While I should be posting as a posted a review my fingers were just a little juicy from the chicken, that's a good start! I ordered the same; Chicken, Green Chile Mac and baked beans. Stephanie was on task and asked me to wait a few and the wait was about 5 minutes. I glanced back at the kitchen and saw her and that chicken doing that juicy dance a smile came across my face, I said to myself.. good start! I started with the beans, yes, finally, spiced and seasoned with some heat, not mushy, firm and with some onions calling my name. Okay, it's working now..seasoning was on point. Green Chile Mac! Hello Green Chiles, where have you been! Thank YOU! Chiles were good size and were complimentary to the Mac. Those were in fact Green Chiles.. firm with a good bite and texture. The cheese didn't overrun the Chiles all in balance. Now the chicken, no bbq sauce was needed as there was nothing to cover up! Juicy, moist and flavor filled with just a hint of smoke as to not over power the chicken. Even after an hour the chicken is still moist and seasoning again just enough to let the bird shine. Overall this return visit was worth the try. I appreciate owners when a customer is truthful about a review and is honest and can tell the owners what was an issue and allow them the opportunity to fix if not for you but all of their customers. Without feedback you can grow a cliental. For me you have to eat, how the chef prepares the meal and allow their work to shine without adding extra salt, pepper or kill it with sauces but that's just me! The staff was so engaging and I actually found out they grew up in the same neighborhood so that's a plus. Overall - I was really happy and yes, some of that chicken may become a midnight snack. Thanks so much and up next is brisket!! Stephanie and Juan you rocked!

For having a lot of people working there, they seemed almost annoyed that they had to give me customer service at all. I didn't order ahead because their only online ordering system seemed to be Doordash, and I didn't feel like dealing with that, so I expected that I'd have to wait a bit, but it still felt slow even under those circumstances for catfish, fries, and some spicy mac and cheese. It's a little weird that the only extras it came with were two pieces of untoasted, plain white bread and some hot sauce. No sauce for the fries, or for the fish. Not unbearable, but a little stingy. Maybe there were sauces I could have grabbed, but the staff certainly weren't interested in suggesting anything. The fries were solid, with a good batter. If you're going to go there (and hey, maybe you're the sort of person they're nice to), definitely get some of those. The catfish was about what you'd expect from the catfish, so I wasn't mad about it. And mac and cheese was fine, they didn't skimp on the poblanos. If you happen to be in the area and need barbecue, it's probably an okay choice, but if you already have places you like, this may not be worth it. They're probably indifferent to your patronage either way.

I did not get sick or anything, but my cousin said the same thing when I gave her a piece. It didn't taste odd but there was nothing special about it. None of the meats had a smoke flavor to them. The brisket was dry as my skin in the winter. My cousin ordered the Texas twinkie and it was hard as a rock. The potato salad is straight up nasty. I don't know for sure, but I do not think the food is cooked at the restaurant and perhaps microwaves are used to reheat the precooked food. Service (4 stars) Bartender was extremely patient while waiting to take our order. Recommended one of the in-house beers. Atmosphere (4 stars) Seems like they have a decent local following. I would go back and sit at the bar and enjoy a beer. But never going back for a meal. Cleanliness (3 stars) Bathrooms are not clean.

The brisket was tender with a great bark, and the ribs were just as flavorful. For sides, we went with the jalapeño cilantro coleslaw, bacon mac 'n cheese, baked beans, and corn muffins with honey butter. Everything was delicious, but the corn muffins with the honey butter were definitely a standout. The service was also amazing, and the atmosphere made the experience even better. We sat inside and got to watch the end of the Rams vs. Seahawks playoff game while we ate, which was a perfect way to wrap up the meal. Great BBQ, excellent sides, friendly service, and a fun atmosphere. Definitely worth a stop if you're craving BBQ in Denver! #cleanyourplate

I've never had pulled pork bright pink in color, with such a different smell and a flaccid, chewy texture. After a couple bites, I just couldn't do it. The mac & cheese was basic, the baked beans could have used seasoning, and the BBQ sauce was a huge letdown - no smoke/spice there. Everything smelled amazing and looked great, so I really wanted to love it, but the food just didn't deliver. The service was excellent, if it was just about that. Maybe it's just a different style of barbecue. I like a lot of seasoning, flavor, and spice and I didn't get any of that here. Nothing stood out as decent. Recommendations? The beans were thick and full of meat pieces which I love. The corn bread was more like a corn cake. Super buttery and chewy, it was delicious...maybe the best corn bread I have ever had! On to the meats...........Burnt Ends- Meh...they were just ok. 2 pieces of the 6 were straight up fat, with no meat on them. A tad disappointed in that! The brisket was a little dry, but still tasty enough. Their regular bbq sauce is really good, and I dipped my brisket in that. Solid 3 meat plate minus the 2 shitty burnt ends pieces. **Ambiance** This…read moreplace definitely gives off a hole-in-the-wall vibe, which honestly is one of my favorite kinds of places. It reminded me a lot of those tiny roast meat shops and restaurant stalls you'd find in NYC's Chinatown. The dining area is pretty small, so it can get a little warm inside, but they do have AC units and fans running to help keep things comfortable. There are only four tables indoors--two larger tables that can fit about four people each and two smaller tables for two. They also have a few tables outside if you'd rather sit outdoors. **Service** Service was great. The lady working there was super friendly and spoke English, Cantonese, and Mandarin fluently. She was welcoming, patient, and happy to answer questions. **Food** The star of the show is definitely the roasted meats. They make their own roast duck, roast pork, and BBQ pork in-house, and everything I tried was delicious. As someone who grew up eating a lot of Chinese BBQ in Las Vegas, I have to admit I was surprised by how much I enjoyed the meat here. The quality and flavor were honestly better than many places I've tried back home, and Vegas has no shortage of Chinese restaurants. The BBQ pork especially stood out. It was mostly lean meat with just the right amount of fat for flavor. A lot of places load it up with huge layers of fat, and you end up feeling like you're chewing more fat than meat. Here, every bite felt balanced and flavorful. **Overall** Now that I know they're right next to H Mart, I can definitely see myself making the drive whenever I'm craving roast duck, roast pork, or BBQ pork. The reality is there really isn't anywhere else in Colorado Springs that specializes in Cantonese-style roasted meats like this, so if that's what you're craving, this is the place to go.
