Schmidt's to do the work. The nature of the work is a lot of applying, then drying, then doing that again, so I knew it would take a while. But when I picked up my car, the work was impeccable! No signs that my driver-side door was ever up-close-and-personal with a telephone pole. The paint was all blended just right to match the rest of the driver-side of the car, and my pinstripe was reapplied nicely, too. I have had horrendous luck with most automobile shops, still not having a good, reliable, trustworthy go-to mechanic. But when it comes to collision, if I ever need work like this again (and I sure hope I don't!), Schmidt's is definitely my go-to collision shop.
