The owner was very friendly and the pizza was excellent and neat. The owner stated that he had been there in business for 41 years and still going proud and strong . The pizza shop is small and had a lot of character. The service was fast. The pizza had an excellent crust and the toppings were plentiful . My whole family of 4 enjoyed the pizza read more

Wow. Old school, fantastic NY style pizza in Valley Stream. Happened on this little hidden gem by having it recomended by a silly AI program and so far, it's 1 for 1. Don't ask for salad pizza or some other fufu weird concoction made by someone who doesn't know anything. Go in for a guy who's been spinning pizza for over 4 decades, will greet you with a friendly smile and serve some of the best old school NY pizza I've had in many years. Every time I'm in the area I'm stopping back. Outstanding. read more

Eddie D's Pizzeria - The best pizza on Long Island - Pizza Near Me - Valley Stream, New York

Back again as I was back in the area. Eddie is truly an awesome guy - super kind to everyone who walks into his shop. It is cash only so keep that in mind! He clearly cares about the food he serves - the ambiance is so old school and nostalgic with those benches and red tables. I'll come back every single time I come back to visit my home town. read more

I don't like pizza, but I like Eddie's pizza! Pizza is not the same as I remember from the 70's, except here. So, on the rare occasion I want pizza, I'll be at this place. More of a take out vibe, and always friendly service from Eddie. P.S. I saw someone thought these reviews weren't real, but since I already ate two slices, the only proof is a picture of my plate with nothing left but pizza marks. read more

Great neighborhood pizza shop! Food is good, service stellar! Been going there for large pie for over 20 years.

Good little old fashioned small family business. The pizza is good. I believe the gentleman making and serving the pizza is the owner. I did a double take when advised a whole pie was $18, but alas, it was a medium pie. Give the guy cash, it's a small joint. read more

Food & service were very good , real personal individual looking forward to going there again

The pizza you grew up eating. Eddie is as classic as his pizza. Had it for the first time last night and he stayed open an extra 15 minutes just to make sure my pizza was done to his liking. When I told him it was my first time he made me a slice while I waited. Old school stuff, the kind of stuff that's missing these days. Thin crust, no flop, nice crunch, plenty of cheese and delicious 'just sweet enough' sauce. When I'm back home (retired to FL), I'll never spend a dollar in another pizza parlor. read more

Eddie D's Pizzeria - Pizza Near Me - Valley Stream, New York

Eddie D's Pizzeria is hands down the best pizza on Long Island--no contest. The crust is perfectly crisp, the sauce is flavorful, and the cheese is always fresh and melted to perfection. Whether you're grabbing a classic slice or one of their specialty pies, every bite is a home run. One thing to keep in mind--be ready to wait. They don't have pizzas just sitting around; everything is made to order, which is part of what makes it so fresh and delicious. My kids absolutely love this place--they can't get enough of it, and honestly, I can't blame them. If you haven't tried Eddie D's yet, you're seriously missing out. Just go--you won't regret it! read more

Old school actual old school New York pizza by an older Italian gentleman. It's so hard to find that nowadays. I got the chicken pizza it was awesome. I got one slice upset I did not have more cash and I was rushing to class. Cash only, so make sure you bring cash. Owner was very nice, will definitely be back. I tried taking menu photos but the sun wasn't in my favor that day. Definitely a must try, made me happy on a stressful day read more

Best pizza in town. Hands down. To add, Eddie is so kind and hospitable. Highly recommend.

Place is a hidden gem. Feels like you went in a time machine to what pizza places looked like when you were a kid. Probably because it's never been updated. Cash only. No delivery. People seem to call ahead even if they're sitting down. Eddie is the only person that makes pizza. Menu is very basic. Was shocked at how inexpensive it was. I had to make sure he got everything. Eddie and the other worker couldn't have been nicer to my kids. read more

Old school NY pizza spot. The first time I tried to grab a slice was too late and they were closing. When I opened the door the smell knock some nostalgia gears into rotation and I was taken back to the daily after school pizza slice trip of my childhood in NYC. I had to come back and try it. When I returned I met the owner who was making the pizza and he was very welcoming and classic pizza guy. Very friendly and made me feel like a regular. Plenty of regulars arrived and they would talk like old friends. So this place is definitely a neighborhood staple. I ordered a regular slice and a pepperoni slice to get a baseline. The regular was delicious and definitely old school, great crust, no flop, and the cheese was not too oily. The pepperoni slice had a bit of flop but was delicious. The slices were a bit smaller than I expected but the price was fair. I paid $8.00 for a regular slice, pepperoni slice, and a can of Pepsi. Cash only spot! I was satisfied enough to ask for a third slice, this time opting for a mushroom slice and it was also wonderful. This place is a classic pizza spot, no new specialty style slices. So no grandma or Buffalo chicken. Which is fine because enough places already do that. The decor is dated to the 80's or even earlier. Which is also fine because this is not a date spot, it is a classic pizza spot, grab a slice and go or sit down for a few minutes and recharge. Come here if you want to walk into the past and taste old school NY pizza with a nice sauce and real cheese. Definitely visiting Eddie again and going to start ordering pies from there. read more

Pizza Place like it was 40 years ago. Unpretentious-classic-slice and soda - forget the over rated maxi-fashion slice when you come to Eddie D's. Music cranks like the 1980's too. Last but not least - owner pleasant too. read more

I found this pizza shop in Yelp and the reviews were good enough to entice me to give it a shot. Upon entry I was greeted. It was lunch time on weekday, but I was the only customer. The owner was very friendly and told me he had old fashioned pizza. I ordered a plain pizza and pepperoni slice and a Coke. The pizza was good, however it wasn't memorable or flavorful in a way to make me go out of my return. There's a lot of good pizza in the area to settle. The pizza tasted good, but it just didn't have a wow factor. I also wished it was oven hot! The lunch special is a good value, two slices and a fountain drink for $5.50. Inside also didn't feel very clean. My tables looked like it needed to be wiped down. It wasn't atrociously dirty, it just don't looked like it was recently wiped for cleanliness. read more
